오늘날의 욕실은 현대화로 점차 개인화, 고급화되고 있다. 그리고 목욕은 신체의 청결뿐만 아니라, 개인적 휴식의 공간으로 인식되고 있다. 우리나라는 비교적 저렴한 수도요금과 절수에 대한 인식의 부족으로 물을 아껴 쓰지 않는 경향이 있다. 하지만 세계적인 흐름에서 물을 또 다른 자원으로 보는 인식이 커지고 있다. 기존 욕조의 경우 1회 물 소비의 량은 약 100리터 이다. 단순히 절수의 목적으로 욕조의 크기를 축소한다면, 기존 욕조에서 느끼는 안락감과 편의성이 떨어질 것이다. 그리고 설치 공간, 시공방법에 대해서도 문제점이 발생을 할 것이다. 기존의 설치 공간 내에서 인체공학적인 디자인을 통하여 안락감과 편의성을 유지하며, 절수형 욕조에 관한 디자인 연구를 하고자 하였다. 기존 욕조의 자료조사 및 분석을 통하여 현 욕조의 현황을 파악하고 인체공학적 디자인으로 절수형 욕조를 제안 하고자 한다. Today"s bathroom is becoming more personalized and luxurious due to the effects of modernization. Bathroom is regarded as the place for personal rest as well as for body cleanliness. In Korea people tend not to save water because of relatively cheap water rates and lack of awareness of saving water. However, the global trends are, more and more, regarding water as another resource . As for previous bathtubs, their water consumption at a time is about 100L. If the size of the bathtub should be downsized for the purpose of saving water, the comfort and convenience that those previous bathtubs provide would be reduced. Besides, there would be other problems such as installation space and construction methods. This study aimed to investigate the design of water saving bathtubs within the existing installation space by maintaining the comfort and convenience with the ergonomical design. By collecting and analyzing data on previous bathtubs, the present study intends to determine the present state of existing bathtubs and to propose water saving bathtubs with the ergonomical design.
