Development of binomial sampling plan for Bemisia tabaci in paprika greenhouses

The density of sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, on greenhouse paprika (Capsicum annuum var. angulosum) were determined by counts of the number of B. tabaci per leaflet in Jinju, Gyeungsangnamdo during 2014. Binomial sampling plans were developed based on the relationship between the mean density per leaf (m) and the proportion of leaf infested with less than T B. tabaci per leaf (PT), according to empirical model (ln(m) = α + β(ln(-ln(1-PT))). T was defined as tally threshold, and set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (adults) and 1, 3, 5, 7 (pupae) per leaf in this study. Increasing sample size, regardless of tally threshold, had little effects on the precision of the binomial sampling plan. Increasing sample size had little effect on the precision of the estimated mean regardless of tally thresholds. T=1 was chosen as the best tally threshold for estimating densities of B. tabaci adults based on the precision on the model and T=3 was best tally thresholds in B. tabaci pupae. Using the results obtained in the greenhouse, simulated validation of the developed sampling plan by RVSP (Resampling Validation for Sampling Plan) indicated the suitable results.

A causality exists between insect density and plant health, where plant health is affected by both the plant’s potential and environmental factors. In other words, causality is possible between insect density and environmental factors, allowing for the analysis of insect density based on these environmental factors. Machine learning enables studying insect density alongside environmental factors, providing insights into the causality between insects, the environment, and plant health. Machine learning is a methodology that involves the design of models by learning patterns from input data. This study aims to predict F. occidentalis density by sampling environmental factors and applying them to machine learning models.

비래해충은 중국에서 제트기류를 타고 유입하여 피해를 일으키는 해충으로 애멸구를 제외한 나머지 것들의 월동은 불가능 한 것으로 알려져 있다. 기후변화는 이러한 비 월동개체군의 월동 가능성 및 토착화 가능성을 내포하고 있으므로, 이에 대비하여 비래해충의 피해가 있는 주 재배지별 비래해충의 발생과 유입특성 파악을 위한 실태조사가 절실하다. 본 연구에서는 전라북도 3개의 시군, 전라남도 4개의 시군을 선정하여 비래해충에 대한 실태조사를 진행하였다. 이 중 멸구류 (벼멸구(Nilaparvata lugens), 애멸구(Laodelphax striatellus), 흰등멸구(Sogatella furcifera))는 육안조사, 포충망조사, 끈끈이 트랩을 이용하였고, 나방 두 종류(멸강나방(Mythimna separata), 혹명나방(Cnaphalocrocis medinalis))는 종 특이적 페로몬을 설치하여 조사하였다.
Spatial pattern analysis for migratory insect pests distribution in Jeolla-province

Five major migratory insect pest populations (Nilaparvata lugens, Sogatella furcifera, Laodelphax striatellus, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis, Mythimna separata) migrate from the southern China to Korea through jet streams. This study was conducted from July 2017 to August 2017 in rice paddy of Jeolla-province. C. medinalis and M. separata collected using pheromone traps, while N. lugens, S. furcifera and L. striatellus collected using 3 methods (visual surveys, sweeping surveys, sticky traps). Spatial Analysis by Distance IndicEs (SADIE) was used to analyze spatial distribution and index of aggregation Ia, index of clustering Vi, Vj were used to investigate the spatial distribution. Also, the clustering indices were mapped as red-blue plot.

In recent years, numerous studies have attempted to find and explore the auxiliary brake and the oil pressure type and electrical type are mainly used. However, the model proposed here is to self-excited eddy current brake. The advantage of this is it does not require an external power supply and can be produced to reduce the size than others. This self-eddy current brake consists of RLC circuit so resistance, inductance and capacitance value can be considered a fixed value. But, inductance and resistance value changes depending on the shape, temperature and magnetic alteration. Therefore, in this paper, the focal point is characteristic analysis according to the parameter variations. Also, using this result, this paper explains how to estimate the capacitance.
Forecasting Rice leaf roller and Oriental armyworm in Korea using Maximum Entropy Model

비래해충인 혹명나방(Cnaphalocrocis medinalis)과 멸강나방(Mythimna separata)은 아시아의 주요 벼 재배국가에 광범위하게 분포하고 있는 벼의 주요 해충이다. 국내에서는 벼멸구, 흰등멸구와 함께 중국에서 비래하여 나타나는 것으로 알려져 있다. 혹명나방과 멸강나방의 발생지역과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계에 있는 환경변수를 확인하고, 국내에서의 지속적인 발생 가능성을 알아보기 위해 Maxent (Maximum Entropy Model) 3.3.2를 사용하였다.
