이 연구는 요보호 아동의 표류(drift) 경험을 이해하기 위해, 현재 양육시설 및 그룹홈에서 보호되고 있는 아동들 중 여러 보호유형을 경험한 아동6명을 대상으로 질적 사례연구 방법을 적용하여 분석한 연구이다. 연구자들은 이러한 과정을 통해 먼저 요보호 아동의 표류를 이들이 원가족을 벗어난 후 경험하는 확대가족과 시설, 시설과 시설 사이에서 정착하지 못하는 과정 전체를 포괄하는 표현이라고 이해하였다. 그리고 요보호 아동의 표류과정을 "불안정한 진수(進水): 체계로의 표류", "정박할 곳을 찾아 헤맴: 체계내의 표류", 그리고 "임시 정박에 성공함" 등으로 구분한 후 이를 다시 각각의 하위 범주로 나누어 제시하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 결과를 토대로 요보호 아동의 표류 경험을 막고 아동보호의 안정성과 일관성을 확보하기 위한방안을 제시하였다. The aim of this study is to understand the care drift experiences of at-risk children after the dissolution of the original family. This study applied a qualitative case study method; and selected six at-risk children who experienced various types of care and who are currently raised in residential care institutions or group homes. Through this process, we were able to understand the care drift experience as a process of which at-risk children were separated from the original family, moved to extended family and residental care institutions, and drifted from one care situation to another; and they were not able to settle during the entire process after separation. The results of the data analysis were as follows: The care drift experiences of at-risk children consisted of "unstable launching: a drift to the care system", "finding a place to anchor: a drift within the system", and "succeeding in temporary anchoring". The implications of the study findings for child welfare were discussed to prevent the care drift of at-risk children and to ensure the stability and consistency of care.

The problems of cities in modern civilization have been hot issues in literary studies. Quite recently literary and cultural theories have deeply concerned with space, culture and subjectivity in the literary works. In reading those spaces of capitalist cities, like London in Great Expectations and New York in The Great Gatsby, we can get closer to understanding many conflicts around modern cities, in which the consciousness of subjects is controlled by a variety of cultural effects from the city space with an exchange value. The aim of the paper is to examine the possibility of the trans-disciplinary approach to reading spaces in the novel through the so-called ‘consilience’ with the space theory in the social studies. In Production of Space, Henri Lefebvre, a French Marxist philosopher and theorist of space argues that the history of human beings has developed the four major spatial stages ‘absolute space’, ‘historical space’, ‘abstract space’ and ‘differential space.’ He claims that modern cities are ruled by the effects of the ‘abstract space’ in which modern thoughts have been developed with the rising of capitalist cities. Both London and New York are well-known as core cities where capital has been accumulated in the nineteenth and twentieth century. There have been many problems and conflicts appeared in the capital cities that spearhead cultural features and effects. In this article, the practicable approaches are also analyzed to view the problems existing in the city by comparing the two characters and the spaces of two cities in novels with “spatial practices” from Lefebvre`s theory of space.

The sound quality characteristics of refrigerator noise in an anechoic chamber and in a real living environment for 30 models of refrigerators were investigated. Subjective evaluation experiments were conducted to determine subjective tolerance level for refrigerator noise. Refrigerator noise was played from a loudspeaker at the position normally occupied by a refrigerator in a real living environment. A nine-point scale was used to measure subjective satisfaction of the sound pressure levels for refrigerator noise. Point 3 on the scale corresponded to a sound pressure level of about 30 dB(A). Seventy percent of the participants were satisfied with this level of refrigerator noise. A semantic differential test was also conducted to evaluate the sound quality of refrigerator noise. From the results of correlation and multiple regression analyses on the psychoacoustical parameters and subjective evaluations of 30 refrigerators, sound quality indices which predict the subjective rating score were proposed.

This study was performed to investigated the effects of coastal fishing ground by sewerage effluents. Mainly seawater quality and sediment was estimated by diffusion Model(Princeton Ocean Model). It can be shown that there is no significant seasonal variations of effluent quality in this sewerage plant and COD concentration of seawater was a little effected by sewerage effluents. T-N concentration of outfall station was 22.3ppm, far from 200m of outfall station, T-N concentration was very quickly decrease to 0.053ppm and in case of T-P concentration of outfall station was 3.6ppm, far from 800m of outfall station, T-P concentration was decrease to 0.0055ppm.
