        In Korea the structure and activity in chemical industry(in accordance with the rapid development of chemical technology) is rapidly promoted day by day. Therefore the education in College of Industrial Education must be up to date and up to the grade in teaching because the graduates from this college should teach the future technical engineers and introduce new technology into teaching. Through the consideration of this idea we have reached to results as following; 1) The improvement of Chemical Engineering Education must be continued. 2) The curricula should be renewed in accordance with the current circumstances of technology. 3) The Department of Chemical Engineering in the College of Industrial Education must play the role of improving the curricula of technical high school. 4) Future engineers and today technicians must be trained in the college and the technical high schools, respectively. 5) Since the education through the audio-visual aids, especially the experiment is of great effect, such a method must be widely applied. 6) Students in doing graduation tasks must be grouped and every group must be oriented by each professor for the student to be oriented in the future research. 7) Options should be guided in conformity with the student's aptitude.

        This paper is a study of the fundamental design and operation preblems in Rotary Kilns for Biomass- pyrolysis. It is concerned especially with the flow pattern and mixing degree of solid reactants in Rotary Kilns. It was cleared that the mean residence time of solids was independent on the feed rate and the highest mixing degree could be obtained at 120 rpm. With a modified temperature profile in the Kiln and through pyrolysis of saw dust a gas mixture could be produced which has a calorific value of 3500 kcal/㎥ calculated.

      • 고온 Binder로서 Vinylchloride-Vinylacetate 공중합 수지의 특성

        Vinylchloride-vinylacetate copolymer was analyzed with thermogravimetric analyzer, and as a result of this analysis, temperature profile for oxidation and carbonization was drawn up. Graphite, the copolymer and some additives were blent with solvent and extruded in order to prepare a sample. In this study, 3 effects on bending strength are examined: 1) amount of binder, 2) temperature of oxidation, 3) temperature of carbonization. When sample is treated up to 270℃ for 11 hours for oxidation and up to 1150℃ for 3 hours for carbonization, the bending strength of the sample reached to 3.8 × 10 gf/㎟.

        From the oxidative thermal analysis of PAN-Methylacrylate copolymer fibre following results were obtained. 1) The cyclization of naphthyridine was taken place with this copolymer fibre instead of formation of carbon-carbon double bond under the temperature of 180℃. 2) Polymerization of C = N was begun above 180℃. 3) This copolymer fibre should be oxidized more than 2hrs at 22℃ in order to produce PANOX or CF, or it would be difficult to form the ladder-polymer structure under 220℃. 4) At above 240℃, the oxidation time would be much shortened, while the strength of CF would be decreased with abscission of polymer back-bone.

      • 핏치를 Matrix-precursor로 한 탄소/탄소 복합체의 성질

        Using aluminum chloride and copper chloride as a catalyst, coal tar pitches were heat treated and converted into pitch containing more aromatic hydrocarbons. The pitches were used as a matrix precursor for carbon/carbon composite. As a result, a composite after first carbonization up to 1000℃ was shown 4-7% of volume contration. The contration was improved compared with that of resin matrix precursor. In order to increase the density of composite, the composite was imptegnated and recarbonized 4 times with molten pitch and increased up to 1.72g/㎤. The composite based coal tar pitch was shown in higher modulus than the composite based with resin.

