The Challenge of Mesh Routing in Ubiquitous Sensor Networks
Dominik Kaspar,Eunsook Kim,Hyoungjun Kim 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
This informative paper describes the harsh environment in which sensor networks operate, explains challenges of routing in sensor networks and provides an overview of existing approaches of multi-hop routing.
Profiling the Abundance of Ubiquitous Sensor Network Applications
Eunsook Kim,Dominik Kaspar,Yongwoon Kim 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
This paper discusses the characteristics of USN services and categorizes real-world application scenarios with consideration of these characteristics. We are at the emerging stage of studying and defining requirements for USN in standard bodies. Thus, these analysis results of scenarios and solution spaces can guide further research and the setup of USN services.
An Architecture for Mobility Support in Ubiquitous Sensor Networks
Eunsook Kim,Dominik Kaspar,Hyoungjun Kim 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
Mobility is one of the essential features for ubiquitous sensor networks to enable a fully functional e- Society. Porting heavy IP mobile mechanisms into very low-power, low-rate sensor networks poses various challenging issues. In addition, mobility features must be provided in the circumstance of coexisting non-IP based and IP based sensor networks. There are many open questions to the integration of heterogeneous environments and there is a lack of comprehensive studies on sensor mobility. This paper proposes one architecture.
