유아교육 실습지도를 위한 실습지도교수와 실습생 간 e-멘토링에 대한 인식

본 연구의 목적은 유아교육 실습지도를 위한 실습지도교수와 실습생 간 e-멘토링에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위한 것이었다. 이를 위하여 2008년 1학기에 교육실습에 참여한 유아교육과 4학년 학생 300명과 실습 지도교수 34명을 대상으로 질문지를 배부하여 회수된 질문지 중 총 303부를 자료 처리하였다. 연구 결과, 유아교육 실습지도 시 실습지도교수와 실습생 간 e-멘토링이 필요하다는 인식이 높았으며, 직접 참여하고 싶다는 의지도 높게 나타났다. 기본 관점으로는 협력적 상호 작용, 상호 신뢰와 존중이 중요하다는 인식이 높았고, 목적으로는 실습생의 어려움 극복 및 자신감 증진, 실습생의 반성적 사고능력 증진에 대한 인식이 높게 나타났다. 내용으로는 교육 활동 계획ㆍ실시ㆍ평가, 유아 이해 및 생활지도와 관련된 내용에 대한 인식이 높았으며, 운영방식은 온라인 교수-학습 자료실 운영, 온라인 협의에 대한 인식이 높게 나타났다. 구성원의 조직은 교수 1인과 실습생 2명-5명 정도를 한 팀으로 한 집단 멘토링에 대한 요구가 높았다. 멘토의 역할에 대해서는 실습생을 정서적으로 지지하고 격려하는 역할, 실습생의 장점을 인식하고 협력자로 존중하는 역할에 대한 인식이 높았으며, 멘티의 역할에 대해서는 교수 및 실습생과 정보를 교류하고 공유하는 역할, 교수 및 실습생으로부터 적극적으로 배우는 역할에 대한 인식이 높게 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 유아교육 실습지도를 위한 e-멘토링에 반영할 실제적 준거에 대해 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigation the student teachers and their professors' perceptions on e-mentoring for early childhood student teaching. The questionnaire based on the related theoretical review, interviews with student teachers and their professors, and the processes of content validity and reliability included 51 items in 7 sub-categories. It was administered to 303 student teachers and their professors who were attending student teaching. The study indicates that the student teachers and professors need the e-mentoring for early childhood student teaching and have a strong willingness of participating in it. They highly perception are as follows: the viewpoint is cooperative relationship and mutual trust and respect and the purpose is increasing self-confidence and reinforcing reflective thinking. The contents is teaching plan and relationship others and the operating methods is on-line discussion and board on web-site. The roles of mentor is positive support for student teachers and respect as cooperator, and the mentee's roles is active learning from participators. These results suggest that a e-mentoring for early childhood student teaching should be created based on student teacher and professors' perception.

As young children are increasingly exposed to computer technology both at home and kindergartens, arguments on its positive and negative effects have been existed. However considering the actual state of utilizing technology, we'd better seek how to apply this technology to education for young children effectively rather than get absorbed in arguing it pro and con. This study examined theoretical discussions on and the meaning of the role of technology in education for young children through reviewing previous studies on the effects of technology on young children's cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional aspects. While in earlier studies on the role of technology, arguments against the technology were dominant, later more studies on its positive effect were conducted. That is, recent studies revealed that the use of computer technology by young childhood has a positive effect on their cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional aspects. In most cases, in studies with experiments, young children in experimental groups with computer utilization activities rather than in control groups showed more improvement in the above aspects. Computer softwares and web contents mostly used in those studies were open softwares and web contents proper for the developmental period, and they are appropriate for young children's developmental characteristics and promote their active participation, and also make them engage in learning activities positively by stimulating their interest. Therefore, it is important to discuss whether computer softwares and web contents have high quality proper for young children rather than to focus on the use or disuse of computer technology.
