사상체질을 활용한 캐릭터 성격분석 툴 개발과 적용 사례연구 : 애니메이션 '토이스토리' 메인 캐릭터 분석을 중심으로

문화가 대규모의 상품시장을 형성하게 되면서, 문화산업의 중요성은 나날이 커지고 있다. 이러한 문화산업의 다양한 콘텐츠 중, 캐릭터는 원소스멀티유즈(One Source Multi Use)가 가능하여 그 활용도가 매우 높은 훌륭한 콘텐츠이다. 특히 애니메이션 작품에 등장하는 캐릭터의 경우, 설정된 플롯(plot)에 의해 스토리를 이끌어가는 역할을 담당함과 동시에, 관객으로 하여금 감정 이입의 대상이 되어 작품에 대한 몰입도를 높여주는 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있다. 이런 이유로 오늘날 애니메이션의 등장 캐릭터는 작품의 흥행을 좌우할 핵심요소로서 그 중요성을 인정받고 있으며, 학문적, 실무적 관점에서 캐릭터에 대한 유형화 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 애니메이션 등장 캐릭터의 성격분석과 관련하여, 인간의 성격유형 분석에 쓰이는 MBTI성격유형검사와 혈액형 등을 활용한 연구들이 캐릭터 성격분석에 대한 다양한 접근들을 제안하였다는 점에 착안, 우리고유의 학문인 사상의학의 체질별 성격적 특성을 활용한 분석툴을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 사상의학 체질론에 대한 선행연구를 바탕으로 분석 툴을 만든 후, 툴의 효용성 검토를 목적으로 애니메이션 역사에 큰 자취를 남긴 픽사((Pixar Animation Studio)의 애니메이션 토이스토리(Toy Story) 시리즈의 메인 캐릭터를 가지고 사례연구를 진행하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구가 애니메이션 캐릭터의 성격분석과 관련하여 또 다른 접근방법이 될 수 있으리라 사료되며, 캐릭터 제작 시, 성격설정에 도움이 되길 희망한다. Culture has been forming the extensive commodity market, the importance of is growing day by day. Among various contents in the field of cultural industry, character is a great content because it is possible to be OSMU(One Source Multi Use) so the applicability is very high. Especially, characters of the animation film serve as a guide of the story by set up plot and be the subject of empathy at the same time and therefore these work as the important factor that increases the immersion of movie. By these reasons, today's animation characters are recognized as the key factor of commanding a box office hit and the study on the character types is proceeding lively in point of learning and practical business. This study paid attention that some of studies using The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), blood type and others which is usually used for analysis of human's character type suggested various approaches on analysis of character's personality and will suggest the new type of analyzing tool using Korean Sasang physical constitutional categories of human's character. For this, I made the analyzing tool based on the precedent studies on Sasang constitution. To examine the tool's utility, after developing the tool, I conducted case study with the main characters of Toy story series, the animation films of Pixar Animation Studio which leaved a permanent impress upon the history of animation. Finally, this study would be another way of approaching analysis of animation character's personality and also be of help to set personality of character in pre-production.
