        Research on LPF-GSMC Control of Molten Metal Crane Based on Multi-mass-spring-damping Model

        The molten metal crane faced with high difficulty to control can be mainly attributed to the features as a typical underactuated system and liquid sloshing phenomenon is often ignored in the existing control methods. Consequently, this paper firstly establishes the multi-mass-spring-damping mechanics model of liquid sloshing, followed by deducing the dynamics equation of the molten metal crane system based on the model in detail, which verifies the correctness of the system model from the physical sense. Then, a low pass filter global sliding mode control (LPF-GSMC) is introduced to effectively eliminate the high frequency signals of the system and keep the system on the sliding mode surface. Lastly, a hardware experiment and three kinds of numerical simulations were designed for the molten metal crane system. The hardware experiment shows that compared with the traditional solid-load model, the proposed model is more consistent with the dynamic characteristics of liquid load during transportation. And the numerical simulations show that compared with the conventional sliding mode controller and low-pass filter sliding mode controller, the proposeed LPF-GSMC controller possesses higher response speed and better control performance. Also, under the interference of wind and the non-zero initial angular, the proposed controller can ensure that the maximum load swing angle is less than 2◦ degrees and converges within 7 seconds, which fully demonstrats favorable global robustness.

        Underwater contactless wet‑mateable connector using bowl‑shaped coils

        Wet-mateable connectors enabling power and communication for underwater equipment are greatly favored for underwater systems. However, conventional underwater wet-mateable connectors with electrical contact conductors have the features of high cost, limited mate/de-mate times, and high risk of ground faults when being applied underwater, which limits their used. In this paper, a contactless underwater wet-mateable connector with bowl-shaped couplers was proposed, and an equivalent circuit for inductive power transmission was modeled and analyzed. Then the mathematical expression of the magnetic induction intensity of the bowl-shaped coil was derived. The parameters including co , zco , and s0 of the coil were analyzed and optimized to attain better performance and lower cost. A prototype was built and tested. Results showed that it can transmit power up to 1125 W with an efficiency of 85%. In addition, it can achieve a data rate up to 6 MB/s under a water pressure of 20 MPa.

        Characterization and performance of SmxA1xMnO3 (A=Ce, Sr, Ca) perovskite for efficient catalytic oxidation of toluene

        Catalytic oxidation of toluene was implemented over SmMnO3, Sm0.8A0.2MnO3 (ABO3, A=Ce, Sr, Ca) and Sm1xCaxMnO3 (x=0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) perovskite oxides synthesized via sol-gel method. The effects of A-site substitution of SmMnO3 and the amount of calcium substitution of SmMnO3 perovskite-type catalyst on the catalytic activity of toluene were investigated in a fixed bed reactor. The structure and chemical properties of the perovskites were studied by XRD, SEM, XPS, and H2-TPR. The results showed that the substitution of Ce and Ca had a positive impact about the catalytic properties of toluene oxidation, while a negative impact was caused by the substitution of Sr. The catalytic activity of toluene oxidation followed the order of Sm0.8Ca0.2MnO3>Sm0.8Ce0.2MnO3>SmMnO3>Sm0.8Sr0.2MnO3 in terms of the temperature of T90%, at toluene concentration=1,000 ppm and weight hourly space velocity (WHSV)=3,000mL/ g·h. Sm0.8Ca0.2MnO3 had the highest catalytic capacity (T90%=238 oC), which could be attributed to its high adsorbed oxygen concentration, Mn4+/Mn3+, and the best low-temperature reducibility (H2 consumption=0.36). Meanwhile, the Sm0.8Ca0.2MnO3 catalysts showed great long-term stability after 30 h of the reaction, and the toluene degradation rate remained over 95% at 350 oC.

        A real-time sorting algorithm for in-beam PET of heavy-ion cancer therapy device

        A real-time digital time-stamp sorting algorithm used in the In-Beam positron emission tomography (In-Beam PET) is presented. The algorithm is operated in the field programmable gate array (FPGA) and a small amount of registers, MUX and memory cells are used. It is developed for sorting the data of annihilation event from front-end circuits, so as to identify the coincidence events efficiently in a large amount of data. In the In-Beam PET, each annihilation event is detected by the detector array and digitized by the analog to digital converter (ADC) in Data Acquisition Unit (DAQU), with a resolution of 14 bits and sampling rate of 50 MS/s. Test and preliminary operation have been implemented, it can perform a sorting operation under the event count rate up to 1 MHz per channel, and support four channels in total, count rate up to 4 MHz. The performance of this algorithm has been verified by pulse generator and <sup>22</sup>Na radiation source, which can sort the events with chaotic order into chronological order completely. The application of this algorithm provides not only an efficient solution for selection of coincidence events, but also a design of electronic circuit with a small-scale structure.

It then gives some policy suggestions.

        The effect of Glomus intraradices on the physiological properties of Panax ginseng and on rhizospheric microbial diversity

        Background: Glomus intraradices is a species of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi that, as an obligate endomycorrhiza, can form mutually beneficial associations with plants. Panax ginseng is a popular traditional Chinese medicine; however, problems associated with ginseng planting, such as pesticide residues, reduce the ginseng quality. Methods: In this experiment, we studied the effect of inoculating G. intraradices on several physiological properties and microbial communities of ginseng. UV-Visible Spectrum method was used to detect physical properties. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis method was used to analyze microbial communities. Results: The results indicated that inoculation with G. intraradices can improve the colonization rate of lateral ginseng roots, increase the levels of monomeric and total ginsenosides, and improve root activity as well as polyphenol oxidase and catalase activities. We also studied the bacterial and fungal communities in ginseng rhizospheric soil. In our study, G. intraradices inoculation improved the abundance and Shannon diversity of bacteria, whereas fungi showed a reciprocal effect. Furthermore, we found that G. intraradices inoculation might increase some beneficial bacterial species and decreased pathogenic fungi in rhizospheric soil of ginseng. Conclusion: Our results showed that G. intraradices can benefit ginseng planting which may have some instructive and practical significance for planting ginseng in farmland.
