페이스북(Facebook)의 사용 대표적인 목적 중 하나는 사회적 자본(social capital)을 유지하고 기존의 관계를 지속시키는 것이다. 또한 사용자들은 자신의 프로필을 그들의 오프라인의 관계를 대상으로 업로드 한다. 이전의 연구에 따르면, 관계의 친밀도에 미치는 가치로 정서적 지원, 인터랙션의 빈도, 동종 친화성 등이 밝혀진 바 있다. 이에 연구는 이러한 가치들을 데이터화 하여 분석하고, 페이스북(Facebook) 오픈 API 를 활용함으로써 사용자들의 관계의 형태와 그 변화를 시각화한다. 이를 통해 향후 관계의 친밀도에 대한 가치들에 따른 개인의 네트워크 구조 변화 형태를 분석하고, 잠재적으로 가상과 오프라인을 넘나드는 사용자들의 관계 사이의 효율적인 커뮤니케이션 향상을 기대한다. One of the main purposes of Facebook usage has been proven to maintain the social capital and existing relationship from the past. Moreover, users primarily upload profiles on Facebook considering their offline connection. Studies have examined strong ties in relationships generates a high level of intimacy all over the values such as emotional supports, frequent interaction, activity exchanges, and homophiles. Accordingly, the study mainly analyzes the data of each value within the relationship and suggests the visualization of those relationships by using open API on the Facebook. Hence, the study looks forward to examining individual's network structure to evolve within time depending on different values on the close relationship. After all, such structural relationship visualization is potentially anticipated to enhance users to efficiently maintain their network cutting across the virtual and offline relationship.
