This paper is intended to study 〈Jumong Myth〉 which's written by many writers newly. It seems to me that there are characters which are represented images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 in their works. First of all, it seems that they showed aspects of Jumong or Yoohwa as the Hero of the founder or the Hero's supporter of wisdom in their poems 『Dongmaeng』 and 『The Four Pillars and Eight Characters of Go, Ju-mong as the founder of Goguryeo Dongmyeongsungwang』by Seo, Jeong-ju, 『Lady Yoohwa』by Song Su-kwon and 『The sky of Jumong』 by Yoon Keum-cho. Only Seo‘s characters are expressed a destiny and a right but Song and Yoon's are represented the Hero itself in the narrative process through agony of realities. The secondly, it seems that Lee, Kwang-su showed aspects of Jumong as a so n?a husband?a father through the life of the Hero in his work 『Dongmyeongwang of love』. And Song Ha-chun showed aspects of Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 through a woman as a unusual birth of process and preservation of life in his work 『Daughters of Haback』. In conclusion, it seems that their works either poems or novels are represented and recreated various images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉.

Protective Effect of Curcumin and Aqueous Extract of Onchengyeum on CCl_(4)-induced Hepatotoxicity

An aqueous extract of oriental herbal composition named Onchengyeum and curcumin, an antioxidant isolated from turmeric (Curcuma longa Linné) reduced hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_(4)). Improved liver function was observed by measuring the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (CRE), total cholesterol (TCHO), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-CHO), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB) and total bilirubin (BIL) in serum. Hepatic parameters monitored were levels of cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), malondialdehyde (MDA) and content of cytochrome P450 (CYP), level of glutathione (GSH), activities of NADPH-CYP reductase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPx). The histopathological examination showed that the treatment of Onchengyeum and curcumin relieved the ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes which had been generated by CCl_(4). The results suggested that hepatoprotective effects of Onchengyeum and curcumin possibly are due to their promising antioxidative activity.

Iridology, developed more than 100 years ago, is the diagnosis of medical conditions through noting irregularities of the pigmentation in the iris The purpose of this study is to compare interrelation between CVA, hypertension family history and cardio-renal connective tissue in Iris Constitution through iris constitution examination. The subjects consist of 114 patients who were examined in Iris Constitution at Chonju Oriental Medicine Hospital attached to Wonkwang Univ. from September. 1St. 2000 to August. 31th. 2002. 1. In the distribution of Iris Constitution, among of 79cases, There are neurogenic type 13cases, abdominal connective tissue weakness constitution 31 cases, cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution 6 cases, cholesterol 7 cases and others 22 case in control group. 2. There are familial history of CVA and hypertention 32 cases, no familial history of CVA and hypertention1 3 cases, in 35cases of experimental group. These results imply that there is meaningfulness of interrelation between cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution and. CVA, hypertention.

듣기 교육에 대한 일 고찰

This study emphasized the necessity of listening education in Korean education. In 2 chapter, I considered the basic concepts of listening. For examples, I explained the definition of listening,the process of listening, and the types of listening. In 3 chapter Istudied the present condition of listening education in middle and high school. It contained the specific gravity of listening education in the subject of Korean, the goal of listening education. the contents of listening educationithe essence of listening, the principle of listening, the attitude of listening, the practice of listening), the direction of listening, and the evaluation of listening etc. In 4 chapter I announced the findings of questionnaire inquiry on the listening attitude of university students. This inquiry inquired into the wrong listening attitudes of hearers. The dislike attitudes among the listening attitudes are as follows. Firstly, many speakers dislike that the hearer makes irrelevant remarks in the during of speaking, Secondly, many speakers dislike that the hearers stop their saying, Thirdly, many speakers dislike that the hearers don't contact their eyes, Many speakers dislike that the hearers show the negative responses also. We have to renounce these wrong listening habits. In 5 chapter I groped the solutions for renouncing these wrong listening habits and the methods for cultivating the right listening attitudes.

