      • 韓國産 鳥類의 重金屬 蓄積

        Five different tissues taken from 13 Korean bird species were analyzed for seven heavy metals, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, lead, cadmium and mercury. The main purpose was to make clear the background levels of the metal concentrations. The metal levels were generally low and could be considered as the background levels. But some markedly elevated levels of toxic metals were found in estuarine and urban birds, suggesting that there may be heavily polluted areas in Korea. Furthermore, it was found that the avian feather is useful as an “indicator” tissue for monitoring heavy metal pollution in birds.

      • 무등산의 조류상과 보호대책

        Bird censuses were carried out at Mt. Moodung in Gwangju metropolitan city during four seasons of 1997~1998. A total of 4,809 birds of 79 species was recorded during the census period. The number of species was the most in spring(65 species), and also species diversity was the highest in spring(H'=3.33). In seasonal distribution, the majority(77.2%) of species were residents and summer visitors. The dominant species was Parus major in spring, Hypsipetes amaurotis in summer, Paradoxornis webbiana in autumn and winter. The major nest sites of breeding species were summarized. Based on these results, the measures of protection and management were discussed.

      • 서남해안 간척지 일대 철새 도래현황 및 보호대책

        본 연구는 서해안 간척지의 4개 간척호수에 대하여 1999년 12월부터 2000년 2월까지 월동조류에 대한 센서스를 실시하고 그 결과를 종합 분석하여 철새보호 대책을 논의한 것이다. 조사 기간동안 기록된 종수는 총 81종으로 그 중 수조류가 63.0%로 가장 많았고 최대 개체수는 총 484,428 개체로 그중 수조류가 99.8%를 차지하여 우리나라 전체 월동 수조류의 약 1/3이 이 지역에서 월동하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 우점종은 가창오리, 청둥오리, 흰뺨검둥오리 등이었으며, 종 다양도는 1.16으로 비교적 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 희귀조류는 총 25종이 관찰되었으며, 4개의 간척호수 중 영암호와 고천암호에서 가장 많이 관찰되었다. 수조류와 희귀조류의 분포, 서식지이용, 관찰빈도, 서식방해요인 등과 관련하여 보호대책이 논의되었다. The avifauna of four reservoirs in reclaimed land of southwest coast, Korea, were surveyed during wintering period, Dec. 1999 - Feb. 2000. The aim of this study is to present the current status of wintering birds and to propose the measures for protection. During the census period, a total of 81 species was recorded and the total peak counts of individuals was 484,428. Among them, waterbirds accounted for 63.0% in number of species and 99.8% in number of individuals. This number of waterbirds was eqivalent to one-third of those wintering in Korea. The Dominant species were Anas Formosa, A. platyrhynchos, and A. poecilorhyncha. The index of species diversity was 1.16. Twenty-five rare and endangered species were recorded, and most of them were observed in Yongam and Gochonam reservoirs. In relation to distributions, use of habitats, frequencies of observation and interfering factor of habitats, the measures of waterbirds protection were discussed.

      • 황룡강에 서식하는 어류의 중금속 레벨에 관한 연구

        황룡강에서 서식하는 어류의 중금속 오렴레벨을 알아보기 위하여 1995년 상류와 하류에서 총 15종 47개체의 어류를 채집하여 Pb, Cd, Mn, Cu, Zn, Fe의 6개 원소의 농도를 측정하여 비교ㆍ분석하였다. 원소별 농도는 Fe>Zn>Mn>Cu>Pb>Cd의 순으로 나타났으며 각 원소의 농도레벨은 전반적으로 낮아 Background레벨을 반영하였다. 상류와 하류의 지역간에는 대부분의 원소에서 농도차이는 없었으나 Cd의 경우 상류가 하류보다 2배이상 높게 나타났다. 어류의 식성간에는 오염원소인 Pb과 Cd만 평균농도에서 차이가 있었고 나머지 필수원소들은 모두 차이가 없었다. Pb은 육식성>초식성>잡식성의 순을 나타내었고, Cd는 육식성이 가장 높았고 초식성과 잡식성은 비슷하게 낮았다. 각 어종별 원소농는 세계 각 국에서 설정한 어류에 대한 식품으로서의 최대 허용 레벨을 기준으로 하여 비교ㆍ검토하였다. Analyses of 6 heavy metals in 15 species of freshwater fish from Hwangryong River, 1995, were presented. Heavy metal levels were generally low and within the range of values previously reported from non-polluted regions. A rank of heavy metal level was Fe>Zn>Mn>Cu>PB>Cd. The mean metal levels in upper stream and down stream were not different except Cd level. It is two times higher in upper than in down. Pb and Cd levels of carnivorous fish were significantly higher than those of herbivorous and omnivorous. Some metal levels in fish species were discussed in the view of their consumption by humans.

