Research on damage and identification of mortise-tenon joints stiffness in ancient wooden buildings based on shaking table test

        Jian-yang Xue,Fuyu Bai,Liangjie Qi,Yan Sui,Chaofeng Zhou 국제구조공학회 2018 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.65 No.5

Based on the shaking table tests of a 1:3.52 scale one-bay and one-story ancient wooden structure, a simplified structural mechanics model was established, and the structural state equation and observation equation were deduced. Under the action of seismic waves, the damage rule of initial stiffness and yield stiffness of the joint was obtained. The force hammer percussion test and finite element calculations were carried out, and the structural response was obtained. Considering the 5% noise disturbance in the laboratory environment, the stiffness parameters of the mortise-tenon joint were identified by the partial least squares of singular value decomposition (PLS-SVD) and the Extended Kalman filter (EKF) method. The results show that dynamic and static cohesion method, PLS-SVD, and EKF method can be used to identify the damage degree of structures, and the stiffness of the mortise-tenon joints under strong earthquakes is reduced step by step. Using the proposed model, the identified error of the initial stiffness is about 0.58%-1.28%, and the error of the yield stiffness is about 0.44%-1.21%. This method has high accuracy and good applicability for identifying the initial stiffness and yield stiffness of the joints. The identification method and research results can provide a reference for monitoring and evaluating actual engineering structures.

Weighted Collaborative Representation and Sparse Difference-Based Hyperspectral Anomaly Detection

        Qianghui Wang,Wenshen Hua,Fuyu Huang,Yan Zhang,Yang Yan 한국광학회 2020 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.4 No.3

Aiming at the problem that the Local Sparse Difference Index algorithm has low accuracy and low efficiency when detecting target anomalies in a hyperspectral image, this paper proposes a Weighted Collaborative Representation and Sparse Difference-Based Hyperspectral Anomaly Detection algorithm, to improve detection accuracy for a hyperspectral image. First, the band subspace is divided according to the band correlation coefficient, which avoids the situation in which there are multiple solutions of the sparse coefficient vector caused by too many bands. Then, the appropriate double-window model is selected, and the background dictionary constructed and weighted according to Euclidean distance, which reduces the influence of mixing anomalous components of the background on the solution of the sparse coefficient vector. Finally, the sparse coefficient vector is solved by the collaborative representation method, and the sparse difference index is calculated to complete the anomaly detection. To prove the effectiveness, the proposed algorithm is compared with the RX, LRX, and LSD algorithms in simulating and analyzing two AVIRIS hyperspectral images. The results show that the proposed algorithm has higher accuracy and a lower false-alarm rate, and yields better results.

      • Effect of Land-use Types on Soil Organic Carbon and Particulate Organic Carbon in Ecotones of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry

        Bo Deng,Jinge An,Jianguo Han,Fuyu Yang,Yingjun Zhang 한국초지조사료학회 2009 한국초지조사료학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2009 No.08

In this paper, the effect of different land-use types on soil organic carbon (SOC) and Particulate Organic Carbon(POC) was studied by analyzing the soils in the meadow and conversing land of grassland to cropland in ecotones of agriculture and animal husbandry. It is shown t㏊t, compared with meadow, rotations of P/O and P/Cwill reduce SOC in 0-30㎝ soil layers by 47.54%-65.11% and 34.16-64.26% and POC by 16.90%-24.48% and 11.94%-20.29%, respectively. And SOC in meadow is more t㏊n in conversing land of grassland to cropland (P<0.05). Conversing grassland to cropland in ecotones of agriculture and animal husbandry will decrease the contents of SOC and POC.

Topology and start-up strategy for DC-DC transformers based on voltage balancing unit

        Zhang, Jialin,Zha, Kunpeng,Tang, Xiaojun,Yang, Yuefeng,Yan, Hui,Wen, Fuyue,Shi, Mingming The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2021 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.21 No.7

As a core piece of equipment in DC distribution networks, DC solid-state transformers (DCSSTs) are attracting more and more attention in academia and industry. Due to the limitations in terms of the electrical stress of the switches, the input series output parallel (ISOP) structure is adopted in DCSSTs. This paper proposed an improved DCSST topology based on a voltage balancing unit (VBU). This topology has the advantages of higher power density, reduced weight, and cascaded number without compromising efficiency, cost, or reliability. The working modes, mathematical models, and control strategy are analyzed. In addition, a start-up strategy and a parameter design method are proposed in this paper. Simulation and experimental results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed solution. The proposed DCSST is a practical scheme for the application of DC distribution networks.

Fermentation characteristics, chemical composition and microbial community of tropical forage silage under different temperatures

        Dongxia Li,Kuikui Ni,Yingchao Zhang,Yanli Lin,Fuyu Yang 아세아·태평양축산학회 2019 Animal Bioscience Vol.32 No.5

Objective: In tropical regions, as in temperate regions where seasonality of forage production occurs, well-preserved forage is necessary for animal production during periods of forage shortage. However, the unique climate conditions (hot and humid) and forage characteristics (high moisture content and low soluble carbohydrate) in the tropics make forage preservation more difficult. The current study used natural ensiling of tropical forage as a model to evaluate silage characteristics under different temperatures (28°C and 40°C). Methods: Four tropical forages (king grass, paspalum, white popinac, and stylo) were ensiled under different temperatures (28°C and 40°C). After ensiling for 30 and 60 days, samples were collected to examine the fermentation quality, chemical composition and microbial community. Results: High concentrations of acetic acid (ranging from 7.8 to 38.5 g/kg dry matter [DM]) were detected in silages of king grass, paspalum and stylo with relatively low DM (ranging from 23.9% to 30.8% fresh material [FM]) content, acetic acid production was promoted with increased temperature and prolonged ensiling. Small concentrations of organic acid (ranging from 0.3 to 3.1 g/kg DM) were detected in silage of white popinac with high DM content (50.8% FM). The microbial diversity analysis indicated that Cyanobacteria originally dominated the bacterial community for these four tropical forages and was replaced by Lactobacillus and Enterobacter after ensiling. Conclusion: The results suggested that forage silages under tropical climate conditions showed enhanced acetate fermentation, while high DM materials showed limited fermentation. Lactobacillus and Enterobacter were the most probable genera responsible for tropical silage fermentation.

ON LORENTZ GCR SURFACES IN MINKOWSKI 3-SPACE

Fu, Yu,Yang, Dan Korean Mathematical Society 2016 대한수학회보 Vol.53 No.1

A generalized constant ratio surface (GCR surface) is defined by the property that the tangential component of the position vector is a principal direction at each point on the surface, see [8] for details. In this paper, by solving some differential equations, a complete classification of Lorentz GCR surfaces in the three-dimensional Minkowski space is presented. Moreover, it turns out that a flat Lorentz GCR surface is an open part of a cylinder, apart from a plane and a CMC Lorentz GCR surface is a surface of revolution.
