As a part of forestry utilization for livestock feed resources the feeding value ague of shrub leaf by growth stage and grazing behabiour of the native cattle at shrubby grassland in function of seasons were investigated and the following results were obtained. 1. The crude protein content of oak leaf declined as the growth stage increased whereas the contents of crude fiber and crude fat showed the opposite tendency. 2. The intake of oak leaf paralleled with the amount given while the intake of the mixed grass leas remarkable increased and the body weight gain was also remarkably increased. 3. The average number of oak leaf intake was 70.5 times for spring, 148.7 for summer, and 395.7 for autumn. 4. The grazing time by the native cattle was decreased in the order of spring, autumn, and summer. As for the grazing behaviour, the intake activity was most active during morning, mid-day and late afternoon or three times a day. 5. The duration of rumination was found to be in the decreasing order or summer, autumn and spring, cattles ruminated more when the grasses were more abundant. 6. As for the inactive period of animal, it was short during spring when the animals spent more time for eating but it was about 5 times longer during both summer and autumn.

Replacement Policy for Equipments that Cumulatively Deteriorate

A replacement policy for a finite time span is proposed for the cumulative process where an item can fail only when the total amount of deterioration exceeds a prespecified failure level. The optimal deterioration limit level is determined to minimize the total cost expected per unit for a given time span. An illustrative example in case of periodically inspected reformer tubes in ammonia plant is also presented.

Saengmaeksan (SMS) is a well known Korean traditional herbal prescription, which consists of 3 different herbs, Radix Ophiopogonis, Radix Ginseng, and Fructus Schisandrae. SMS has been commonly used in various disease including respiratory system and cardiovascular System in Korea. The objective of this study is to find out the improving effects of SMS against Dextran Sulfate Sodium (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis. SMS reduced clinical signs of DSS-induced colitis, including body weight loss, shorten colon length, and increased disease activity index. The results showed that SMS significantly inhibited the activation of nuclear factor-${\kappa}B$ p65 in the colon tissues of DSS-treated mice. In addition, we observed that result showed that the levels of IL-6 in plasma were increased in DSS treated group compared to those of the normal group, but these increased levels were reduced by administration with SMS. Taken together, these findings suggest that SMS has improving effects on DSS-induced ulcerative colitis, which may explain its beneficial effect in the regulation of chronic intestinal inflammation.
Home Device Authentication Framework and Implementation

As home devices have various functions and have improved computing power and networking ability, home device authentication has become increasingly important for improving the security of home network users. Moreover, device authentication supplies user convenience for the home network service user because it can replace the user authentication required for the used home network service. In addition, the security of the home network can be strengthened if device authentication is considered in addition to the authentication and access control for the home network user. In this paper, we describe home device authentication framework and system, certificate profile for home devices, which is based on the Internet X.509 certificate, home device authentication mechanism, and our CA administration server. And also, we propose the tracing method of lost device using our home device authentication system.

Background: Human skin phenotypes such as whitening, wrinkle and moisture are regulated by various factors such as genetic, environmental, and endocrine factors. Among these factors, genetic factor is one of the most potent determinants in skin phenotypes and has polygenic quantitative traits between races Objectives: We investigated the genetic factors influencingskin phenotypes(whitening, wrinkle and moisture) in Korean women Methods: For the genetic study for skin phenotypes in Korean women, we measured whitening, wrinkle and moisture in 300 women aged 30-50 and finally 78 women who show extreme phenotype were selected. Oragene® saliva kit was used to collect highly pure DNA from saliva of volunteers and Ion Proton™ sequencer was used for exome sequencing Results: Using the logistic regression analysis, we found top 10 genes in each skin phenotypes (whitening, wrinkle and moisture) which are statistically significant Conclusion: Our results suggest that multiple genetic variants in exon region could be determinant of an individual’s skin phenotypes such as whitening, wrinkle and moisture in Korean women

<P>We demonstrate a template-free synthetic approach for the preparation of a highly conductive Cu/Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O nanocomposite electrode by a chemical reduction process. Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O octahedra were prepared through chemical dehydrogenation of as-synthesized Cu(OH)<SUB>2</SUB> nanowire precursors. To provide a sufficiently electron-conducting network, the Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O particles were transformed into Cu/Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O nanocomposites by an intentional reduction process. The Cu/Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O nanocomposite electrodes showed enhanced cycling performance compared to Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O particles. Furthermore, their rate capabilities were superior to those of their mechanically mixed Cu/Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O counterparts. This enhanced electrochemical performance of the hybrid Cu/Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O nanocomposites was ascribed to the formation of homogeneous nanostructures, offering an efficient electron-transport path provided by the presence of highly dispersed Cu nanoparticles.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>A process based on the efficient chemical reduction is demonstrated for fabricating highly conductive Cu/Cu<SUB>2</SUB>O nanocomposites for Li-ion battery electrodes. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c1dt10842e'> </P>

<P>One of the most promising anode materials for Li-ion batteries, Li<SUB>4</SUB>Ti<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12</SUB>, has attracted attention because it is a zero-strain Li insertion host having a stable insertion potential. In this study, we suggest two different synthetic processes to prepare Li<SUB>4</SUB>Ti<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12 </SUB>using anatase TiO<SUB>2 </SUB>nanoprecursors. TiO<SUB>2 </SUB>powders, which have extraordinarily large surface areas of more than 250 m<SUP>2 </SUP>g<SUP>-1</SUP>, were initially prepared through the urea-forced hydrolysis/precipitation route below 100°C. For the synthesis of Li<SUB>4</SUB>Ti<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12</SUB>, LiOH and Li<SUB>2</SUB>CO<SUB>3 </SUB>were added to TiO<SUB>2 </SUB>solutions prepared in water and ethanol media, respectively. The powders were subsequently dried and calcined at various temperatures. The phase and morphological transitions from TiO<SUB>2 </SUB>to Li<SUB>4</SUB>Ti<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12 </SUB>were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The electrochemical performance of nanosized Li<SUB>4</SUB>Ti<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12 </SUB>was evaluated in detail by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic cycling. Furthermore, the high-rate performance and long-term cycle stability of Li<SUB>4</SUB>Ti<SUB>5</SUB>O<SUB>12 </SUB>anodes for use in Li-ion batteries were discussed.</P>
유동가속부식으로 인한 오리피스 후단 탄소강 배관에서의 국부감육 현상에 관한 연구

When pipe components made of carbon steel in nuclear and industry are exposed to flowing fluid, wall thinning caused by FAC(Flow Accelerated Corrosion) can be generated and eventually ruptured. A study to identify the locations generating local wall thinning and to disclose turbulence coefficient related to the local wall thinning was performed. Experiment and numerical analyses for grade after orifice of down scaled piping components were performed. In particular, flow visualization experiment which was used alkali metallic salt was performed to find actual location of local wall thinning. The turbulence coefficients based on the numerical analyses were compared with the local wall thinning thickness. The purpose of this paper is that cause investigation of wall thinning by FAC and prediction exactly the local wall thinning location in Pipe.