      • 마이크로파 트랜시버용 위상동기 유전체 발진기의 설계

        본 논문에서는 마이크로파 샘플링 위상검파에 의한 위상동기발진기에 의하여 고 안정 Ku-band 마이크로파 트랜시버용 국부발진기를 설계하였다. 설계된 유전체 발진기는 병렬귀환공진형태로서 소스단에서 전압을 제어할 수 있는 전압제어발진기로 설계 제작하였으며 마이크로파샘플링은 외부에서 제공되는 125MHz의 표준주파수를 SRD로 체배시켜 하모닉 신호를 이용하였으며 유전체 발진기의 자유발진신호와 샘플링신호사이의 위상비교에 의하여 고 안정 특성을 갖는 위상고정 발진기를 제작하였다. 제작된 마이크로파 샘플링 위상동기발진기는 발진주파수 13.25GHz에서 -9.5dBm의 위상고정 출력을 나타냈으며, 위상잡음은 -74.67dBc/Hz @10kHz와 -103dBc/Hz @100kHz의 특성과 10ppm급의 고안정 위상동기의 특성을 보였다. This paper describes a microwave sampling phase detection which operates over the ku-band and 13.25GHz phase locked microwave oscillation for high stable microwave transceiver local oscillator. The Voltage controlled dielectric resonant oscillator with parallel feedback is controlled by source voltage of active device. To obtain the high stabilization, we use the standard frequency of 100MHz supported by external source and harmonic signals which is multiplied by SRD diode to make microwave sampling signal. it is compared the phases of two signal between free running signal of DRO and multiplied signal at the phase detector diodes. As a result of experimental results of designed the microwave sampling phase 1ocked microwave oscillator, the phase locked oscillator exhibits output power of -9.5dBm with phase noise in the phase locked state of -74.67dBc/Hz at 10KHz and -103dBc/Hz at 100KHz offset frequency from 13.25GHz, respectively.

        In 1950s, until the end of the Korean War, economy of the Republic of Korea has been strongly oriented to agriculture. From 1960s to 1970s, four times successive Economic Development Plan has changed its economic aspects to the labor oriented export industry one. This change is connected with big problem. One of these problems which is important for the success is education in the field of technology. Then, College of Industrial Education at Chungnam National University is assigned being Koreas first, only and unique institution to educate the teachers for Technical High Schools, thus, to contribute to a prosperous development of the nation skilled manpower in a cardinal point. The main goal of this field study is to gather useful materials and informations, relevant and meaningful for the development of curricula measurments within the field of vocational technical education. This includes not only pre-vocational education in Technical High School but also the training of technical teachers at C.I.E.. After analysing the informations and results of this field study we can find quite a lot of possible recommendations for persons and institutions involved in vocational-technical education. But we will express only a certain amount of them, 1) Put higher emphasis on basic vocational qualifications ! 2) Provide realistic perspectives towards the world of work ! 3) Link theory and practice in vocational-technical education ! 4) Develop an active qualification strategy in schools ! 5) Develop thoroughly appropriate curricula ! 6) Reduce the number of students in classes ! 7) Adapt the equipment of schools towards educational goals ! 8) Integrate vocational practice into technical education !

      • 2.methyl - 1.3dioxolane-water 계의 등온 기액평형

        In this work, we investigated the vapor-liquid equilibrium data of the system 2.methyl-1.3dioxolane - water, in order to provide elementary data for separation of 2.methyl-1.3dioxolane and water. Experiment was carried out at 30℃ and 35℃ isotherm by new head space analysis method, which was developed by ourselves. This binary system has the minimum azeotrope in both isothermal condition and has relatively large value of activity coefficient. It indicate that this system is nearly nonideal. Some model parameters, such as Wilson, NRTL, etc., were evaluated. With these parameters, each isothermal data was recalculated. We compared experimental data with recalculated data. By NRTL parameter fit experimental data best.

      • 흑연-메소페이스핏치 복합재료의 열이방성

        In the development of thermal anisotropic materials with natural graphite powder and pitches as raw materials, extruding and hot-press method were investigated. Pitches should be reformed to mesophase pitch precursor by thermal pretreatment for using as a binder, and the heating rate was recommended within 0.2℃/min in the carbonization process. The tensile strength of axial direction of all specimens was about three times larger than that of radial direction and it could be increased about 25-60% by adding 1% chopped carbon fiber. The thermal expansion coefficient of axial direction was about 1/3-1/5 than that of radial direction and the thermal expansion was repressed by adding carbon fiber. The thermal conductivity of carbon fiber added specimens was increased with increasing the temperature, while that of without carbon fiber was decreased. The thermal conductivity of axial direction was about 8.0-4.58 times larger than that of radial direction by adding carbon fiber in the range of 0-400℃. As a general, properties of hot-pressed specimens were better than those of extruded specimens.
