수목원 ․ 식물원의 연구기반 청소년 대상 ESD 프로그램 개발 및 적용

본 연구의 목적은 수목원 및 식물원의 산림생물종 연구를 교육프로그램에 반영하여 청소년 대상 지속가능발전교육(ESD) 프로그램으로 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 밝히는데 있다.이를 위하여 국립수목원의 산림생물종 연구를 바탕으로 교육 요소를 추출하였으며, 산림생물 종인 식물, 곤충, 버섯을 주제로 3일 과정의 프로그램을 개발하였다. 각 분야별 석․박사 학위 소지자(전문가)가 직접 진행하는 이론 수업과 현장 체험학습을 하는 멘토링 프로그램으로 기획하였다. 교육 대상인 청소년을 고려하여 진로탐색과도 연계하여 내용을 구성하였다. 또한 프로그램의 이해를 높이기 위한 교재로 ‘청소년 산림생물학교 가이드북’을 전문가의 검토를 거쳐 제작하였다. 개발한 프로그램은 총 19명의 청소년들에게 적용하였으며, 그 결과 전체 만족도는 4.87로 높게 나타났다. 정성분석에서는 프로그램 재참여 의사와 진로직업 의지 및 태도 등이 나타났다. ESD 측면에서는 환경적 측면에서 교육적 효과가 있는 것으로 분석 되었다. This study aims to develop and implement an ESD program based on biological researches at arboreta and botanic gardens for the youth. Educational elements were extracted from Korea National Arboretum research fields. Considering that the targets were teenagers, a link with career exploration was sought. As a result, ‘Youth Forest School’ was designed for three consecutive days, covering plants, insects and mushrooms. The program was designed as a mentoring program including theoretical lessons and field study which are directly carried out by professionals. To enhance the students’ understanding, ‘Youth Forest School guidebook’ was published after experts’review. For three days, 19 students have participated in this program. Analysis of the program showed that the satisfaction level was as high as 4.87 and students showed high re-participation intentions and career interest. In the aspect of ESD, it was effective in terms of the environment.

이 연구는 생태 관련 진로체험 활동을 중심으로 야외 체험형 생태교육 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 프로그램 개발을 위하여 생태교육 관련 문헌을 조사하고 교과과정을 분석하였으며, 국립생태원의 생태교육 프로그램 모델을 기반으로 중학생 대상의 생태진로체험 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 자유학기제와 연계된 체험형 프로그램으로 충남지역 8개 중학교의 313명에게 적용하였으며, 설문조사를 통해 프로그램 만족도를 알아보았다. SPSS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 문항 영역별 만족도와 영역별 상관관계 분석하였고, 학생들의 소감을 중심으로 질적 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 중학교 교육과정의 과학, 사회, 도덕 교과과정과 연계하여 ‘동물 흔적 찾기’ 생태진로체험 프로그램을 개발하였다. 둘째, 설문 빈도 분석 결과, 프로그램에 대한 전체적인 만족도, 생태계 보전 및 생물다양성 가치 이해, 생태 관련 직업의 다양성 인식, 프로그램에 대한 흥미, 생태교육활동에 대한 참여 의지, 생태 관련 직업에 대한 관심, 생태 관련 직업에 대한 의지 표명의 순으로 높게 응답하였다. 한편, 설문 문항 영역에 대한 상관관계 분석에서는 모든 문항이 서로 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계(p<0.05)가 있음을 보여 주었다. 마지막으로 질적 분석 결과, 프로그램의 참가자들은 이 프로그램을 통하여 생태적 지식과감수성의 측면을 함께 보여주면서 프로그램의 효과를 지지하였다. 따라서 개발된 생태 관련 진로체험 프로그램은 중학교 학생들의 생태적 지식 및 가치관 생태적 행동 및 참여, 생태 관련 직업에 대한 관심의 증진의 측면에서 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. This study aims to develop and implement an experience-based ecological education program for middle school students and examined its effectiveness. The program focused on the ecological career experience and was implemented for 313 middle school students in the National Institute of Ecology. After implementing the program, the survey of participants’ program satisfaction for middle school students was conducted and analyzed using SPSS statistical program as well as qualitative analysis. The results of the study are summarized as follows: First, the ecological career experience program was developed in the field of animal ecology contents related to the school curriculum of science, social studies, and ethics for middle school students. Second, the results of survey showed more than 80% satisfaction in most of domains of investigation including participants’ satisfaction in program activities, interest, understanding of ecological value and diversity. Third, all domains of the survey items are statistically correlated in a positive way (p<0.05). Finally, the qualitative results showed that the program participants expressed their affection and knowledge in the field of ecology significantly. Therefore, we conclude that the developed experience-based ecological education program was effective in order for middle school students to improve the ecological interest, knowledge, understanding about the value and diversity of ecology as well as the career interest in the field of ecology.