가족 연구에 대한 국내 연구 문헌 분석

This article reviewed and analysed 15 family studies. The following analysis was done : 1) study subjects, 2) data collecting method and analyses, 3) measurement tools, 4) type of research design and theory used. The study subjects were patients with various illness and one or two of family members. The main subjects were mothers. As the data collectiong method, there were questionnaire (9 out of 15 studies), questionnaire and interview (1 out of 15 studies) , interview and observation (4 out of 15 studies), and interview (1 out of 15 studies). The data collecting method was SPSS, using ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation, Frequency, Percentages, Pearson product moment correlation codfficient, Kolmogorov - Sminorov, Mann - Whitney U test, Kruskall - Wallis test, LISREL and SAS. Two studies used grounded theory, and one used phenomenology. The measurement tools used were Family Support, Family Stresss, Family Stress life Events, Social Support, Family Function, Redefinition for Stressful Events, Adoptation, Characteristics of Cancer Child, Family Efficiency, Role Stress, Coping Attitide, Daily Life Activity. Descriptive studies were 6, experimental 2, qualitative 3, retrospective comparative 1, cross - sectional self - report 1, and one study suggested theoretical model and did case study, and the other one study developed tool and then applied it practically. Only three studies based on theoretical frames besides 3 qualitative studies. On the basis of the above findings, the following suggestions are made : 1) Family and family related studies are to be performed more frequently to develop concept and theory fitting our sociocultural background. 2) Studies are to be performed to develop family oriented nursing thoery considering our family culture. 3) Measurement tools should be developd to asses family and family related problem and then to apply those tools pracically.

희망에 대한 개념 조사

This study was to investigate the content and meaning of hope to understand the nature of hope. The subjects of this study were nursing students, and they were to respond the questions about hope. The study results were as follows. 1. What arouse out of respondents' mind were sun, rising sun, possibility, future, dream, desire, wish, purpose, and love when they heard the word 'hope'. 2. When they felt they were in best hopefulness were mainly they accomplished something they worried about or gave up, or something they wanted to, i.e they entered college, things went well, performed their best, etc. 3. What they hoped were to do their best, develop their mind, employ in valuable things, spend their time joyfully and effectively, and they wanted their family to be healthy and happy.

강인성에 관한 조사연구

The purposes of this study were to review literature on hardiness, to examine the effect of hardiness, and to recommend future hardiness research. Hardiness is a construct with wide appeal to nurse researcher. Derived from existential personality theory, the hardiness characteristic has been identified as a personality resource that buffers the negative effect of stress. Hardiness has emerged as a positive mediating variables in an otherwise negative field of stress and illness research. And hardiness has a moderating effect on the relationships between stress and psyhological strain, stress and burnout, and effect on adaptation to actual health problem. Despite similarities in phsiological status, some higher hardy patients with chronic illness consistently function better than others. Higher hardy people displayed higher frustration tolerance, appraised the task as less threatening, and responded to the task with more positive and less negative affect than did low hardy people. Nursing aims to satisfy the client's needs. So nurses have to understand the clients' subjective and perspective view and their behaviors. Theorical and empirical studies of hardiness have made a significant contribution to nursing care. According to this review, it is necessary to do further research to classify the clients by the type and level of hadiness, and to develop the nursing intervention for those classified clients.

管理科學과 컴퓨터의 活用

The purpose of this study is to contribute to the enhancement of scietific administration by improving the ability to use computers in management science and management information system. To this purpose, I will define the scope of management science for public administration, and introduce computer programs for use in managment science. The scope of management science is largely divided into deterministic models, probabilistic(or stochastic)models, and implementation. Deterministic models include linear programming, duality theory and sensitivity analysis, transportation model, assignment model, integer programming, goal programming, nonlinear programming, network models, dynamic programming, and cost-benefit analysis. Probabilistic models consist of decision theory, PERT/CPM, game theory, inventory models, Markov chain model, queuing models, and simulation. There are many computer programs for use in management science, and computer programs that are being mostly used in management science are as follows : MPSX/370, MINOS, SLAM Ⅱ, SAS/0R, QSB, CMMS, STORM, LINDO, GINO/PC, HTPM Ⅱ, SUPER PROJECT PLUS, GPSS, SIMSCRIPT Ⅱ, etc. In conclusion, I think that scientific administration can be accomplished by the enhancement of the ability to use management science models with computers in public administration and management information system.
