        The Effects of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation Combined Lumbar Stability Exercise on the Muscle Activity and Jump Performance of the Soccer Player

        Purpose: The study attempts to understand the effect of lumbar stability exercise of transcranial direct current stimulation on muscle activity and jump performance in soccer player. Methods: Transcranial direct current stimulation combined lumbar stability exercise have been implemented on 15 trainees and general lumbar stability exercise have been implemented on another 15 trainees for 30 minutes at 5 times per week during 8 weeks, and elector spinae, rectus abdominis, external abdominal obilique have been measured using to evaluate the muscle activity of the trunk. The counter movement jump, counter movement jump with arm swing have been measured using g-jump to measure the jump performance. Results: There was statistically meaningful difference on the elector spinae, rectus abdominis, external abdominal obilique in the muscle activity of the trunk and there was statistically meaningful difference on counter movement jump, counter movement jump with arm swing in the jump performance(p<.05). Conclusion: Based on above, it is realized that the transcranial direct current stimulation combined lumbar stability exercise is more effective than the general lumbar stability exercise on the improvement of the muscle activity of the trunk and the jump performance.

        Effect of 6 Weeks of Robot-assisted Arm Therapy on the Arm Function, Gait, and Lung Capacity of Stroke Patients

        Purpose: This study were investigated the effect of robot-assisted arm therapy on the arm function, gait and lung capacity in stroke patients. Methods: The study participants were selected 20 stroke patients who met the selection criteria. 10 people in the robot-assisted arm therapy group and 10 people in the task-oriented arm therapy group were randomly assigned. The experimental group performed robot-assisted arm therapy and the control group performed task-oriented arm therapy for 6 weeks, 5 days a week, 30 minutes a day. The measurement tools included Fugl-Meyer assessment of upper extremity(FMA-UE) and gait analysis system and spirometry. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test and the paired sample t-test. Results: The results of comparing Fugl-Meyer assessment of upper extremity (FMA-UE) before and after the intervention within the group, both the experimental group and the control group were a significant difference in upper extremity item score and Fugl-Meyer assessment total score (p<.01), as a result of comparing Fugl-Meyer assessment of upper extremity (FMA-UE) after intervention between the groups, the experimental group were a significant difference only in the upper extremity item score compared to the control group (p<.05). When comparing the gait before and after intervention within the group, both the experimental group and the control group were a significant differences in temporo-spatial variables and 10 m walking (p<.001). When comparing the gait after intervention between the groups, the experimental group were a significant differences in temporo-spatial variables and 10 m walking compared to the control group (p<.05). When comparing the lung capacity before and after the intervention between the groups, the experimental group were a significant difference only in peak expiratory flow (PEF) (p<.05). Conclusion: Through this study it were confirmed that robot-assisted arm therapy applied to stroke patients for 6 weeks significantly improved function of the arm, gait and lung capacity. Based on these results, it is thought that robot-assisted arm therapy can be used as a useful treatment in clinical practice to improve the kinematic variables in chronic stroke patients.

        허리의 분절적 가동기법이 만성 허리통증 환자의 근육 특성과 안정성 한계에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the segmental mobilization technique of the lower back on the characteristics of the muscles and limited of stability of chronic backache patients. Methods : The subjects of the study were 30 chronic back pain patients who were divided into groups of 15, a manual therapy group (Group I) and a spinal decompression therapy group (Group II), via random assignation. The subjects had 15 minutes of superficial heat therapy, 15 minutes of interference wave therapy, and 5 minutes of ultrasound therapy for conservative physical therapy. Additionally, manual therapy and spinal decompression therapy were administered to each group for 30 minutes, 5 times a week for 8 weeks. Before intervention, the characteristics of the muscles and limited of stability of the muscles were analyzed. After 8 weeks of intervention, the above items were re-measured in the same manner and analyzed between groups. Results : The results of comparative analysis of the characteristics of the muscles and limited of stability between groups showed that there were statistically significant differences. The manual therapy group (Group I) showed significant differences in characteristics of the muscles compared to the spinal decompression therapy group (Group II). The manual therapy group (Group I) showed significant differences in limited of stability compared to the spinal decompression therapy group (Group II). Conclusion : The result confirmed that manual therapy was more effective in the characteristics of the muscles and limited of stability. Based on this study, additional studies are necessary on the effect of various techniques of manual therapy on muscle activity and muscle thickness in chronic back pain patients. In order to develop an effective manual therapy program, studies using a variety of evaluations are needed.