2016년 10월 국립수목원 청소년 프로그램에 참가한 중학생 1학년~3학년 92명을 대상으로 총 2회 신규 자유학기제 프로그램 ‘1일 곤충학자 되어보기’ 프로그램을 실시하였다. 실시한 프로그램은 국립수목원 전문전시원에서 곤충학자가 연구하는 방법을 직접 체험하고 진로와 직업에 대해 모색할 수 있는 활동으로 구성하고, 교육활동 장소 및 연구기관 특성을 반영하여 곤충 모니터링 실시와 곤충 전문가의 협조를 통해 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램의 만족도 분석과 참가자의 산림생물 진로 · 직업 인식을 알아보기 위해 프로그램, 교육강사, 교육환경, 사회전반, 진로 · 직업 영역별 사후설문을 시행하였다. 분석 결과, 신뢰도는 0.7보다 높은 값을 나타내어 신뢰도가 적절하다고 판단하였으며, 5영역 전체 평균은 3.97 값을 보였다. 교육환경 영역의 교육활동 장소와 내용 적합성에서 4.40의 가장 높은 값을 보였다. 상관분석 결과는 분석을 실시한 총 8문항 중 산림생물 진로 · 직업 흥미와 임업연구사 진로·직업 의지 영역간의 상관계수가 0.898로 가장 높은 수치를 보였다. 프로그램 흥미도에 따른 회귀분석 결과에서는 설명력(R2)이 0.605 값을 보여 프로그램 재참여 의사에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. In October, 2016, 92 middle school students participated in a New Free Semester Program, ‘I am a One-Day Entomologist.’ The Program was developed for students to experience professional methods of entomologists in Korea National Arboretum and to get career and occupation knowledge. A survey about program satisfaction and awareness of career was conducted after the program to analyze program contents, teachers, environment, society and career/occupation. As a result, it showed the value higher than 0.7 in reliability. Satisfaction was high value of 3.97. Education place and suitability of program environment was highest as 4.40. The result of correlation analysis shows that correlation coefficient was highest as 0.898 between interest of career/occupation and research official of Forestry. In the regression analysis, R2 value was 0.605 and it shows that interest of program substantially affects program reparticipation.

군 부적응 병사를 대상으로 한 숲체험 프로그램 효과성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 군 부적응 병사를 대상으로 숲체험 프로그램 효과성에 대해 검증하고자 수행하였다. 국립수목원에서 운영하는 군 장병 프로그램에 참가한 군 부적응 병사 104명을 대상으로 스트레스, 대인관계에 관한 사항을 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 숲체험 프로그램은 군 부적응 병사들에게 스트레스 완화, 대인관계 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 스트레스 항목에서는 직무적응 부분의 스트레스 완화효과가 높게 나타났으며, 상급자특성, 부대환경 사항 순으로 나타났다. 대인관계 항목에서는 간부의 관계 향상이 높게 나타났으며 선임병, 후임병, 동료 순으로 나타났다. 숲체험 효과는 숲체험 경험이 없는 군 부적응 병사들에게서 높게 나타났다. 이는 숲체험 프로그램은 군 부적응 병사들에게 스트레스 완화와 대인관계 향상에 긍정적인 요소로 작용하였다. This study was performed to verify the effectiveness of Forest Experience Program for maladjusted soldiers. A survey for stress and personal relationship was carried out for 104 maladjusted solders who took part in Korea national arboretum’s military soldier program. The study showed that Forest Experience Program had positive effect to reduce stress and improve personal relationship on maladjusted soldiers. Reduced stress for adjustment of duty was shown the highest level and superior characteristic and unit atmosphere were followed in terms of stress, and improved personal relationship with commissioned officers and senior soldier, junior soldiers and colleagues were followed in terms of personal relationship. The effectiveness of forest experience was highly shown among maladjusted soldiers who did not have any experience. The study result showed that Forest Experience Program had substantial positive effect to reduce stress and improve personal relationship.
