LED 조명은 장수명과 에너지 절감이 대표적인 장점이며, 선박에 사용하기 위해서는 육상용과 달리 진동 내구성이 요구되고 있으나, 관련 규격의 부재로 적용과 상용화에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 LED조명기구의 선박 적용을 위해 선박 운항환경에서의 진동 내구성에 대한 요구기준에 대해 분석하였다.

We carried out a comparative analysis of electrical and optical characteristics for a low- and a medium-pressure ultra violet (UV) lamps to choose the best fitted lamp as a function of ballast water capacity. A 8 [W], a 10 [W], a 24 [W] (3×8 [W]), low- and a 3.5 [㎾] medium-pressure UV lamps were used in the experiment, and the UV intensity were measured as a function of distance from the lamp under sea-water. The UV intensity of lamp surface per unit were 32.3 [W/㎡] for 8 [W], 50.5 [W/㎡] for 10 [W], 158 [W/㎡] for 24 [W] and 107.8 [W/㎡] for 3.5 [㎾]. Also, the UV intensity per unit power were 35.61 [J] for 8 [W], 122.77 [J] for 10 [W], 224.69 [J] for 24 [W] and 1.47 [J] for 3.5 [㎾].

In this paper, we analyzed the disinfection performance of a 10 ㎥/h pilot ballast water treatment system (BWTS). Based on the experimental results, we manufactured a disinfection chamber which is composed of UV-LED modules and low-pressure UV lamps. The rated power and the treatment capacity of the chamber are 590 Wand 10 ㎥/h, respectively. From the test result, the disinfection performance is 100 % for zooplankton, and phytoplankton.

This paper presents the design guide of LED luminaires to supplant fluorescent lamp (FL) luminaires for naval vessels. Several standards related to marine luminaires were considered and electrical, optical, and environmental requirements were analyzed. Based on the study results, we proposed a design concept of LED luminaires which can save power consumption by 43~51 [%] and can increase luminous flux up to 7~10 [%].

This paper dealt with the measurement and analysis of electromagnetic waves generated by partial discharges in insulation oil to develop insulation diagnostic techniques for power transformer. Two types of narrow-band monopole antennas with the resonant frequency of 500 MHz and 1 GHz were designed and fabricated. We simulated defects which consist of a needle electrode with curvature radius of 10 μm and a plane electrode with diameter of 60 mm in insulation oil. From the experiment the maximum output voltage of the fabricated antennas was measured; 620 mVmax for 500 MHz resonant frequency and 920 mVmax for 1 GHz resonant frequency.

In this paper, we described the disinfection performance by Ultra-Violet (UV) lamp for a Bacteria (aerobes, E.coli, coliform) as the basic study for the development of a low-energy consumption ballast water treatment system. The experiment was carried out in a chamber which can flow sea water of 10 [㎥/h], and the disinfection performances between a 2-2[㎾] medium pressure UV lamp and a 9-10 [W] low pressure one were compared. The result showed no difference between them as over 98[%] in the disinfection rate.