        게임기반 체중지지 균형훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 단계별 일어서고 앉기 동작과 기능적 일어서기 수행력에 미치는 효과

        Purpose : This research intends to identify the effects of game-based weight bearing exercises on balance, muscular activation, sit to stand to sit motions of stroke patients. Method : 30 patients who were diagnosed as hemiplegia by stroke less in than a year were sampled and they were classified into two group, one of which was game-based weight bearing balance exercise group, and the other was functional weight bearing exercise group. 15 people were randomly selected for each group. Each exercise was coordinated by this research for 8 weeks, 5 days a week. 3D motion analyzer was used to measure the sit to stand to sit motions and a stopwatch was used to measure the time for stand-up motions for 5 times. Result : In terms of analyzing sit to stand to sit motions by phases, game-based weight bearing balance exercise group showed significant reduction compared to functional weight-bearing exercise group in phase Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and total time. In terms of functional stand-up performance analysis, game-based weight bearing balance exercise group showed significant reduction compared to functional weight-bearing exercise group in 5 times stand-up examination. Conclusion : It was verified that game-based weight bearing balance exercise had positive impact on function recovery of stroke patients by enhancing sit to stand to sit capabilities. It is considered that game-based exercise was an effective intermediary for functional improvement of stroke patients, while also inducing consistent and voluntary participation by causing interest and motivation.

        한국 거주자 주식투자의 자국편의(Home bias) 현상분석

        본고는 2000년 이후 한국 거주자의 해외주식 투자가 빠르게 증가하면서 자국편의 수준이 지속적으로 완화되는 현상을 분석하였다. 2001∼2017년 중 데이터를 기준으로 한국에 거주하는 주식투자자의 자국편의 결정요인 분석을 통해 살펴본 결과 해외주식 투자관련 거래비용 축소, 투자대상국의 제도적 여건개선 및 정보 비대칭 완화, 그리고 소득축적에 따른 투자여력 확대등의 요인과 함께 외환매매 관련 환차익(환위험 오픈 거래의 경우)과 외환스왑거래 관련외환스왑 거래이익(환위험 헤징 거래의 경우) 추구도 중요한 요인인 것으로 분석되었다. 한편한국에 거주하는 주식투자자의 자국편의 수준은 주요국과 비교하여 상대적으로 높았는데, 이는 분석대상 기간 중 한국의 경제성장률이 상대적으로 높아 주식시장 규모의 성장세가 주요국에 비해 빠른 가운데 주가수익률도 높아 거주자의 해외주식 투자유인이 그리 높지 않았던 데 주로기인한 것으로 보인다. This paper analyzes the phenomenon that the home bias is steadily declining due to the increase of overseas stock investment by Korean residents since 2000. According to the empirical analysis from 2001 to 2017, the FX spot and swap trading related gains are the important factors for declining the home bias on stock investment by Korean residents, along with the reduction of transaction cost involved overseas investment, the improvement of institutional conditions of target countries, the reduction of information asymmetry, and the expansion of investment capacity. Meanwhile, the home bias on stock investment by Korean residents was relatively higher than that of major countries. This was mainly due to the relatively high economic growth rate of Korea during the analysis period, which led to a relatively rapid expansion of the Korean stock market, and the return was also higher than that of major countries.

        A Comparative Study on Cardiopulmonary Endurance and Energy Metabolism in Obese Male College Students

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the cardiopulmonary endurance and the energy metabolism of obese male college students group and normal male college students group of graded load exercise using lower cycle ergometer. Methods: Targeting 15 obese male college students and normal male college Students, an graded load exercise was performed with the use of lower cycle ergometer by increasing 20 watts every 2 minute and ERS 2.0 system were used for the cardiopulmonary function and the energy metabolism. Results: The obese college student group showed significantly lower results in cardiopulmonary endurance in maximum oxygen intake and per minute ventilation, and in energy metabolism, body metabolism and maximum energy consumption were significantly lower than in the normal college student group. Conclusion: Therefore, the decrease in cardiopulmonary endurance in obese college students can act as a negative factor that increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and the prevalence of various disease in the future, so it is necessary to manage cardiopulmonary function and energy consumption metabolism through active weight management and exercise.

