        A Study on the Use of Machine Translation In Korean Language Education

In recent years, machine translation has reached the stage of not just performing simple word to word translation but also performs the role of STS by combining STT, TTT and TTS engines. Such mechanical fusion can be defined as the domain of machine translation that makes use of artificial intelligence. This machine translation is developing rapidly and is being incorporated in our daily day to day life. The purpose of this study is to explore the uses of MT in existing foreign language education, especially in Korean Language education. For this, this study will look back on the development process of MT, and then look for a new educational environment to suit the changed environment of foreign language education. Accordingly, the development process of MT and the cases that are being used in Korea are being thoroughly examined. Not only that, but the scope and functional characteristics of MT that can be linked with education were also being examined. The paper then concludes with a suggestion that MT, which is being proposed as a new educational environment in foreign language (Korean Language) education can be used as a tool for effective language education.
