        Shan He(Shan He),Lili Yao(Lili Yao),Xingyu Zhao(Xingyu Zhao),Weiwei Liu(Weiwei Liu) 아시아사회과학학회 2023 International Science Research Vol.3 No.2

Objective To measure residents’ abilities to acquire, analyze and evaluate information on media in southwestern China and to explore its predictive factors. Methods The convenience sampling method was used. A web-based questionnaire survey was conducted among 774 residents during the Spring Festival in 2020. Results Young, highly educated, unmarried, high-income, and urban residents preferred to seek and acquire information about COVID-19 epidemic through new media channels. Elderly residents tended to obtain information through television. Residents with low educational background and rural residents were more dependent on community information media. To analyze residents’ abilities in the judgement of 15 statements about COVID-19, residents with a master’s degree or above (OR = 2.755, [95% CI 1.160-6.542]) had better media literacy in identifying false health information released on social networking. Rural residents (OR = 0.609, [95% CI 0.433-0.855]) had lower media literacy. The total score decreased by 2.6% for every one-year increase of age. Conclusion Residents’ abilities to acquire, analyze and evaluate information were affected by their demographic characteristics in southwestern China. The authorities and local communities should develop different approaches of information dissemination, with the help of traditional and new media. It is important to improve the level of residents' media literacy, in order to achieve better effect in information dissemination and reception.

Investigation of aerosol resuspension model based on random contact with rough surface

        He Liwen,Tong Lili,Cao Xuewu 한국원자력학회 2023 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.55 No.3

Under nuclear reactor severe accidents, the resuspension of radioactive aerosol may occur in the containment due to the disturbing airflow generated by hydrogen combustion, hydrogen explosion and containment depressurization resulting in the increase of radioactive source term in the containment. In this paper, for containment conditions, by considering the contact between particle and rough deposition surface, the distribution of the distance between two contact points of particle and deposition surface, rolling and lifting separation mechanism, resuspension model based on random contact with rough surface (RRCR) is established. Subsequently, the detailed torque and force analysis is carried out, which indicates that particles are more easily resuspended by rolling under low disturbing airflow velocity. The simulation result is compared with the experimental result and the prediction of different simulation methods, the RRCR model shows equivalent and better predictive ability, which can be applicable for simulation of aerosol resuspension in containment during severe accident

Wind characteristics of a strong typhoon in marine surface boundary layer

        Lili Song,Q. S. Li,Wenchao Chen,Peng Qin,Haohui Huang,Y.C. He 한국풍공학회 2012 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.15 No.1

High-resolution wind data were acquired from a 100-m high offshore tower during the passage of Typhoon Hagupit in September, 2008. The meteorological tower was equipped with an ultrasonic anemometer and a number of cup anemometers at heights between 10 and 100 m. Wind characteristics of the strong typhoon, such as mean wind speed and wind direction, turbulence intensity, turbulence integral length scale, gust factor and power spectra of wind velocity, vertical profiles of mean wind speed were investigated in detail based on the wind data recorded during the strong typhoon. The measured results revealed that the wind characteristics in different stages during the typhoon varied remarkably. Through comparison with non-typhoon wind measurements, the phenomena of enhanced levels of turbulence intensity, gust factors, turbulence integral length scale and spectral magnitudes in typhoon boundary layer were observed. The monitored data and analysis results are expected to be useful for the wind-resistant design of offshore structures and buildings on seashores in typhoon-prone regions.

      • Anchoring effect of Ni2+ in stabilizing reduced metallic particles for growing single-walled carbon nanotubes

