        <P>Tropomyosin-related kinase A (TrkA) is considered a promising target in the development of a therapeutic treatment of cancer and pain. In this study, we designed and synthesized a series of novel 7-azaindole-based Trk kinase inhibitors through the structure-based design strategy. By varying the functional groups at the 3 and 5 positions of a 7-azaindole scaffold, we studied the structure–activity relationships (SAR) profiles and identified a series of potent Trk inhibitors. Representative derivatives showed desirable activity in cellular proliferation and apoptosis assays.         <P>Two metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) based on metal–organic cuboctahedra were prepared using a rigid <I>C</I><SUB>3</SUB> symmetric ligand, where Zn polyhedron-based MOF (PMOF-2(Zn)) did not show any significant gas sorption behavior, whereas the isostructural Cu polyhedron-based MOF (PMOF-2(Cu)) showed a large surface area of ∼4180 m<SUP>2</SUP> g<SUP>−1</SUP>, high hydrothermal stability, and very promising H<SUB>2</SUB> sorption properties.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>A copper cuboctahedron-based MOF (PMOF-2(Cu)) with exposed metal sites showed a large surface area, high hydrothermal stability, and promising H<SUB>2</SUB> sorption capacity. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=b909250a'> </P>

      • A study on development of car seat thermal comfort evaluation system

        In the automobile industry, the technical characteristic of each component has been exploding improved. The technology level is capable of benchmarking from many manufacturers and it is possible to maintain a similar level, so recently, the sensitivity aspect given to users has emerged as an important part. Among them, the seat is in contact with the passenger's body during boarding, and it has a very close relationship to judging the comfort or discomfort. In this research, we tried to develop a seat thermal comfort evaluation method to evaluate the influence of the characteristic on the real environment and the human sensibility, based on the physical properties of the seat cover. In addition, by using the qualitative data (subjective assessment questionnaire) and quantitative evaluations (temperature / humidity, physiological signal; EEG, ECG, GSR), the validity of the evaluation method was verified. As a result, it was observed that the variation of the temperature and humidity of the seat cushion with the change of the seasons had a very significant effect on the comfort of the seat. In addition, it proved that the seat thermal comfort evaluation system satisfying the sensitivity from the physical property is valid.

      • A Study on Development of Anti-Gravity Mode Car Seat

        As emotion and sensibility field is emerging, automotive technology is also being adopted. Emotion and sensibility is a complex emotion based on multiple interdisciplinary, the role and scope of sensitivity technology is gradually spreading not only as human psychological factors but also ergonomic factors become important. It has no exception in the automobile industry. Among them, as automotive seat is the part in direct contact with the human beings, that is the greatest effecting factor on sensibility technology and ride comfort of the passengers. Therefore, it needs to reflect the ergonomic design, likewise, it should be a fusion of techniques to improve comfort as well as to make feeling less fatigue for long distance travel. In this research, we developed an anti-gravity mode seat focusing on passenger comfort. Then, the comfort in the anti-gravity mode was qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated. Subjective satisfaction was carried out as qualitative evaluation, physiological data (body pressure analysis, EEG, ECG, skin temperature) as qualitative evaluation was measured. As a result, the subjective satisfaction level was improved in the anti gravity mode, the body pressure was evenly dispersed, and the comfort level of EEG and ECG was improved. Therefore, these results presented a new paradigm of the comfort mode of the car seat.

      • Adaptive Driving Assistant System for Elderly Driver Considering Individual Characteristics

        According to a current report on accident investigations, many accidents at non-signal intersection have occurred by elderly drivers. To reduce such accidents involving elderly drivers, it is necessary to design an appropriate driving support system for elderly drivers. The alarms which inform approach of an intersection is effective, but the uniform alarm system cannot expect an effect to elderly drivers because of their individualities. The characteristics test was conducted about elderly driver`s recognition and judgment ability, and questionnaire survey of individual difference of driving style. Next, an audio-visual stimulus system that consisted of various combinations of information and following alarm presentation methods using image, beep sound, or voice was constructed based on the braking timing and the behavior of elderly drivers. Using the driving simulator supposing a city road, the driving behavior was analyzed and the acceptability for the alarm was investigated for the elderly drivers. As a result, it was observed that the individual adaptable assistance system was more effective despite of the elderly driver`s wide individual difference in driving style as well as the cognition and judgment ability.

