        For simple later analysis of flat plate system, equivalent frame method(EFM) and effective beam width method(EBWM) are usually used for lateral analysis. But they can be applied only for the system with regular column layout;they could not be easily applied to the irregular column layout. Also simplified equivalent beam model is used to average of the column size to the irregular column. But It could not be consider the column side ratio. A suggested analysis method is proposed for the flat plate system with irregular column layout with the column side ratio for lateral load, which is based on EBWN. To check the accuracy, the proposed method is compared with FEM modeling of which column zone is rigidly connected to column center. Three types are selected for the numerical comparisons; 1₁/1₁=1.0, 1.5, 2.0. And five column side ratio are selected for the numerical comparisons;c₁/c₂=O.25, 0.36, 0.49, 0.64, 0.81. Each building is 20 stories and story height is 3.0m. The proposed method shows good agreement with the FEM analysis in case that 1₁/1₂=1.0. And in case that 1₁/1₂=1.5 and 2.0, the proposed method shows safe analysis.