        He, Maoshuai,Wang, Xiao,Zhang, Lili,Wu, Qianru,Song, Xiaojie,Chernov, Alexander I.,Fedotov, Pavel V.,Obraztsova, Elena D.,Sainio, Jani,Jiang, Hua,Cui, Hongzhi,Ding, Feng,Kauppinen, Esko Elsevier 2018 Carbon Vol.128 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The suitability of the NiMgO catalyst as a catalyst in chiral-selective growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) by chemical vapor deposition has been assessed. It reveals that catalyst calcination temperature plays an important role in affecting the catalyst performances. Using CO as the carbon precursor and a chemical vapor deposition reaction temperature of 600 °C, NiMgO pre-calcined at 600 °C demonstrates the best performances in catalyzing the growth of SWNTs with predominant (6, 5) species. Systematic characterizations on catalysts calcinated at different temperatures indicate that Ni2+ ions diffuse towards the interior of MgO matrix upon annealing. DFT-based calculations reveal that the binding energy between Ni2+ and adjacent Ni(0) is larger than that between Mg2+ and Ni (0), while Ni2+ situated deep inside MgO has weak interactions with surface Ni atoms. This work highlights the importance of subsurface Ni2+ in anchoring reduced surface Ni atom, which inhibits the aggregation of Ni particles and therefore, facilitates the growth of SWNTs with a narrow chirality distribution.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>A Ni-incorporated MgO catalyst was developed for predominant synthesis of (6, 5) single walled carbon nanotubes. Jinmei He,Yi Zhang,Yichen Zhou,Jiaxin Wang,Yu Zhao,Lili Ma,Ansar Abbas,Mengnan Qu 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.5

In recent years, the superhydrophobic fabrics with specific wetting property had attracted extensive attention of theresearcher and industry for their extraordinary performance. In this report, a robust superhydrophobic fabric with oil/waterseparation property and load carrying capacity had been successfully prepared by introducing the modified magnesium oxide(MgO) and aluminate. It has proved that the modified fabric has excellent stability through tape peeling test, folding test, washing experiment and pH test. In particular, the fabric weight of 200 g could be moved by 22 m on 600 # sandpaperwithout losing superhydrophobic property. Besides, the fabric can separate oil and water from different oil-water mixtureswith a separation efficiency of over 90 %, using superhydrophilic-superoleophobic properties. Otherwise, it is 66.8 N/m2 thatloadable pressure of the fabric in water. The superhydrophobic fabric has tremendously wide applications in the field of oilcontainingwastewater and diving equipment.

Seroprevalence of Dirofilaria immitis in Cats from Liaoning Province, Northeastern China

        Honglie Hou,Lili Cao,Wenzhi Ren,Dansheng Wang,He Ding,Juan You,Xinhua Yao,Hang Dong,Yanbing Guo,Shuxian Yuan,Xi-Chen Zhang,Pengtao Gong 대한기생충학ㆍ열대의학회 2017 The Korean Journal of Parasitology Vol.55 No.6

The present study was performed to investigate the seroprevalence and risk factors for Dirofilaria immitis infection in cats from Liaoning province, northeastern China. From October 2014 to September 2016, sera of 651 cats, including 364 domestic cats and 287 feral cats (332 females and 319 males) were assessed. They were tested for the presence of D. immitis antigen using SNAP Heartworm RT test kit. In this population, the average prevalence was 4.5%. Age and rearing conditions (feral or domestic) were found to be associated with the prevalence of D. immitis. The prevalence was significantly higher in feral cats compared with domestic cats (8.4% vs 1.4%, P<0.01). There was no significant difference between males and females (4.7% vs 4.2%, P>0.05), but older cats (≥3 years old) showed a statistically higher prevalence compared with younger cats (<3 years old) in feral populations (16.8 vs 2.4%, P<0.01), while the difference between the age groups was not statistically significant in domestic cats (2.4% vs 0.51%, P>0.05), all these results suggest that outdoor exposure time may be one of the most important factors for D. immitis prevalence in cats. Results reveal that D. immitis are prevalence in domestic and feral cats in northeastern China, which indicates that appropriate preventive measures should be taken to decrease the incidence of feline heartworm disease in Liaoning province, northeastern China.

