In the paper, the chaos least squares support vector machine algorithm (Chaos-LS-SVM) is applied. To conduct uncertainty analysis of wind power forecasting, two forecasting algorithms of the probabilistic uncertainty analysis based on the Monte Carlo method and the quantile regression analysis based on Chaos-LS-SVM are discussed. The effectiveness and superiority of the two uncertainty analysis methods in the confidence level of 95%, 90%, and 85% are discussed by simulation analysis, and the confidence interval is given in the corresponding confidence level. The prediction interval coverage probability (PICP) and the prediction interval normalized average width (PINAW) of the two uncertainty methods are compared. In the time scale of 1h-ahead, 4h-ahead, and 6h-ahead, the probabilistic uncertainty analysis based on the Monte Carlo method is suitable. In the time scale of 24h-ahead, the quantile regression analysis based on Chaos-LS-SVM is superior.

A total of 60 weaned pigs with initial body weight (BW) of 8.51 ± 0.42 kg (28 d of age) were randomly divided into 2 groups of 30 each consisted of 6 pens with 2 gilts and 3 borrows and supplemented (treatment) 5.3×108 cfu/kg Lactobacillus plantarum GB805 in addition to basal diet offered during d 0 to 14 and d 15 to 42 (control). During the total trial period or different phases of trial, pigs fed L. plantarum diet had a higher (P less than 0.05) ADG, ADFI and feed efficiency. At the end of experiment, dietary L. plantarum supplementation improved (P less than 0.05) the apparent total tract digestibility of dry matter, nitrogen and the fecal Lactobacillus populations (P less than 0.05) while the fecal E.coli populations were decreased (P less than 0.05). In conclusion, dietary supplementation of L. plantarum GB805 had positive influence on growth rate, nutrient digestibility and gut microbial balance and its supplementation recommended to weaning pigs.

Analysis of Local Surface Plasmon Resonance in Multilayered Au/Ag/Graphene Nanoshells
Chao Liu,Zhaoting Liu,Jingwei Lv,Tao Sun,Qiang Liu,Haiwei Mu,Paul K. Chu 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2017 NANO Vol.12 No.5
"The localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) properties of Au/Ag/graphene nanoshells are studied by discrete dipole approximation (DDA). The coupled resonance wavelengths show a remarkable dependence on the graphene thickness as well as refractive index of the surrounding medium. The resonance wavelengths of Au/Ag/graphene nanoshells red-shift as the thickness of the graphene layer is increased, when the radii of the Au core and Ag interlayer are 40 nm and 45nm, respectively. Specifically, the longer wavelength red-shifts from 540 nm to 740 nm when the refractive index varies from 1.25 to 2.05. "
Antitumor Toxic Protein Abrin and Abrus Agglutinin
Liu, Chao-Lin,Lin, Jung-Yaw The Korean Society of Toxicology Korea Environment 2001 Toxicological Research Vol.17 No.-
Abrus agglutinin was purified from the kernels of Abrus precatorius by Sepharose 4B affinity column chromatography followed by Sephadex G-100 gel filtration column chromatography. About 1.25 g of abrus agglutinin was obtained from 1 kg of the kernels. The LD$_{50}$ of abrus agglutinin is 5 mg/kg of body weight, which is less toxic than that of abrin, 20$\mu\textrm{g}$/kg body weight. The amino acid sequence of abrus agglutinin was determined by protein sequencing techniques and deduced from the nucleotide sequence of a cDNA clone encoding full length of abrus agglutinin. There are 258 residues, 2 residues and 267 residues in the A-chain, the linker peptide and the B-chain of abrus agglutinin, respectively. Abrus agglutinin had high homology to abrin-a (77.8%). The 13 amino acid residues involved in catalytic function, which are highly conserved among abrin and ricin, were also conserved within abrus agglutinin. The protein synthesis inhibitory activity of abrus agglutinin ($IC_{50}$/ = 3.5 nM) was weaker than that of abrin-a (0.05 nM). By molecular modeling followed by site-directed mutagenesis showed that Pro199 of abrus agglutinin A-chain located in amphipathic helix H and corresponding to Asn200 of abrin A-chain, can induce bending of helix H. This bending would presumably affect the binding of abrus agglutinin A-chain to its target sequence GpApGpAp, in the tetraloop structure of 285 r-RNA subunit and this could be one of major factors contributing to the relatively weak protein synthesis inhibitory activity and toxicity of abrus agglutinin.n.

Shear connectors play a major role in the development of composite steel concrete systems. The behavior of shear connectors is usually calculated by push-out measurements. These experiments are expensive and take a lot of time. Soft Computation (SC) may be applied as an additional solution to remove the need for push-out testing. The objective of the research is to explore the implementation, as sub-branches of the SC approaches, of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for the prediction of advanced C-shaped shear connectors. To this end, multiple push-out tests on these connectors will be carried out and the requisite data is obtained for the AI models. The Grey Wolf Optimizer algorithm (GWO) is built to define the parameters that influence the shear strength of angle connectors. Two regression metrics as determination coefficient (R2) and root mean square (RMSE) were used to measure the results of model. Furthermore, only four parameters in the predictive models are sufficient to provide an extremely precise prediction. It was found that GWO is a faster method and is able to achieve marginally higher output indices than in experiments.

A total of 45 Landrace x Yorkshire multiparous sows were used to evaluate the effect of dietary herbal extract mixture (Scutellaria baicalensis and Lonicera japonica, HEM) supplementation in lactating sows under heat stress. Sows were randomly allotted to 1 of 3 dietary treatments: 1) CON, basal diet; 2) TRT 1, basal diet with 5 g/d HEM; 3) TRT 2, basal diet with 10 g/d HEM. During lactation, dietary HEM supplementation linearly increased (P<0.05) the average daily feed intake (ADFI) and linearly decreased (P<0.05) backfat loss. The digestibility of dry matter (DM) was increased after farrowing (linear, P<0.05; quadratic, P<0.05) and weaning (linear, P<0.05) by HEM supplementation. Furthermore, HEM treatment led to a lower (linear, P<0.01) serum cortisol level. In addition, administration of HEM improved (linear, P<0.05) the piglets weaning weight and overall average daily gain (ADG) during suckling period. Meanwhile, on day 7 and 14 after birth, the fecal score of piglets was decreased (linear, P<0.01) by HEM supplementation. Taken together, under high ambient temperatures, inclusion of HEM to lactation diets could improve the feed intake, digestibility of DM, piglets weaning weight and ADG, while decreasing backfat loss, serum cortisol level, as well as the diarrhea of piglets.