      • 전라남도 해남군 일대의 산림 조류상

        To elucidate the present forest avifauna of Haenam county, bird censuses were conducted at Mt. Gumgang, Mt. Jujak, and Mt, Dalma from April to July, 2004. A total of 35 bird species was recorded. Among them, 33 species were estimated prospective breeding species. Dominant species in this area were Paradoxornis webbiana, Passer montanus, Hirundo rustica, and Hypsipetes amaurotis. The special protected birds listed by Mnistry of Emviroment were five species: Otus scops, Alcedo atthis, Picus canus, Halcyon pileata and Oriolus chinensis.

      • 영산호에 도래 월동하는 수조류 군집에 관한 연구

        The aim of this study was to investigate the community structure of wintering waterbirds in Yongsan lake, and to compare with previous study conducted in 1986. Waterbirds censuses were taken from February to April 1996 and from October 1996 to April 1997 in Yongsan lake. A total 39 species was observed and the maximum number of individuals per one count was about 24,000 individuals. The most dominant species was Anas platyrhynchos(21.7%), followed by Anser albifrons(7.83%), and then Anser fabalis(7.55%). The order of dominance was similar to previous study, but the number of bird species and individuals were 1.5 times and 4.4 times higher respectively. Geese and ducks amountd to 94.8% of total number of wintering birds. They were composed of dabbling ducks(62.4%), geese(18.5%) and diving ducks(13.9%). Monthly change of waterbirds during the wintering period made a slow ascent from October to Cecember, a rapid ascent from January to March, and then a rapid descent in April. The index of species diversity was lowest in October(0.60) ad was highest in March(2.22). Species diversity of 96/97 wintering period was two times higher than that of 85/86 years.

      • 都市와 農村地域間의 까치 繁殖密度 比較硏究

        This study was made to compare the breeding density of Magpie, Pica pica sericea Gould, between the urban area of Seoul city and the rural area of Kanghwa island during 1984-1985. Data were collected on the numbers of active nests, nest tree measurements and habitat characteristics in relation to the breeding density. The mean active nest density was 4.78 ±0.54 per ㎢ in Seoul city area and 5.19±0.40 in Kanghwa island area, being not statistically significant between the areas. In the urban area of Seoul city the nest density showed a tendancy to decline toward the suburbs, but at the suburbs the mean nest density was 9.22±1.68, being significantly higher than in the other areas. Thirty-six percent of the nests were of Robinia pseudo-acacia which was the most common species in both study areas. Magpies actively selected certain species of tree in which to nest and the tree species preferred were as follows: Populus euramericana, Populus deltoides, Platanus orientalis, Robinia pseudo-acacia, Ginkgo biloba, Zelcova serrata, Fraxinus rhynchophylla and Ailanthus altissima. Apart from preference, the characteristic tree species utilized for nest sites were Robinia pseudo-acacia, Quercus acutissima, Populus euramericana and Platanus orientalis. Factors influencing the breeding density were green-belt area, industrial area and diversity of land use in Seoul city; cultivated area and diversity of tree species on Kanghwa island.

