In the present work, for thefirst time, a series of unique zinc-centered metal–organicfilms with highanti-corrosion potency was fabricated on the steel surface through the covalent/non-covalent bonding/interactions between the naturalflavonoid based-molecules (Quercetin) and Zn2+/Fe2+ metal-cations. Thevisualized steel surface micro-scale microstructure by FE-SEM proved that the Quercetin:Zn based metal–organicfilm covered the metallic surface significantly. Also, the elemental analysis of the protectedsurfaces via GIXRD, EDS, and mapping experiments illustrated that the metal–organic compoundssufficiently adsorbed. Tafel curves achievements depicted that the Quercetin:Zn based metal–organicfilmcould efficiently protect the iron surface via both O2 reduction/Fe oxidation mechanisms and theoutcomes indicated that in the presence of Quercetin (200 ppm):Zn (600 ppm) inhibitors the mostprotectivefilm against chloride solution was attained (97% efficiency) after 24 h of iron exposure. Additionally, the theoretically derived outcomes applying MC/MD modeling associated with DFTcalculations ascertained the interactions followed by adsorption of complexes over the M-Steel.

Ali Dehghani,Hamed Khodadadi 제어로봇시스템학회 2017 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2017 No.10
The most important part of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technology is heating System. This part is used in smart buildings and provides the desired air quality and thermal comfort. The time delay and uncertainty in model parameters due to the several operation mode cause the main challenges in heating system control by the traditional PID approaches. To overcome these problems, this paper presents an intelligent PID algorithm combines the fuzzy logic and neural network method together and used it in Smith predictor structure. Hence, a fuzzy neural network PID controller based on Smith predictor is proposed in this paper for the heating system. By correction of the dynamic learning of neural network and fuzzy inference, PID parameters of the controller get their optimal values. Simulation results of the heating system illustrate that the performance of the fuzzy neural network PID controller based on Smith predictor in comparison to the other control structures has been greatly improved, with fast response, smallest overshoot and lowest rise and settling time.

Nowadays, flexible joint robots (FJR) manipulators are widely used at industry; however, these robots have several problems. These problems are in the joint and with links. Another problem is their complex dynamics that make control of this robot have some challenges. Non-linearity, interaction between loops and flexibility in the joint cause this problem. The present paper has focused to improve the tracking performance of these robots. Therefore, at the first step, we need to use physical relations of system and determine a model for the FJR. In this paper, the Fuzzy Logic Self- Tuning PID (FLST-PID) controller will be introduced to keep the rotating angle of the link of FJR at desired position. In the classic PID forms, the parameter values of the controller i.e. Kp , Ki , Kd are calculated in many various methods like Ziegler-Nichols and are constant. In FLST-PID, the parameter values computed by intelligent methods like fuzzy logic and they vary during the controlling process. For demonstrating the ability of the proposed controller, some classic controller like PID, LQR and State Feedback will be designed for FJR and the response of the system with these controllers will be compared. Moreover, by considering some uncertainty on systems parameters, the comparison will be performed once again. Simulation results confirm the claims and show that the proposed controller has the best response for the system especially in uncertainty conditions.

In the present study, comprehensive research efforts were made to experimentally/theoretically examinethe corrosion protection capability of Laurus nobilis leaves extract for carbon steel in an acidic mediumcomposed of 1 M HCl. The experimental EIS results evidenced that upon steel exposure to a corrosiveelectrolyte containing 400 ppm L. nobilis leaves extract the maximum protection performance of 92% wasobtained after 2.5 h. The experiments of potentiodynamic polarization proposed a mixed-type anodic/cathodic anti-corrosion action along with small cathodic prevalence. The electronic features establishedby the DFT approach highlighted that the surface adsorption mechanism could be described by donor-acceptor interactions.

Interleukin (IL) 17 is produced by T-helper (Th) 17 with a vigorous effect on cells of the immune system playing important roles in pathogenesis of immune-mediated diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancers. Therefore, the aim of current study was to determine the serum levels of IL-6, IL-17, and transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) in Iranian bladder cancer patients, and to correlate them with disease status. Blood samples were collected from 40 bladder cancer patients and 38 healthy individuals with no history of malignancies or autoimmune disorders. The serum levels of IL-6, IL-17, and TGF-β were measured by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results showed that the levels of IL-17 (p<0.0001) and TGF-β (p<0.0001) were significantly lower in the patients compared to the controls. No significant differences in the level of serum IL-6 (p=0.16) was observed between the patients and controls. In addition, demographic characteristics between control and patients groups were not significantly different. As most of the cases studied in this investigation were in stage I and II, it is concluded that reduced Th17-related cytokines can be used as indicators for following the course and clinical stages of bladder carcinoma progress and immune response to cancer.

