This research paper examines Yi Sun-Sin at Chung-Nam region and his footprints, achievements, and the spirits left in the road of Baek Eui Jong Gun. For a further study, historical heritages such as Sun-Yung graveyard where the Yi Sun-sin’s ancestors are buried, his grandparents’ home, the Gehaebawi (the Crab Stone) of Haeam-Ri village, Joong-bang po, Geumgok, and Bosanwon were closely analyzed. In addition, Yi Sun-sin’s spirit of Baek Eui Jong Gun was defined as Chung-Hyo spirit ‘the spirit of filial piety and patriotism’, ‘an invincible spirit’, and the spirit of Soonchunhyang. It was suggested to develop and put to practical use by designating the road from Yi Sun-sin’s house to the grave as ‘the road of loyalty’, from the Yi Sun-sin’s house to the Gehaebawi (the Crab Stone) of Haeam-ri as ‘the road of filial piety and patriotism’, and from Yi Sun-sin’s house via Geumgok to Bosanwon as ‘the road of wailing’. Through this, if one can acquire Yi Sun-sin’s Baek Eui Jong Gun spirits of Chung-Nam, which are Chung-Hyo spirit, ‘an invincible spirit and the spirit of Soonchunhyang, it will be a great help nurturing our future leaders.