Choice of Capecitabine or S1 in Combination with Oxaliplatin based on Thymidine Phosphorylase and Dihydropyrimidine Dehydrogenase Expression Status in Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer

        Xu, Rong,He, Xiaolei,Wufuli, Reyina,Su, Ying,Ma, Lili,Chen, Ru,Han, Zhongcheng,Wang, Fang,Liu, Jiang The Korean Gastric Cancer Association 2019 Journal of gastric cancer Vol.19 No.4

Purpose: To study the efficacy of capecitabine or S-1 plus oxaliplatin (CAPOX or SOX) for treating thymidine phosphorylase (TP)- or dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD)-positive advanced gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: Eighty-six patients with stage IIIC to IV gastric cancer were assessed for TP and DPD expression by immunohistochemistry. The association between CAPOX or SOX efficacy and TP/DPD expression was retrospectively analyzed. Results: There were no significant differences in the objective remission rate (ORR, 52.27% vs. 47.62%; P>0.05), disease control rate (72.73% vs. 73.81%, P>0.05), progression-free survival (hazard ratio [HR], 1.119; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.739-1.741; P=0.586), and overall survival (OS; HR, 0.855; 95% CI, 0.481-1.511; P=0.588) between CAPOX and SOX. A higher number of stage IV patients showed TP positivity, while DPD-positive patients predominantly showed intestinal type of gastric cancer. In TP-positive patients, the ORRs associated with CAPOX and SOX treatments were 57.14% and 38.10%, respectively; OS was better with CAPOX than with SOX (HR, 0.447; 95% CI, 0.179-0.978; P=0.046). Among DPD-positive patients, the SOX treatment-associated ORR (60.87%) was significantly higher than the CAPOX treatment-associated ORR (43.48%). Furthermore, SOX treatment resulted in better OS than did CAPOX treatment (HR, 2.020; 95% CI, 1.019-4.837; P=0.049). Conclusions: No significant difference in clinical efficacy was found between CAPOX and SOX. TP-positive patients might respond better to CAPOX while DPD-positive patients may respond better to SOX. Our findings might serve as a guide for personalized chemotherapy for gastric cancer.

Generation of Newly Discovered Resistance Gene mcr-1 Knockout in Escherichia coli Using the CRISPR/Cas9 System

( Lichang Sun ),( Tao He ),( Lili Zhang ),( Maoda Pang ),( Qiaoyan Zhang ),( Yan Zhou ),( Hongduo Bao ),( Ran Wang ) 한국미생물생명공학회(구 한국산업미생물학회) 2017 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.27 No.7

The mcr-1 gene is a new “superbug” gene discoverd in China in 2016 that makes bacteria highly resistant to the last-resort class of antibiotics. The mcr-1 gene raised serious concern about its possible global dissemination and spread. Here, we report a potential anti-resistant strategy using the CRISPR/Cas9-mediated approach that can efficiently induce mcr-1 gene knockout in Escherichia coli. Our findings suggested that using the CRISPR/Cas9 system to knock out the resistance gene mcr-1 might be a potential anti-resistant strategy. Bovine myeloid antimicrobial peptide-27 could help deliver plasmid pCas::mcr targeting specific DNA sequences of the mcr-1 gene into microbial populations.

pH-Responsive Multifunctional Materials with Switchable Superamphiphobicity and Superoleophobicity-Superhydrophilicity for Controllable Oil/Water Separation

        Mengnan Qu,Yichen Zhou,Lili Ma,Yi Zhang,Jiaxin Wang,Shanxin Xiong,Lihua Shen,Jinmei He 한국섬유공학회 2021 Fibers and polymers Vol.22 No.3

Stimulus-responsive materials with controllable oil/water separation performance have prodigious potentialapplication. Here, a new thought for low-cost, time-saving, flexible approach has been developed to prepare a pH-responsivematerial with switchable superamphiphobicity and superoleophobicity-superhydrophilicity. The as-prepared material can beeasily applied onto multifarious substrates and presents stable superamphiphobicity. However, when the modified material istreated by alkaline solution, its surface wettability turns superhydrophilicity and superoleophobicity, thus water is allowed topenetrate through the material whereas the oil was blocked on the surface. Moreover, the surface wettability can be recoveredto superamphiphobicity quickly via treating the material with acidic aqueous. Hence, such a controllable water wettabilityand stable oil repellency property endows the as-prepared material with excellent capability to separate water from oil/watermixture. In addition, the pH-responsive materials can maintain switchable wettability after being treated by acid and alkalinumerous cycles. Furthermore, the obtained materials also exhibit excellent recyclable, self-cleaning and flame-resistantperformance, which shows potential applications for smart water-oil separators and fire-shielding protectors.