Wool with high strength, elasticity, and resiliency has good dye-ability and comfort however could bedigested by keratinolytic enzymes. In this research, wool fabric pre-treated with BTCA and then treatedwith nano ZnO. The treated fabrics showed mothproofing activity against the larvae of carpet beetle,Anthrenus verbasci, as feeding protein fibers. The role of both BTCA and nano ZnO concentrations onmothproofing properties of the wool fabric were optimized using statistical model of response surfacemethodology (RSM). Mothproofing was investigated through assessing wool weight loss during feedingby A. verbasci. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was utilized to obtain the optimum models for woolwith mothproofing properties. The damages on the wool surface confirmed with scanning electronmicroscopy and digital camera images. Further transmission and absorbance spectra approved the UVprotection properties of the nano ZnO treated wool in both UVA and UVB.

MFe2O4 (M = Co, Ni and Zn) ferrite spinels were prepared and calcinated at 100, 200 and 300 C. Theferrite spinels were characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM and TEM. The CoFe2O4, ZnFe2O4 and NiFe2O4 ferritescalcinated at 300 C had particles size of 40, 32 and 24 nm, respectively. The adsorption of bromo phenolred (BPR) by ferrite spinels was studied. The results showed that adsorption capability of nano particleswas as follows: ZnFe2O4< CoFe2O4< NiFe2O4. The effect of parameters such as contact time and pH onthe adsorption of BPR was investigated. The adsorption of BPR was followed by pseudo-second-orderkinetic model. Thermodynamic results revealed that the adsorption of BPR onto nano ferrite spinels wasendothermic and spontaneously processed. Both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models foradsorption of BPR werefitted by experimental data.

A novel microstrip low-pass filter is presented to achieve an ultra-wide stopband with 11 harmonic suppression and very sharp skirt characteristics. The filter is composed of a modified U-shaped resonator (which creates two fully adjustable transmission zeroes), a T-shaped resonator (which determines a cut-off frequency), and four radial stubs (which provide a wider stopband). The operating mechanism of the filter is investigated based on a proposed equivalent-circuit model, and the role of each section of the proposed filter in creating null points is theoretically discussed in detail. The presented filter with 3 dB cut-off frequency (fc = 2.35 GHz) has been fabricated and measured. Results show that a relative stopband bandwidth of 164% (referred to as a 22 dB suppression) is obtained while achieving a high figure-of-merit of 15221.

The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is a technology used in smart buildings, providing thermal comfort and acceptable air quality. Heating system is the most important part of this technology and several methods have been proposed for controlling it. The model of heating system includes time delay. Moreover, the model parameters are changed based on the operation mode. In this paper, Smith predictor is proposed as a solution for controlling the time delayed system. In addition, to overcome the uncertain condition of the model, a self-tuning PID controller is employed based on the fuzzy logic. Therefore, in this paper, a self-tuning fuzzy logic PID controller based on Smith predictor is proposed to control the heating system. The findings obtained from various simulation results verified the remarkable precision of the proposed method in controlling the heating system in comparison to the other controllers like PID and PID based on Smith predictor.

Objective: Optimizing in vitro maturation (IVM) media to achieve better outcomes has been a matter of interest in recent years. The aim of this prospective clinical trial was to investigate the effects of different media on the IVM outcomes of immature oocytes at the germinal vesicle (GV) stage. Methods: A total of 400 immature oocytes at the GV stage with normal morphology were retrieved from 320 infertile women aged $31{\pm}4.63years$ during stimulated intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles. They were divided into groups of homemade IVM medium (I, n = 100), cleavage medium (II, n = 100), blastocyst medium (III, n = 100), and Sage IVM medium (IV, n = 100) and cultured for 24 to 48 hours at $37^{\circ}C$. ICSI was performed, and the rates of fertilization and embryo formation were compared across the four groups. Results: In the 400 retrieved GV oocytes, the total maturation rates showed significant differences in groups I to IV (55%, 53%, 78%, and 68%, respectively, p<0.001). However, there were no significant differences in the fertilization, embryo formation, or arrest rates of metaphase II oocytes across these groups. In all groups, GV maturation was mostly completed after 24 hours, with fewer oocytes requiring 48 hours to mature (p<0.01). Moreover, the rate of high-quality embryos was higher in group IV than in the other groups (p=0.01). Conclusion: The quality of the IVM medium was found to affect clinical IVM outcomes. Additionally, blastocyst medium may be a good choice in IVM/ICSI cycles as an alternative IVM medium.
