On subclasses of functions with boundary and radius rotations associated with crescent domains
Saliu Afis,KHALIDA INAYAT NOOR 대한수학회 2020 대한수학회보 Vol.57 No.6
The present work is aimed at presenting some characteristic properties of functions that map open unit disk onto a lune in the right half plane. Furthermore, we introduce subclasses of functions with boundary and radius rotations which are related to crescent regions. Some useful results, which include coefficient inequalities and some subordination properties associated with these subclasses are derived. Consequently, related problems concerning these classes are also studied.
Predictor Variables’ Influence on Classification Outcome in Insurance Fraud Detection
Saliu Adam Muhammad,Xiangtao Chen,Liao Bo 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.8 No.5
In fraud detection paradigms, the role of predictor variables cannot be overemphasized particularly when analytical tools – such as statistical, machine learning and artificial intelligent tools are employed. These variables or attributes are used to organize records of data in database tables. The combination of the values of these attributes usually affects which class of a target variable a record or an observation would belong. In this paper, we propose an algorithm and employ spreadsheet ‘count’ ‘count if’ and ‘filtering’ functionalities (techniques) to take toll on how the individual attribute may affect the prediction of the class of an observation in an insurance dataset of 5000 observations. The analysis showed that indeed, the individual predictor attribute affects the outcome of the target variable (legal or fraudulent) differently.

In this present work, we inaugurated subclasses of analytic functions which are associated with generalized Mittag Leffler Functions. Inclusion implications and integral preserving properties under the Bernardi integral operator are investigated. Some consequences of these findings are also illustrated.

This study determined the relationship between students’ computer hardware skills in the use of electronic information resources in University libraries in South-West, Nigeria. This study adopted a correlation research design involving simple and multiple linear methods. The population of this study is 85,526. The sample for the study was 398. Proportionate sampling techniques were used to draw the sample. The findings revealed that there is a moderate positive and significant relationship between the students’ computer hardware skills and their use of EIR in university libraries. Also, there is a moderate positive and significant relationship between the students’ computer software skills and their use of EIR in university libraries in South-West, Nigeria; and there is a high and significant relationship among students’ computer hardware skills, computer software skill and their use of electronic information resources in the university library in South-West, Nigeria. Based on the above findings, the study recommended among others that undergraduate students should enhance their computer hardware skills since it is related to the use of electronic information resources in the universities. Research implications were also offered.
PROPERTIES OF FUNCTIONS WITH BOUNDED ROTATION ASSOCIATED WITH LIMAÇON CLASS
Jabeen, Kanwal,Saliu, Afis Korean Mathematical Society 2022 대한수학회논문집 Vol.37 No.4
In this article, we initiate subclasses of functions with boundary and radius rotations that are related to limaçon domains and examine some of their geometric properties. Radius results associated with functions in these classes and their linear combination are studied. Furthermore, the growth rate of coefficients, arc length and coefficient estimates are derived for these novel classes. Overall, some useful consequences of our findings are also illustrated.

Bisphenol A is a chemical used primarily as a monomer in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. It is a synthetic chemical compound that is produced in billions of pounds annually, and tagged as an endocrine disruptor. Bisphenol A is a high production synthetic chemical compound that is used in the production of many consumables and equipments of daily consumption and use by man. Growing interest in possible health threats posed by endocrine disrupting chemicals (bisphenol-A inclusive), as these substances are in our environment, food, and many consumer products. Therefore, this study aims to determine bisphenol-A effects on the hypothalamo-pituitary-ovarian axis, and role of melatonin in this regard. Forty-two Wistar rats were bred, grouped into 7, with each group consisting of 6 rats. Experimental groups were administered low and high doses of bisphenol-A and melatonin, starting from day 19, and was continued for 7 weeks orally. They were left to develop into full adults and were sacrificed on day 120±4 days. Blood samples, hypothalamus, pituitary and ovarian tissues were excised for biochemical and tissue antioxidants assays as well as genetic studies. Results show elevated gonadotropin and androgen levels. There was disruption of reactive oxygen species in the ovarian tissues, as well as alterations in the expression of genes that regulate reproduction at the hypothalamus and pituitary levels. Conclusion of early exposure to bisphenol-A is associated with prolonged duration of disruption of reproductive functions in female Wistar rats, which persist long after cessation of the exposure. Melatonin antioxidant effects give some promising outturns against bisphenol-A induced toxicities.
Tramadol hydrochloride delivery by regenerated cellulose nanofiber-TiO2-ZnO composites
Gabriel Ademola Olatunji,Adeola Tawakalt Kola-Mustapha,Oluwaseyi Damilare Saliu,Aderemi Babatunde Alabi,Oluwafemi Idowu Abiodun,Nike Olatayo Obisesan 한국화학공학회 2018 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.35 No.3
The present work focuses on the development and investigation of new composite materials based on regenerated nanocellulose, titanium oxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO) with potentials for drug delivery applications. The new composite was developed using dispersion method. The physicochemical properties of the composites were extensively evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), particle size analyzer and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The presence of O-H, C-H, C-O-C, Ti-O, Zn-O stretch and bend was confirmed using the FTIR, while the SEM revealed the TiO2 and ZnO immobilized on the surface of stiff and rod-like strands of regenerated nanocellulose. The XRD showed characteristic peaks at 2θ of 16.6o, 22.7o, 34.4o for nanocellulose, 17.5o, 24.5o, 32o for ZnO and 25.4o, 38o, 48.3o, 53.8o for TiO2. As the amount of the metal oxides in the composite increased, notable increase in physicochemical properties and morphology for drug delivery purpose was observed. The cumulative drug release profiles of the regenerated nanocellulose composites on tramadol hydrochloride were subjected to zero order, first-order, Higuchi and Korsmeyer-Peppas plots, and fitted most for Korsmeyer-Peppas with R2 and n value from 0.9831 to 0.9941 and 0.4188 to 0.9704, respectively.