      • Study of Adaptive Assisting Effect of Auditory-visual Alert for Elderly Drivers using Physiological Signals

        A major cause of traffic accidents has been found in the human factors involved in driver's awareness during driving, and the effect of alarm was reported as the increase of awareness and the improving effect for property of perception, cognition and judgment of the driver. The arousal stimulus for driver by auditory-visual alert also affects to the physiological condition and the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Recent developments in multi near-infrared spectroscopy (MNIRS) have enabled the arousal level apparent with brain activity by measurement of hemoglobin concentrations as cerebral blood volume, as well as the ordinary biological signals like heart beats, finger plethysmogram and pulsation waves. In this study, the three kinds of auditory alert as pre-information, sound alert and voice guidance were used for adaptive assisting systems for the elderly driver and the influence of these alerts on the driver's psychosomatic state was examined using driving simulator for 30 minutes driving. Experiment was conducted with the subjects in a driving position as they were partially awakened by auditory-visual alert, repeatedly and measured their biological properties. As the results, after taking the effects of the adaptive assisting alert systems, the effect of arousal and awareness improvement was recognized in the subjects and the activation of cerebral blood volume was observed according to the amount of the stimulus and combination of awareness modal as auditory alert system.

        Discovery of New Benzothiazole-Based Inhibitors of Breakpoint Cluster Region-Abelson Kinase Including the T315I Mutant

        <P>The existence of drug resistance caused by mutations in the break-point cluster region-Abelson tyrosine kinase (Bcr-Abl) kinase domain remains a clinical challenge due to limited effective treatment options for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Herein we report a novel series of benzothiazole-based inhibitors that are effective against wild-type and T315I mutant Bcr-Abl kinases. The original hit compound, nocodazole, was extensively modified through a structure-based drug design strategy, especially by varying the groups at the C2 and C6 positions of the scaffold. In addition, the introduction of water-solubilizing groups at the terminal ethyl group resulted in enhanced physicochemical properties and potency in cellular inhibition.         전봉건 『춘향연가』에 나타난 의인화personification 연구

