To estimate welding residual stress distribution, measurement and calculation were done for 2 types of model, thin and thick plates. The residual stress around the welding bead was measured with Barkhausen method. For the numerical calculation commercial program ANSYS was used. The results of measurement and calculation show that Satoh's formula for calculating residual stress of butt weld estimates longer distance of the location of maximum compressive stress and wider range of residual stress zone. According to the results a formula modifying Satoh's for estimating the residual stress of butt welding was proposed.

Simulation technology for dynamic analysis of wind turbine is developed. The Aerodyn and the DAFUL are chosen for aerodynamic analysis and multi-body and flexible body dynamics respectively. Subroutines and variables of Aerodyn developed by NREL are analyzed with hub-height wind data, full field turbulent wind data and Airfoil data. The interface to perform coupled analysis between AeroDyn and DAFUL, GUI for modeling several parts of wind turbines are developed. The program will be extended to analyze the coupled analysis of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic behavior for floating offshore wind turbines.

On the prediction of global first-year ice loads

본 논문에서는 1년생 빙맥에 의하여 해양구조물에 작용하는 하중을 추정할 수 있는 모델을 제시하였다. 1년생 빙맥을 수면하부(keel), 수면상부(sail), 경화층(Consolidated layer)의 3 부분으로 나누어 각 부분에 의한 하중을 추정할 수 있는 방법을 논의하였다. 수면하부는 얼음조각(ice rubble)이 층으로 쌓여져 형성된 것이므로 수면하부에 의한 하중추정을 할 때 얼음조각을 선형 Mohr-Coulomb 재료로 생각하여 토질역학(soil mechanics)의 이론을 사용하였다. 수면상부에 의한 하중도 토질역학 이론을 이용하여 추정하였으며 경화층에 의한 하중은 Korzhavin식을 이용하여 추정하였다. 제시한 모델을 이용하여 빙맥하중 추정에 미치는 인자들의 영향을 검토하였다. A model and associated computer program was developed for a deterministic prediction of global first-year ice loads on offshore structures. The load caused by a ridge consists of load components arising from a consolidated layer, a rubble pile that develops in front of the structure and of the ridge keel. The ridge keel is considered as a layered accumulation of ice rubble, below the consolidated layer. The uppermost layer of the ridge keel can have a high apparent cohesion strength, due to ice blocks that are partially frozen into the consolidated layer.<br/> A soil mechanical approach is used to simulate the changes in the keel profile when a structure penetrates the ridge. Both vertical and inclined structures can be considered by the present model.<br/> A parametric study was made to determine how some of the uncertainties of the input parameters influence the global load evaluation. Therefore, it should be appreciated that the example calculations shown above do not represent actual ice load predictions for the example structure considered. It was found that the present lack of knowledge about the internal friction angle of the ridge keel represents a major source of uncertainty in ice load prediction. The computations also showed that the layered structure of the ridge keel may influence the keel load component considerably. The frictional resistance that develops at the rubble/structure contact area causes an increase in the ice load. The inclination of the structure has the same effect if the ice wall forces the ice rubble upwards during ridge penetration.

최근의 선박은 설계 단계부터 그 수명을 다할 때 까지 여러 가지 환경적인 측면이 중요하게 고려되어 제작되고 있다. 이 중 유조선의 좌초충돌에 의한 기름 유출사고는 심각한 해양오염의 일으키는 주요한 원인이 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 선박의 충돌해석코드를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 선박이 어떠한 손상을 입게 되는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 l05k 탱커모델을 구성하고 일련의 시리즈해석을 LS -Dyna3D로 해석을 수행하였다 연구수행은 먼저, 요소크기의 수렴성을 확인 하여 요소크기를 결정하였고, 좌초시나리오를 구성하여 해석한 후,결과를 분석하여 나타내었다. Out of these concern, oil spilt which is induced by grounding accidents is very critical reason of the ocean pollution Therefore, a series of quarter of 105k tanker model grounding simulations were conducted to analyze it 's characteristics for the accident. ship get using LS-DYNA3D. In this paper, to conduct whole simulations, a meshsize convergence test was carried out to determine appropriate meshsize for grounding test After the series analysis, These results were analyzed as each case.
북극해에서의 쇄빙시 국부 빙하중 계측 신호에 대한 파형 분석

본 연구의 목적은 빙해역을 운항하는 선박의 쇄빙시 깨진 해빙에 의해 선수부 좌현 외판에 작용하는 국부 빙하중을 계측한 신호의 특성을 조사하는 것이다. 한국 최초의 쇄빙연구선인 아라온호를 이용하여 2010년 8월초 북극해에서 실선 시험을 수행하여 선수부에 설치된 변형률 게이지로부터 국부적인 빙하중에 의한 신호를 계측하였다. 국부적인 빙하중에 의한 구조 응답 특성을 반영한 계측 신호는 전형적인 유체 충격압에 대한 하중-시간 이력과 다소 다른 특성을 갖는 것도 있음이 파악되었다. 본 연구에서는 계측 신호에 대한 시간 이력을 분석하고, 무차원화된 특성값들로 나타내었다. The aim of this study is to investigate the characteristics on the profile of local ice load acting on side shell of port side in bow part due to broken ice during icebreaking of ships in ice covered waters. The first Korean icebreaking research vessel 'ARAON' had a sea ice field trial in the Arctic Sea during early August, 2010, and the signals due to local ice impact measured from several strain gauges installed at bow part were gathered. I t is known that these data with structural response characteristics due to local ice impact have some different characteristics with a typical hydraulic impact pressure - time history. In this study, the time history on the measured signals was analyzed and the characteristic values were presented using non-dimensional parameters.
A Study on the Characteristics of WindHydro - a Floating Wind Turbine Simulation Code

A floating wind turbine dynamic simulation program, 'WindHydro', is newly developed. In order to investigate the characteristics of the program, a series of loading cases are simulated such as (1) wind only case, (2) free decay cases with initial displacement, (3) wave only case (4) wind and wave case. The simulations are carried out for the 5-MW OC3-Hywind model which has a spar buoy and catenary mooring lines. As a result, the reliability of WindHydro is verified in most viewpoints although additional study is still necessary to clear out some uncertainty of the program.
