Spinel ferrites having compositions Zn_0.5Li_(1-2x)Mg_xFe_2O_4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.5) have been prepared by sol-gel auto combustion technique. The dielectric properties of these ferrites have been studied using impedance measurements in the frequency range 10 Hz―10 MHz and in the temperature range 310―473 K. The effect of temperature, frequency and composition on dielectric constant (ε´), dielectric loss (tanδ) and conductivity (σ) have been discussed in terms of hopping of charge carriers (Fe^2+↔Fe^3+). The occurrence of peak in the dielectric loss (tanδ) spectra is found to be temperature and composition dependent. The electrical modulus formulism has also been employed to study the relaxation dynamics of charge carriers and the results indicate the presence of non-Debye type of relaxation in these ferrites. Identical values of activation energy for dc conduction (E_dc) and for conductivity relaxation (E_M˝) reveal that the charge carriers have to overcome the same energy barrier while conducting and relaxing. A single ‘master curve’for normalized plots of all the modulus isotherms observed for a given composition indicates the temperature independence of dynamical process for charge carriers in the present ferrites. The absence of hysteresis and non-attainment of saturation magnetization (even at 8 kOe) suggests the super paramagnetic behaviour of these ferrites.
Machinability Analysis of Heat Treated Ti64, Ti54M and Ti10.2.3 Titanium Alloys

In this research, machinability of the heat treated α/β (Ti64 and Ti54M) and metastable β (Ti10.2.3) titanium alloys is investigated experimentally. Forces and temperature i.e. life of the cutting tool mainly influenced by variation in cutting speed and feed rate,therefore, the depth of cut was maintained constant while cutting speed and feed were varied. Heat treatment was found to have influence on the machinability of the analyzed alloys. The annealed and solution treated plus over aged samples of the Ti10.2.3 alloy,showed comparatively higher cutting tool temperature and higher cutting forces. This work confirmed the poorer machinability of the Ti10.2.3 alloy than the Ti64 and Ti54M alloys in different heat treatment conditions and this is due to the presence of higher content of β stabilizer elements (V and Fe). It is concluded that the proper heat treatment planning results in better machining performance of the titanium alloys.

In this paper we presented an architecture and basic learning process underlying in fuzzy inference system and adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system which is a hybrid network implemented in framework of adaptive network. In real world computing environment, soft computing techniques including neural network, fuzzy logic algorithms have been widely used to derive an actual decision using given input or output data attributes, ANFIS can construct mapping based on both human knowledge and hybrid learning algorithms. This study involves study of ANFIS strategy ANFIS strategy is employed to model nonlinear functions, to control one of the most important parameters of the induction machine and predict a chaotic time series, all yielding more effective, faster response or settling times.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Global warming is predicted to increase water scarcity in many drylands worldwide. In Central Asia, one of the most intensively irrigated dryland agricultural regions, climate change is likely to exacerbate the regional water supply–demand gaps, particularly in downstream areas. The withdrawal of degraded, highly salinized croplands from irrigated farming in favor of tree plantations that effectively utilize saline groundwater may contribute to irrigation water saving, which can generate valuable ecosystem services and provide rural income opportunities. To facilitate the spatial planning of afforestation in the lower Amudarya region, we developed a hydrological algorithm to map the spatio-temporal pattern of water supply–demand. The resulting map, based on seven-year continuous data of cropping pattern and corresponding irrigation dynamics, rainfall, and evapotranspiration at 250 m resolution, revealed the overly irrigated areas from which excess water can be redistributed to water-stressed areas. Furthermore, combining this information with spatial data on marginally productive croplands and with water requirement of tree plantations showed that 67% of these croplands are characterized by water availability sufficient for the introduction of salt-tolerant tree species. The algorithm developed is of potential use for defining the feasibility of introducing alternative (tree) crops with known growth and water use characteristics.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Remote sensing aided a water balance estimation in data-scarce irrigated drylands. </LI> <LI> Spatio-temporal dynamics of surface water is key for dryland afforestation planning. </LI> <LI> Cell-based hydrological algorithm offers spatial guidance for regional afforestation. </LI> <LI> Over 60% of marginal cropland receives enough water for conversion to agroforestry. </LI> </UL> </P>
Generalized Superimposed Training for RIS-aided Cell-free Massive MIMO-OFDM Networks

In this paper, a generalized superimposed training (GST) is proposed for an uplink cell-free multiple-input multiple- output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (mMIMO- OFDM) system, which is aided by reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) to enhance the spectral efficiency in the system. For the GST scheme, the pilots and data symbols are transmitted simultaneously in the coherence time. This scheme is different from traditional separate transmission methods, such as regular pilots (RP) transmission. In the OFDM multi-carrier case, a part of the subcarriers is based on the GST, whereas the other part of subcarriers is used for data transmission only. The channel and data estimations are carried out and the normalized mean- squared error (NMSE), bit error rate (BER), and sum-rate in different schemes are compared. Different receiver cooperation levels are analyzed in this case, including fully centralized processing and local processing. The distributed time processing and iterative process are also used to improve the performance of the data estimation in this system.
