      • 공간데이터베이스 다중 추상화시스템 구축에 관한 연구

        GIS을 활용하는 다양한 응용분야에서 공간데이터베이스의 상세한 정도(추상화 수준)는 그 목적에 따라 달라진다. 추상화 수준이 달라지면 공간자료의 기하학적인 단순화뿐 아니라, 객체(인스턴스), 공간 및 속성 자료, 위상관계, 의미관계 등이 변화되거나 유지되어야 한다. 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 원시 공간데이터베이스를 추상화하여 목표데이터베이스를 생성하는 방법을 제시하였다. 공간데이터베이스를 추상화하는 연산자를 재정의하고, 어떤 객체에 어떤 연산자들을 어떤 순서로 적용하여야 하는지에 대한 기준을 제시하고, 이 기준에 따라 워크플로우를 제시하였으며, 프로토타입시스템을 개발하여 타당성을 검토했다.

      • 토지관리정보체계 개발전략과 구현사례

        The master plan for the land management information system development was established in 1997 and demonstration projects were carried out in Nam-gu, Daegu Metropolis in 1998. As of the end of 2001, 12 project areas have completed installing the land management information system and are now utilizing it in operations or in trial operation and 88 areas are still under construction. Sixteen metropolises and provinces and 232 cities, counties and districts plan to complete the development of land management information system by 2004 and additionally Install a land information center to manage and maintain the land management information system. The land management information system was introduced as one of information technologies to solve the problems arising in the operations of land management and administration. It inevitably accompanies a radical change of working environment, from analogue to digital. It is obviously not a simple job and largely depends on how to entice the officials working in analogue settings into a digitalized world. Therefore, it is not too much to say that the success of the land management information system development project depends on how to rationally adapt the analogue land administrations to a digital environment.

      • 사회과학연구에서 GIS 활용 동기와 만족의 인과분석

        It is possible to design a strategy for expanding the applications of GIS by identifying why social science researchers use GIS. This study analyses motivating factors for the researchers to utilize GIS and their satisfying factors towards the result. It is based on survey results which was answered by social science researchers at national research institutes and local governmental research institutes in South Korea in the perspective of merits of applying GIS, level of GIS usability and experienced effectiveness of applying GIS. Analysis result reveals that motivating factors to researchers applying GIS are correlated with efficiency in their research and satisfying factors are correlated to the usability. Then, we induced a fact that motivative factors for applying GIS is not related to the satisfaction of that. It may be a reason which researchers use GIS less applying in social science fields. As a result, it is necessary to connect the motivating and satisfying factors to further expand GIS applications.

      • GIS서비스 네트워크 기반의 전자정부 프레임워크 연구 : 토지종합정보망을 중심으로

        This study proposes a framework of a GIS service network to connect local governments'Land Management Information Systems(LMIS) together. Databases constructed far LMIS's are very crucial information on both administrative business and civil affairs administration. However, they did not give full play to their values because they could not be shared sufficiently. Local governments build their databases individually using diverse GIS solutions. It causes some problems on sharing them. To demonstrate their geniuses, they should be connected to each other within a network for the whole country, and are served whenever and wherever to people who require them. for this, there are two main problems to be solved. Firstly, a GIS service network that handles heterogeneous and distributed computing environments is organized to link every LMIS each other by the GIS service network vertically and horizontally. Secondly, a mechanism should be developed to access the GIS service network readily and to search GIS data efficiently. The needs from every types of user should be satisfied by the mechanism. As the result of investigation of the issues, one of the most possible solution was suggested in this study, which is a Web based approach. To take into account the advance of information technology in the future and the requirements of e-government, stepwise strategies that integrate the LMIS's into a Web based system was recommended.

      • 정보시대의 국가지리 정보체계 (8)-도시지하시설물 관리에서 지리정보시스템의 역할

        "GIS가 만들어지면 행정 및 국가전략기획, 사회조사 계획 등을 효율적으로 추진할 수 있다. 예를 들어 대구지역의 도시계획을 입안할 경우 지하철, 전화선, 전기배선망, 상.하수도, 도시가스 등을 한눈에 보면서 종합적인 일정을 마련할 수 있다. 대구시에서 구단위 동단위를 확대하면 불과 1cm 단위의 거리에 위치한 정보까지도 검색할 수 있다. 이 시스템이 진작 만들어졌다면 이번 대구 대형참사를 사전에 예방할 수 도 있었을 것이다." 이는 대구지하철공사장 가스폭발사고가 발생한 후 어느 신문에 게재된 기사중의 일부이다. 이 사고를 바라다보는 대부분의 전문가들은 GIS를 구축해야 한다고 말했다. 어떻게 들으면 GIS가 구축되지 않아 이러한 사고가 발생했다고 하는 말과 같이도 들린다. 이 기사는 사실 틀린 말이 아니라고 생각한다. 그러나 이 기사내용을 찜찜한 마음으로 쉽게 받아들일 수 없는 'GIS가 만들어지면'이라는 말 때문이다. 이런 찜찜한 마음이 어디에서 오는 것일까? 여기에서는 우리나라에서 지리정보시스템을 이용하여 도시지하시설물 관리체계를 구축하는데 어떤 문제가 있고, 지리정보시스템이 도시지하시설물 관리에 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는가를 살펴보고자 한다.

      • 토지정보시스템 구축의 영향요인과 성과요인의 상관관계 분석

        This study aims to suggest key strategy for successful establishment of LIS (Land Information System). Survey questionnaires on casual and outcome factors for LIS establishment are distributed to the LIS users and developers. Analysis results show that user participation has statistically significant, positive effect on business efficiency, user satisfaction, data sharing and services. Government support and developer technical skill are appeared to be the two important factors for improving the business efficiency and user satisfaction of LIS. Based on such results, this study suggests different strategies for successful development and implementation of LIS, including the definition of users' role and their proactive participation, visionary guide and support by government, cooperative relationship based government support and user participation, sufficient technology for land informatization. This study contributes to systematic organization of situational factors of South Korea's LIS towards its achievements. The results of this study could also be utilized for strengthening global competitiveness of the domestic geospatial information firms, in particular in supporting the development of land information projects in developing countries.

      • 요인분석을 이용한 기본공간정보 선정에 관한 연구

        Several countries have built National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) for information sharing among various fields. One of the important factors of NSDI is framework data, which is the most commonly used geospatial data across various fields. Previous studies on the framework data suggest components based on frequency survey and case study. However, such research methods do not have objectivity in setting the components of the framework data. This research uses factor analysis with 104 medium-level layers from the most widely used National Base Map and 5 layers from the other sources including cadastre and aerial image. Each layer is scaled with usage level as four different patterns of 1) background data, 2) reference data, 3) base data, and 4) other data, respectively. The analysis results show that the layers are grouped into 5 to 7 factors according to the patterns. ANOVA reveals that the mean differences between the factors with high values and the other factors with low values under each pattern are statistically significant. Such high value factors under each pattern consist of similar layers, close to identical, with those under the other categories. This research proposes framework data system, including transportation, building, hydrography, elevation, administrative district, digital orthoimagery, geodetic control, and cadastral based on the analysis results. Proposed framework in this research will be a basis of establishing spatial data sharing system. For sharing proposed framework data in various fields, these data must be established and distributed as actual standard and also related future researches should be performed.
