Successful deployment of the Software Defined Network (SDN) depends on its ability to cope up with network failures. There are various types of failures that may occur in an SDN. The most common are switch and link failures. It is necessary to recover the network from failures for a continuous service availability. But for the real-time services fast recovery from the failure is required to minimize the service disruption time. In the proposed work, we focused on minimizing the recovery time after the failure is detected. Once the failure is detected, the controller involvement is needed to dynamically reroute the failure disrupted flows from the failed component to an alternate path. The aim of the proposed scheme is to provide a traffic management scheme which can react to the dynamic network events by rapidly modifying the forwarding behavior of the switches for faster in-band network adaptability. The proposed scheme (1) Considers the shared data and control path delay (2) Optimally utilize the network resources (3) Eliminates the need of constant monitoring overhead at the controller which results into faster detouring and ultimately rapid recovery.

Data convergecast is an indispensable task for any WSN applications. Typically, scheduling in the WSN consists of two phases: tree construction and scheduling. The optimal tree structure and scheduling for the network is proven NP-hard. This paper focuses on the delay optimality while constructing the data convergecast tree. The algorithm can take any tree as the input, and by performing the switches (i.e. a node changes its parent), the expected aggregation delay is potentially reduced. Note that while constructing the tree, only the in-tree collisions between the child nodes sending data to their common parent is considered.
로우듀티사이클 환경을 고려한 무선센서네트워크에서 데이터 전송지연을 향상한 그리디 포워딩

본 논문에서는 로우듀티사이클 환경을 고려하여 목적지까지 데이터 전송의 신뢰성뿐만 아니라 낮은 데이터 지연도 보장하는 DIGF (Delay Improvement Greedy Forwarding) 기법을 제안한다. 초기에 제안된 그리디 포워딩 기법들은 무선링크가 갖는 비신뢰성 및 비대칭성의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 데이터 전송 성공률과 에너지 효율을 높이는 기법이 제안되었다. 하지만 많은 그리디 포워딩 기법들은 노드들이 데이터를 송수신하기 위해 대기하고 있는 수신대기상태로 인한 많은 에너지 소모를 고려하지 않아 네트워크 라이프타임을 감소시킨다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 제안기법인 DIGF 는 무선링크의 비신뢰성과 비대칭성을 고려할 뿐만 아니라 로우듀티사이클 환경을 고려한다. 또한 로우듀티사이클 환경을 고려할 때 발생되는 높은 수면지연성 (Sleep latency) 을 해결하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하여 낮은 전송지연과 신뢰성 있는 데이터 전송을 보장한다.

Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) is a network based IP mobility management protocol. PMIPv6 make sure that the IP address of the mobile node remains the same as long as the mobile node roams with in the PMIPv6 domain. A mobile node roams with in a PMIPv6 domain. PMIPv6 protocol doesn’t provide the mobility support once the mobile node moves from one PMIPv6 domain to another PMIPv6 domain. This paper proposes a Software Defined Networking (SDN) based PMIPv6 scheme which provides the mobility support for inter PMIPv6 domain movement of mobile node. In the proposed architecture each PMIPv6 domain has a SDN controller and SDN controllers from different domains communicate with each other to share the mobility information.

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a powerful technique in data analysis and widely used to detect anomalies in Wireless Sensor Networks. However, the performance of conventional PCA is not high on time-series data collected by sensors. In this paper, we propose a Joint Exponential Smoothing and Trend-based Principal Component Analysis (JES- TBPCA) for Anomaly Detect ion which is based on conventional PCA. Experimental results on a real dataset show a remarkably higher performance of JES-TBPCA comparing to conventional PCA model in detection of stuck-at and offset anomalies.
비신뢰성 링크를 가진 로우 듀티사이클 무선센서네트워크 환경에서 향상된 동적 스위칭 기반 플러딩 방법

Duty-cycling could efficiently prolong the life time of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) by let nodes be in dormant state most of the time, and only wake up (for sending or receiving) for a very short period. Flooding is one critical operation of WSNs. Many studies have been studied to improve the delay and/or energy efficiency of flooding. In this paper, we propose a novel time slot design, and the switching decision that reduce energy consumption for the schedule-based flooding tree. Each node, if failed to receive from its parent, will look for other candidate, among its siblings to overhear the flooding packet. By accurately collect information from other siblings, each node can make the best as possible switching decision; therefore the energy efficiency of the network is improved.
