갈등이슈에 대한 지역 언론의 보도 비교 연구: "행정구역 통합" 관련 경남,전북,충북 지역 종합일간신문을 대상으로

이 연구는 지역의 갈등이슈에 대하여 지역 언론들은 어떻게 접근하고 보도하는지를 사례분석을 통해 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. `행정구역 통합` 이슈는 2009년 하반기에 통합 대상 지방정부 간 또는 중앙과 지방정부 간, 지방정부와 지역주민 간, 통합 찬성과 반대 주민 간 등 전국 해당 지역에서 동시에 일어났던 갈등적 이슈이었다. 이 연구는 이러한 `행정구역 통합` 추진 과정과 결과가 다르게 나타난 세 지역 언론의 보도를 비교 분석함으로써 지역 언론의 갈등 이슈 보도에 대해 논의하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 통합에 성공한 경남의 창원시·마산시·진해시, 통합이 무산된 전북의 전주시와 완주군, 통합이 지연되고 있는 충북의 청주시와 청원군의 통합 추진 과정을 각각 다루었던 『경남신문』, 『전북일보』, 『중부매일』의 보도를 비교 분석하였다. 양적 내용분석 방법으로 진행한 이 연구에서는 각 신문의 `행정구역 통합` 관련 기사의 보도량·기사 가치·게재면·취재원 유형, 기사 제목의 형식과 내용, 그리고 기사의 전달 방식과 내용 등을 측정하였다. 연구결과, 세 신문은 다 같이 `행정구역 통합` 관련 기사를 지역의 주요 의제로 다루었으나, 일반주민들 보다는 지방정부 등 공식 취재원에 의존해 보도하였다. 신문별로 보면, 『경남신문』은 행정구역 통합모델을 어떻게 정립할 것인가에 대한 지역사회의 관심사를 적극적으로 보도하면서 정부 정책의 추진 과정을 객관적으로 비판한 것으로 분석되었다. 『전북일보』는 통합을 둘러싸고 벌어지는 찬성과 반대 세력의 갈등 양상을 적극적으로 다루며, 행정구역 통합을 찬성하는 시각에서 보도함으로써 비교적 주관적인 경향을 보였다. 『중부매일』은 이들 두 신문에 비해 상대적으로 소극적이면서 객관적인 보도 태도를 취하였다. 이러한 지역신문들의 보도의 차이는 해당 지역 주민의 관심사와 이해관계, 언론사의 입장 등이 반영된 결과로 추정된다. This study compared the reports of local newspapers on conflict issue. The problem on reoraganization of local administrative district was one of hot issue recently in Korea. Three local Korean daily newspapers were analyzed for this study; the Kyongnam Shinmun, the Jeonbuk Ilbo and the Joong-Bu Maeil. The study looked the news value, the character of the source, the headlines of the articles and the contents of the articles by the contents analysis method. The results were as follows: The Kyongnam Shinmun showed active and objective coverage, the Jeonbuk Ilbo showed active and subjective coverage. The Joong-Bu Maeil showed passive and objective coverage. The study is highly significant because it compared and analyzed the content of the reports of three local Korean daily newspapers on the problem on reoraganization of local administrative district.

인터넷 뉴스에서 기사의 예시 제시 방식과 내용이 뉴스 소비자의 이슈 지각에 미치는 영향

Recently the video embedded news(VEN) which is multimedial is becoming popular from domestic Internet news. Does the VEN influence the issue perception of the news consumers as compared to photograph embedded news(PEN) or text only news(TON)? With exemplification theory, this study aimed to answer this question. This study defined video clips in the Internet news as a kind of exemplar. The study examined whether, compared to PEN or TON, VEN should have given an effect to issue perception. This study uses the pre-test & post-test experimental method. It drew up 18 experimental news articles and it produced 6 experimental Internet news website. Each website was loaded with 3 articles that the presentation mode and the contents of exemplar are different. A total of 267(144 male and 123 female) undergraduate students at Chon-buk National University in Korea participated in the experiment. The findings of this study indicated that the presentation mode of exemplar didn’t influence issue perception. But this study revealed that the contents of exemplar influenced the perception of social issues. The latter result adds support for the assumptions of the exemplification theory. This study provided that future research should continue interest in the VEN and exemplification theory in Korea.

TV시사다큐멘터리의 서사 비교연구: "트랜스젠더" 주제 <추적60분> <그것이 알고 싶다>를 중심으로

이 논문은 동일한 소재를 다룬 한국 텔레비전 시사다큐멘터리 프로그램 2편의 서사구조를 비교·분석하고, 그에 따른 현실재현 방식을 논의하고 있다. 비슷한 시기에 ``트랜스젠더``라는 소재를 방송한 KBS <추적 60분>과 SBS <그것이 알고 싶다>의 서사구조를 이야기 분석과 담론분석을 통해 비교·분석하고 현실재현 방식을 살펴본 결과, 트랜스젠더 문제를 다룬 두 프로그램의 서사구조와 현실재현 방식에 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. <추적 60분>은 연예인 등 다양한 트랜스젠더들이 개인적 또는 사회적으로 겪는 문제를 자세하게 나열하면서 객관주의와 사실주의에 충실했는데, 구체적인 해결책은 제시되지 않았다. 그리고 일부 트랜스젠더와 주변 인물들 간의 갈등과 여성성이 강조된 선정적인 내용을 부각하면서, 트랜스젠더의 현실을 부정적인 면에 초점을 맞추어 재현하였다. 10대 트랜스젠더 문제에 집중한 <그것이 알고 싶다>는, 트랜스젠더의 원인을 규명하고 학교와 사회에서 이들을 돕는 실례를 보여주며 갈등보다는 화해를 강조하면서, 트랜스젠더의 현실을 긍정적인 측면에 초점을 맞추어 재현하였다. <그것이 알고 싶다>의 서사와 현실재현 방식은 트랜스젠더를 비롯한 소외집단을 다루는 기존 시사다큐멘터리와는 차별화된 시도로 분석되었다. 그러나 <그것이 알고 싶다>에서도 사회 제도적인 해결책은 제시되지 않은 채 트랜스젠더 문제가 주변 사람들의 보호와 사랑만 있다면 모두 해결할 수 있다는 신화를 보여주고 있다. This article tries to investigate the narrative structure and the representing reality convention of two TV current-affairs documentaries on the trans-gender in order to reveal the way in which a same issue is differently framed in same genres. For this purpose, this study compared the narrative structure of KBS`s <In-Depth 60Minutes> with that of SBS`s <We Want to Know That!> on the trans-gender. As a result, the narrative structure of two TV programs and, the realities of the trans-gender represented in two TV programs were different. <In-Depth 60Minutes> enumerated many case of the trans-gender and embossed the troubles of the trans-gender, with a sensational perspective. On the other hand, <We Want to Know That!>, focusing on the teenage trans-gender, placed great weight on a positive attitude of family and neighbourhood toward trans-gender which highlighted reconciliation between them. However, it is problematic that both programs fails to do deal with social, institutional solution of trans-gender issue.
