Malignant hibernoma, also called round cell liposarcoma, is a subtype of liposarcome. It is composed of so-called mulberry cells with scanty stroma. The characteristic mulberry cell has a centrally located nucleus and multivaculoated foamy cytoplasm in which eosinophilic fat droplet granules are contained. The authors experienced a case of malignant hibernoma. The patient, 16-year-old male, had a slowly growing nontender firm solitary subcutaneous mass on the center of chin for about 6 months. He hadn't episode of trauma or exposure to X-ray irradiation on the chin. Histopathological findings of punch biopsied skin specimen revealed compact mulberry cells intermingled with normally matured fat cells in the deep dermis and muscle layer, but there were neither significant infiltrations of lymphocyte nor myxoid changes. The tumor mass was totally removed including surrounding tissues as much as possible. The surgically removed tissue specimen revealed brownish discoloration in the center. Histopathologically, it revealed numerous capillaries and massive extravasated erythrocytes like a hemangiona, just beneath the hibernoma mass. There was no evidence of local recurrence or metastasis during 2.5 years of post-operative observation.

Sinus tract of dental origin is a syndroma rather than a disease entity, which is composed with periapical abscess, sinus tract, and granulomatous skin changes at the opening of the tract. It has been reported more frequently in dental or surgical fiedls than dermatological field. Recently. authors found a case of sinus tract which was originated from a periapical abscess to the skin. The patient, 41 year-old male. who has been suffered from long standing solitary papule with discharge on the right chin, visited dermatological clinic on July 21 1979. About 2 years ago, a subcutaneous abscess developed on the right chin. It became fluctuated and then ruptured. After pus drainage, intermittent seropurulent discharges have been noted, instead of healing. (countinued...)

Partial lipoatrophy is a relatively rare disease characterized by depression in certain areas of body due to absence of subcutaneous fat tissue. In the typical case, the face is affected first, and gradually spreads to the upper half of the body. Recently, Imamura et al reported an atypical form of pa,rtial lipoatrophy characterized by involvement of abdomen and neighboring regions and centrifugal enlargement of the lesions with re4dish and scaly change in the surrounding area. They proposed. the name lipodystrophia centrifugalis abdominalis infantilis for this disorder. The authors reported two cases of partial lipoatrophy similar to the cases of Imamura et al. Case 1 was 5 year-old female with depressed lesions on the lower abdomen, inguinal areas, and around the external genital and perineal areas. Eliopsy specimen showed absence of subcutaneous fat tissue. Case 2 was 5 year-old. female with depressed lesions on the left lower abdomen and inguinal region Biopsy specimen showed decrease in subcutaneous fat and inflammatory infiltrates in the dermis and subcutis.
