의미적 신어의 생성 과정과 사회문화적 의미 -남북한에서 사용되는 ‘긴장(緊張)’과 ‘갈등(葛藤)’을 중심으로-

본 연구는 한국어에서 나타나는 의미적 신어의 생성 과정과 사회문화적 의미를 살펴보고자 하는 데에 그 목적이 있었다. 이를 위하여, 한국어 어휘 ‘긴장’과 ‘갈등’을 중심으로 의미적 신어의 생성 과정을 시기별, 언어사회별로 고찰하여 그 동인을 사회문화적 맥락을 통해서 밝히고, 더 나아가 의미적 신어 연구의 방법론을 모색하고자 하였다. 2장에서는 자료의 성격을 기술하고, ‘긴장’과 ‘갈등’ 그리고 이를 포함하는 어휘의 출현 빈도를 제시하고, 분석 대상 어휘를 한정하였다. 3장에서는 ‘긴장’과 ‘갈등’의 사전적 출현 양상을 제시하고, 그 뜻갈래의 유형을 제시하였다. ‘긴장’의 뜻갈래는 ‘심리적 긴장’, ‘상황적 긴장’, ‘물리적 긴장’으로, ‘갈등’의 뜻갈래는 ‘관계적 갈등’과 ‘심리적 갈등’으로 유형화하였다. 4장에서는 남북한의 언어사회에서 의미적 신어의 출현 양상과 그것의 사회문화적 의미를 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 분단 이후 남북에서 의미적 신어의 생성 과정을 계량적 분석을 통하여 객관적으로 검증하고자 하였고, 나아가 그 근본적인 동인이 언어 내적인 요인이 아닌 사회문화적인 요인에서 비롯되었음을 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the process of generating semantic neology and the socio-cultural meaning that appear in Korean. This study is to examine the process of generating semantic neology for the Korean vocabulary 'ginjang' and 'galdeung' by period and language society to clarify the drivers through socio-cultural context, and further to seek a methodology of semantic neology research. Chapter 2 describes the characteristics of the data and presents the frequency for quantitative research. Research data were selected by limiting the scope of the discussion. Chapter 3 presents the dictionary appearance patterns of vocabulary related to 'ginjang' and 'galdeung'. It was divided into 'psychological ginjang', 'situational ginjang', and 'physical ginjang' as types of 'ginjang'. It was categorized into 'relational galdeung' and 'psychological galdeung' as a type of galdeung'. Chapter 4 examines the emergence of semantic neology and the socio-cultural meaning that reflects the language society of the South-North Koreas. In this study, the process of generating semantic neology was objectively examined and verified that the cause stems from socio-cultural meanings, which are extrinsic factors in Korean language.

본고는 북한어 개념 정립의 필요성을 제안하고 북한어가 가지는 기준을 마련하여 그 개념을 정립하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 위하여 2장에서는 북한어의 개념을 남한어와 대비하여 살펴보고 북한어의 개념을 규명하기 위한 기준의 필요성을 논의하였다. 3장에서는 남북한 언어를 구조화하여 6가지 기준에 따라 북한어의 개념을 살펴보았다. 북한어가 갖추어야 할 조건으로 지역적 기준, 시간적 기준, 어휘적 기준, 의미적 기준, 어휘 형태적 기준, 언어 정책적 기준을 제시하고, 이러한 기준을 바탕으로 북한어의 개념을 정의하였다. This study discussed the necessity of establishing the concept of the North Korean language and established the criteria of the North Korean language. Chapter 2 examined the concept of the North Korean language against the South Korean language and discussed the need for criterias to identify the North Korean concept. Chapter 3 established the concept of North Korean language based on six criteria by structuring the language of the North-South Koreas. The six conditions that the North Korean language should have presented regional, temporal, lexical, semantic, lexical form, and language policy criteria. Although there have been considerable North-South Korean studies, the concept of North Korean has not been specified, and the this study established the concept and criterias of North Korean language.