        물리치료사의 직무만족 및 직무몰입에 영향을 미치는 직무스트레스 요인 분석

        Purpose : This study was conducted to analyze the job stress factors affecting the job satisfaction and job involvement of physical therapists and to provide basic information for the prevention of job stress among physical therapists. Method : One hundred and eighty-four physical therapists working in hospitals participated in the study by completing the Korean Occupational Stress Scale and surveys about job satisfaction and job involvement. The results were collected and analyzed. Result : The job stress factors the significantly influenced job satisfaction are the following, in order of importance: the organizational climate (p<.05), inter-personal conflict (p<.01), insufficient job control (p<.001), lack of reward (p<.001), and the occupational system (p<.001). The following factors significantly influenced job involvement, again in order of importance: job demand (p<.001), the organizational climate (p<.05), lack of reward (p<.05), the occupational system (p<.01), and insufficient job control (p<.001). Conclusion : The purpose of this study was to analyze the job stress factors affecting the job satisfaction and job involvement of physical therapists and to provide basic information to prevent job stress among physical therapists. The results indicate the need for more studies that analyze the job stress factors of physical therapists and additional studies that specifically analyze the tasks of physical therapists. Studies on how to reduce job stress among physical therapists must also be conducted in the future.

        Effect of a Combined Functional Electrical Stimulation with Action Observation Training on the Upper Limb Global Synkinesis and Function of Patients with Stroke

        Background: Multifaceted approaches will be needed, such as global synkinesis (GS) achieve functional improvements in the arms of stroke patients from involuntary movements during exercise. Objective: To identify changes in arm GS and muscle activity, functional evaluation and the correlation with variables through action observation training, combined with functional electrical stimulation (FES), thereby verifying the effect on stroke patients. Design: A quasi-experimental study. Methods: The subjects of this study were 20 stroke patients who were divided into two groups: Control group (n=10) and experimental group (n=10). Before the intervention, arm GS and muscle activity were measured using surface electromyography (EMG), and arm function was evaluated using the Fugl– Meyer Assessment (FMA) scale. At the end of the intervention, which lasted 4-wk, arm GS and muscle activity were measured again using the same scale. Results: There was a decrease statistically significant difference in GS during the bending action in experimental group (P<.01). Both groups showed a significant difference increased only in the activity of the anterior deltoid (AD) and biceps brachii (BB) (P<.05). The results of the arm functional assessment revealed a significant difference increase in both groups (P<.05). In the between-group comparison, there was a significant difference decrease in GS during the bending action (P<.05). Only the muscle activity of the AD and BB were significantly increase different (P<.05). There was a significant betweengroup difference increase in the arm functional assessment (P<.05). There was a positive correlation between GS and muscle activity on the FMA in the control group (r=.678, P<.05). In experimental group, GS during the bending arm action exhibited a negative correlation (r=-.749, P<.05), and the muscle activity of the AD and BB showed a positive correlation (r=.701, P<.05). Furthermore, in experimental group, the activity of the extensor carpi radialis increased, and the activity of the flexor carpi radialis decreased, which exhibited a negative correlation (r=-.708, P<.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that brain plasticity could be more efficiently stimulated by combining surface stimulation in the affected arm of stroke patients.

        고에너지 물리학(HEP, High Energy Physics)은 물질의 근본 구성 입자와 상호 작용 연구를 통해 궁극적으로 우주 탄생의 비밀을 밝히는 학문이다. 2007년에 시작하는 유럽입자물리연구소(CERN)의 대형강입자충돌기(LHC, Large Hadron Collider)의 CMS(Compact Muon Solenoid)실험에 참여하는 연구진은 2000여명이나 되며, 생산되는 데이타 양은 연간 수 PetaByte에 달할 예정이다. 그러므로 고에너지물리 실험에서 생산하는 데이타는 기존의 전산자원의 개념으로 처리하는 것이 불가능하다. 그리하여 고에너지물리 분야에서 자료의 계층적 구조(Tier-0, 1, 2) 및 데이타 그리드를 활용하게 되었으며, 이러한 고에너지물리 데이타 그리드 연구는 기존에 수행중인 고에너지물리 실험에도 활용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 그리드 응용의 한 분야로서 고에너지물리 데이타 그리드에 관한 연구를 보여준다. The objective of the High Energy Physics(HEP) is to understand the basic properties of elementary particles and their interactions. The CMS(Compact Muon Solenoid) experiment at CERN which will produce a few PetaByte of data and the size of collaboration is around 2000 physicists. We cannot process the amount of data by current concept of computing. Therefore, an area of High Energy Physics uses a concept of Tier and Data Grid. We also apply Data Grid to current High Energy Physics experiments. In this paper, we report High Energy Physics Data Grid System as an application of Grid.
