        For the last half a century, Korea has been experienced rapid economic growth and industrialization development. however they cause serious problems that environment pollution and energy shortage are appeared, and the biggest problem that we are now confronted are required solutions through allover the world. Now, Korea's energy consumption is the 10th in the whole world, Among them, energy for buildings, about 25% in the whole Energy which spend in Korea, is very serious. Especially, the energy consumption of school buildings which have heating & cooling system according to improvements of educational environment are rapidly increasing. These features are explicit III the University, Because it has lots of colleges and facilities for lecture, experiment, and research. Especially, electric power consumption account for 75 percent of energy consumption in educational institutions. Accordingly, it is important to understand and analyze the pattern of electricity energy consumption which is used. This study attempts to appoint the place which is one of university and to investigate the characteristics of energy consumption like electricity, gas, oil.

        It has been a serious problem to consume the energy of school buildings while increasing to use of heating & cooling system because of education environmental upgrades. Great attention has been shown to the problem of the university, so there are few reports of energy consumption about the university in korea. In the present paper we shall prepare materials for comparing efficiency of the energy consumption by catching on date of Kyungpook National University, which is suitable to have necessary conditions for the university. This study is made an analysis yearly, monthly typical energy consumption based on electricity, oil, gas consumption of Kyungpook National University. In case of electricity consumption for 5 years(2002-2006), it has shown an increase of 9% over last year. Electricity is used of main energy resource that is why not only the overall consumption but also energy consumption on July through September, December through February is well above average. Especially on the winter and summer season, the consumption of gas and oil is high. Water consumption is shown of regularly consumption, 700,000㎥, from 1998. The aim of this study is to find out materials how to use energy more effectively for the public through consumption pattern of the energy in the University.

At that time, Korea's energy consumption ranks 10th in the whole world. Among them, energy for buildings, about 25% of the total amount of energy consumed in Korea, is very serious. Especially, the energy consumption of school buildings, which have a heating & cooling system according to improvements of the educational environment, is rapidly increasing. These features are explicit in the University, Because it has lots of colleges and facilities for lecture, experiment, and research. In this paper, the energy consumption of Kyungpook National University which is at Daegu, Korea was investigated. This study attempts to appoint the place which is one of University and to investigate the characteristics of energy consumption like electricity, gas, oil. Using the investigation results, we can obtain the overall trend of energy consumption of the university and provide important data basis to guide rebuild and extend construction of school in the future.