        전봉건의 『춘향연가』는 〈춘향전〉의 서사를 떠올리게 하는, 우리 현대시에서 長詩의 가능성을 보여주는 작품으로 논의되고 있다. 지금까지 에로티시즘ㆍ환상성ㆍ이미지 등의 다양한 각도에서 텍스트를 독해해왔지만, 이 모든 논의들은 〈춘향전〉의 서사를 바탕으로 구성된 ‘춘향’을 전봉건의 『춘향연가』에서 어떻게 구성하고 있는지에 대한 문제로 귀결시켰다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 이는 전봉건의 『춘향연가』에 드러나는 다양한 언술 주체로서의 ‘춘향’을 단순화시켜 의미를 축소한다는 점에서 온당한 평가를 하기에는 부족하다고 보인다. 그러므로 본고는 『춘향연가』라는 하나의 텍스트에 다양한 언술이 분포되어 있는 부분을 의인화 양상으로 분석해 봄으로써 ‘춘향’의 변주된 주체들이 어떤 의식을 지향하고 있는지 확인해 보려고 한다. 이는 ‘춘향’이라는 하나의 의인화 personification 형상이 있는 것처럼 표면화되면서, 동시에 파편화된 다중의 목소리가 발화되고 있는 텍스트의 특성을 이해하는 기본적인 작업을 수행하는 것이다. 이런 특성은 전봉건의 『춘향연가』가 〈춘향전〉의 서사에 기대어 ‘춘향’이라는 인물을 일차 의인화 비유personification figure로 구성해냈음과 동시에 텍스트가 진행될수록 언술 주체가 자신을 지시하는 모습을 다양하게 나타내어 이차 의인화로 확장시키는 의인화 캐릭터personification character를 생성 했음을 확인하는 것으로 가능하다. 이는 ‘춘향’이라는 인물의 등장으로 기대하게 되는 서사의 재현 지점에서 〈춘향전〉의 ‘춘향’의 이미지를 배반하는 모습으로 시작된다. 즉 새로운 ‘춘향’이의 생성을 확인시켜 줌으로써 ‘춘향’의 의미를 새롭게 구축한다는 것이다. 이는 전봉건의 ‘춘향’이 ‘나’를 언술 주체로 삼으며 내가 꿈꾸는 것이 무엇인지 이야기함으로써 서사적 인물의 ‘춘향’이에 갇혀 있지 않음을 보여준다. 또한 스스로를 새롭게 탄생하는 존재로 부각시키며 ‘춘향’이 결정불능의 인물이며 끊임없이 재생산되는 여성임을 확인시켜준다. 이러한 결정불능의 인물인 춘향이 ‘이도령’과 ‘변학도’의 언술까지 구성해냄으로써 ‘춘향이의 사랑’이 이항대립적인 관계 안에서만 의미를 가질 수 있었다는 것을 지적하고, 이를 벗어나기 위해서는 새로운 관계 정립이 필요함을 보여준다. 이렇게 『춘향연가』에 나타나는 의인화 양상을 살펴보는 것을 통해서, 전봉건의 ‘춘향’은 타인의 욕망에 종속되지 않는, 향유의 주체임을 확인할 수 있게 된다. 이는 ‘사랑’을 성취하는 주체로서의 ‘춘향’의 모습이며, 새로운 여성의 탄생을 보여주는 부분이라 할 수 있겠다. 또한 이는 고정된 현실을 새롭게 재구성하고자 했던 전봉건의 시도로 읽을 수 있다. Jeon Bonggeon’s “Chunhyang Yeonga” recalls the story of “Chunhyang” and is commonly cross lips as having good influence on modern Longpoetry. Jeon Bonggeon’s “Chunhyang Yeonga” has been read through various perspectives such as eroticism, fantasy and image. “Chunhyang” of the thesis which has been written based on these perspectives is constituted by story of “Chunhyang” and shows how to constitute herself in “Chunhyang Yeonga”. However, in these contexts, it seems this construct is not enough to express the various perspectives of subject of speak, “Chunhyang”. This paper analyzes the personification of “Chunhyang”, which is appeared through different subjects of speak in Jeon Bonggeon’s “Chunhyang Yeonga”. Different subjects of “Chunhyang” open the new ways to understand the text. In the first stage, “Chunhyang” is just a personification figure at appearance. At the same time, in the second stage, different voices of “Chunhyang” are found in text. This is only possible when “personification figure” extends toward “personification character” based on the narrative poetry. In these second stage, “Chunhyang” reproduced “Chunhyang” as a “per sonification character” and the original image of Chunhyang was distorted by her “personification character”. New “Chunhyang”, which is made of by the text, becomes a new characteristics of new stories. New “Chunhyang” gives self-reproduction and keeps producing the “Chunhyang”’s new characteristics in new stories. By then, it’s not able to define who “Chunhyang” is. She may represent voices of “Lee Do-Rung” or “Byun Hak Do”. Original Chunhyang’s love was only meaningful either for “Lee Do-Rung” or “Byun Hak Do”. However new “Chunhyang”, second personification, is to break the narrative bound and needs new relationships. In conclusion, through the aspect of personification in Jeon Bonggeon’s “Chunhyang Yeonga”, it is found that “Chunhyang” of Jeon Bonggeon is the subject of Jouissance. Moreover she is not any more under the influence of Others’ desire. Through the “Chunhyang Yeonga”, she becomes a subject who achieves her love and shows the new women’s characteristics.