      • 황룡강 하류 조류군집의 계절분포상

        본 연구는 황룡강 하류의 광주광역시 구간에 대하여 조류상의 계절별 분포특성을 파악하고자, 2008년 7월부터 2009년 3월 사이에 계절별로 1회씩 조류센서스를 실시하였다. 센서스 결과, 봄 42종 1,101개체, 여름 36종 953개체, 가을 36종 1,341개체, 겨울 49종 2,984개체로 총 80종 6,379개체가 관찰되었다. 종다양도와 종균등도 지수는 봄(각각 2.81, 0.76)이, 종풍부도 지수는 겨울(6.00)이 가장 높았다. 최우점종은 여름의 참새(Passer montanus; 14.8%)를 제외하면 봄, 가을, 겨울 모두 쇠오리(Anas crecca; 각각 20.5%, 31.6%, 32.0%)가 차지하였다. 분류군별 우점도는 봄과 여름에 산림성 조류(각각 41.6%, 38.7%)가, 가을과 겨울에는 오리류(각각 51.9%, 50.0%)가 가장 높았다. 본 연구는 황룡강이 겨울에는 오리류의 월동지로 이용될 뿐만 아니라 산림조류의 4계절 서식지로도 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 보여주었다. 따라서 향후 황룡강 조류군집의 보전과 관리를 위해 주기적인 모니터링이 요구된다. This study was carried out to understand the seasonal distribution of bird community on the lower of Hwangryong river. Bird censuses were conducted once per season at Gwangju metropolitan city area of Hwangryong river between Jul. 2008 and Mar. 2009. A total of 6,379 birds belonging to 80 species were recorded and categorized based on different seasons, where 1,101(42 spp.) birds in spring, 953(36 spp.) birds in summer, 1,341(36 spp.) birds in fall and 2,984(49 spp.) birds in winter were recorded respectively. The species diversity and evenness were highest in spring while the species richness was highest in winter. The most dominant species was Anas crecca in spring(20.5%), fall(31.6%) and winter(32.0%), and was Passer montanus in summer. The abundance of forest species group was highest in spring(41.6%) and summer(39.7%) while duck species group was highest in fall(51.9%) and winter(50.0%). This study indicated that Hwangryong river is important as wintering ground for ducks and habitat during four seasons for forest birds. Detail study of bird population status with periodic monitoring in Hwangryong river ecosystem is recommended for their conservation and management.

      • 광주광역시 어등산의 산림조류상

        본 연구는 광주광역시에 위치한 어등산 일대의 산림조류상을 파악하기 위하여 2006년 2월부터 11윌 까지 조류센서스를 실시하고, 그 결과를 분석 평가한 것이다. 총 68종 이 기록되었으며, 그 중 여름철새가 27종, 텃새가 26종, 겨울철새가 11종, 나그네새가 4종으로 나타났다. 이 지역의 우점종은 붉은머리오목눈이, 노랑턱멧새, 박새, 불까치, 쑥새, 직박구리, 참새 등으로 나타났다. 법정보호종은 환경부지정 멸종위기 H 급 인 참매 말똥가리 흰목물떼새로 3종 문화재청 지정 천연기념물은 붉은배새매, 새매, 참매, 황조롱이, 소쩍새, 솔부영이로 6종, 총8종이 관찰되었다. Bird censuses were conduct to elucidate the present forest avifauna of Mt. Eodeung from February to November, 2006. A total of 68 bird species was recorded. They were consisted of 27 species of summer visitors, 26 species of residents, 11 species of winter visitors, and 4species of passage migrants. Dominant species were Paradoxomis webb띠nus, Emberiza elegans, Parus major, Cyanopica cyana, Emberiza rustica, Hypsipetes amaurotis, Passer montanus. The legal protected birds listed by Ministry of Environment were 3 species: Accipiter gentilis, Buteo buteo, Charadrius placidus , and listed by Cultural Heritage Administration were 6 species: Accipiter soloensis, A. nisus , A. gentilis, Falco tinnunculus, Otus scops, Ninox scutulata.

      • 전라북도 고창군 일대의 산림조류상

        본 연구는 전라북도 고창군 일대의 산림조류상을 파악하기 위하여 선운산,방장산,문수산을 대상으로 2007년 3월부터 10월까지 조류 센서스를 실시하고,그 결과를 분석 평가한 것이다. 총 62종이 기록되었으며,그 중 54종이 이 지역에서 번식가능 조류로 판정되었다. 이 지역의 우점종은 멧비둘기,직박구리,붉은머리오목눈이,참새,물까치 등으로 나타났다. 환경부 및 문화재청 지정 법적보호종은 붉은배새매,말똥가리,황조롱이,새흘리기,새매,원앙등 6종이 관찰되었다. Bird censuses were conducted to elucidate the present forest avifauna of Gochang county,revolving around Mt. Seonun,Mt. Bangjang, and Mt. Munsu from March to October,2007. A total of 62 bird species was recorded. Among them,54 species were estimated prospective breeding species. Dominant species were Streptopelia orientalis,Hypsipetes amaurotis,Paradoxornis webbianus,Passer montanus and Cyanopica cyana The legal protected birds listed by Ministry of Environment and Cultural Heritage Administration were 6 species: Accipiter soloensis,Buteo buteo,Falco tinnuculus, Falco subbuteo,Accipiter nisus and Aix galericulata.
