Analysis of Requirements for New Aids-to-Navigation Service: Focusing on Ship Operator
Sangwon Park(Sangwon Park),Min-Ji Jeong(Min-Ji Jeong),Yunja Yoo(Yunja Yoo) 한국항해항만학회 2022 한국항해항만학회지 Vol.46 No.5
With digitalization accelerated by the 4th industrial revolution, the marine traffic environment is also expected to change rapidly. The purpose of this study was to derive a new service for Aids to Navigation (AtoN) to respond to a new marine traffic environment and suggest service requirements from the perspective of the ship’s operator. For this purpose, a survey of ship operators was conducted and IPA analysis was performed. Marine traffic intelligence and information services and Image-based ocean environment information services were deduced as high-priority services from the perspective of ship operators. Thus, the derived results can serve as basic data for developing new AtoN services and determining policy directions.

<P>An extraction technique for subgap density of states (DOS) in an n-channel amorphous InGaZnO thin-film transistor (TFT) by using multifrequency capacitance-voltage (<I>C</I> -<I>V</I>) characteristics is proposed and verified by comparing the measured <I>I</I>- <I>V</I> characteristics with the technology computer-aided design simulation results incorporating the extracted DOS as parameters. It takes on the superposition of exponential tail states and exponential deep states with characteristic parameters for <I>N</I> TA = 1.1 × 1017 cm-3 · eV-1, <I>N</I> DA = 4 × 1015 cm-3 · eV-1, <I>kT</I> TA = 0.09 eV, and <I>kT</I> DA = 0.4 eV. The proposed technique allows obtaining the frequency-independent <I>C</I>-<I>V</I> curve, which is very useful for oxide semiconductor TFT modeling and characterization, and considers the nonlinear relation between the energy level of DOS and the gate voltage <I>V</I> GS. In addition, it is a simple, fast, and accurate extraction method for DOS in amorphous InGaZnO TFTs without optical illumination, temperature dependence, and numerical iteration.</P>

The semantic web-based social network is highly useful in a variety of areas. In this paper we make diverse analyses of the FOAF-based social network, and propose an expert recommendation system. This system presents useful method of ontology-based social network using SparQL, RDFS inference, and visualization tools. Then we apply it to real social network in order to make various analyses of centrality, small world, scale free, etc. Moreover, our system suggests method for analysis of an expert on specific field. We expect such method to be utilized in multifarious areas - marketing, group administration, knowledge management system, and so on.

<P>The self-consistent technique for extracting density of states [DOS: [Formula]] in an amorphous indium gallium zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistor is proposed and demonstrated. The key parameters are the [Formula] of the a-IGZO active layer and the intrinsic channel mobility [Formula]. While the energy level [Formula] is scanned by the photon energy and gate-to-source voltage [Formula] sweep, its density is extracted from an optical response of capacitance–voltage characteristics. Using the [Formula]-dependent [Formula] as another boundary condition, a linearly mapped DOS assuming a linear relation between [Formula] and [Formula] is translated into a final DOS by fully considering a nonlinear relation between [Formula] and [Formula]. The final DOS is finally extracted and verified by finding the self-consistent solution satisfying both the linearly mapped DOS and the measured [Formula] dependence of [Formula] with the numerical iteration of a DOS-based [Formula] model. The extracted final DOS parameters are [Formula], [Formula], [Formula], [Formula], and [Formula] with the formula of exponential tail states and Gaussian deep states.</P>
Promotion and Work Incentive for a Future Job
( Sangwon Park ) 한국경제학회 2016 The Korean Economic Review Vol.32 No.2
We presented a simple model in which agents could determine effort level with the prospect of promotion. Even without any increase of payment or fringe benefits, promotion could provide an incentive for hard work because it could be a signal of one`s ability and the possibility of a better job offer in one`s future career. Outside firms that cannot observe the agents` current performance use promotion status in order to predict the agents` ability. We point out that some of the results of the standard career concerns model do not hold here. Because promotion is a binary decision, extra effort becomes effective only when the promotion has not been made without it. This shows that the dispersion of an agent`s ability and noise as well as well-known signal-to-noise ratio play important roles in promotion.
Effect of Heat Treatment on Phase Transition of Nanotubular Titanium Oxide Arrays
Park, Sangwon,Min, Dongryoul,Lim, Hyunpil,Yoon, Dongjoo,Lee, Kwangmin American Scientific Publishers 2011 Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Vol.11 No.2
<P>The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of heat treatment on the cystallinity of titanium nanotubes. The titanium nanotubes had diameters ranging from 90-95 nm, lengths between 400-500 nm, and thicknesses of 11 nm. After heat treatment at high temperatures, the diameter and length of the nanotubes decreased, whereas the thickness increased. The titanium nanotubes exhibited amorphous + anatase phases at 300 degrees C, anatase + rutile phases at 500 degrees C and a rutile phase at 800 degrees C.</P>
Single-Molecule Rotation for EGFR Conformational Dynamics in Live Cells
Park, Youngchan,Shin, Sangwon,Jin, Hyeonggyu,Park, Jiseong,Hong, Yeonki,Choi, Jaemin,Jung, Byunghyuck,Song, Hyunjoon,Seo, Daeha American Chemical Society 2018 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY - Vol.140 No.45
<P>Monitoring the dynamics of proteins in live cells on appropriate spatiotemporal scales may provide key information regarding long-standing questions in molecular and cellular regulatory mechanisms. However, tools capable of imaging the conformational changes over time have been elusive. Here, we present a single-molecule stroboscopic imaging probes by developing gyroscopic plasmonic nanoparticles, allowing for replication of protein-protein interactions and the conformational dynamics based on rotational and lateral velocities. This study fundamentally monitors the rotational motion of a membrane protein, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), to decipher undiscovered structural dynamics in live cells without any molecular perturbations. This method offers a strategy to visualize assemblies and conformational changes, and provides unique insights into the mechanism underlying the molecular dynamics for receptors.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
