        절단된 지오데식 돔의 형상 균일화 알고리즘

        For practical purpose, geodesic dome is cut off at a suitable place in order to make it fit on horizon. If the dome is truncated along the great circle, it sits on the ground. But except this case it would not sit on the ground. So all nodes in the lowest boundaries are transferred to the ground. This pattern effects a change of element lengths. The purpose of this study is to regularize the element lengths using a genetic algorithm. As the way of generating initial configuration, geodesic mathematics is introduced, then in carrying out genetic process we verify the method for the regularization. As a result of regularization, object configuration has more regular element lengths and is more economical than initial configuration.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of chaotic behavior and the stabilization for the structure through controlling chaos in both passive and active aspects. The structure showing complex and irregular behavior could be clarified with none of the classical algorithm. Therefore, in this paper, we examined the dynamic phenomena through strange attractor, Lyapunov exponent and Poincare map based on chaos theory. The chaos control is investigated by using Pyragas methods originally introduced by Ott, Grebogi and Yang. It could be carried out through the way in which the present trajectory is measured, predicted on the movements of the trajectory and got feedback by the amount of those, so to be stabilized from the unstable chaotic orbits. The analytical model is composed of three truss elements, having two springs and dampers on their joint with one roller-supported end under the transversal step loads. Observing the behavior with changing its initial open angle, spring and damping coefficient respectively we found the range of each factor under which it avoids chaotic behavior that brought to carry the passive chaos control, which was followed the active control by mentioned Pyragas methods.
