Electro-Active Paper (EAPap) is attractive as a bio-mimetic actuator due to its merits in terms of lightweight, dry condition, large displacement output, low actuation voltage and low power consumption. The performance of EAPap actuator however, is depending on environmental condition such as humidity and temperature. This paper deals with the performance test with environmental change. EAPap is made with cellulose by dissolving it into a solution and forming into a sheet. Thin electrodes are deposited on the cellulose paper to comprise an EAPap actuator. The performance of EAPap actuators is evaluated in terms of tip displacement, blocking force, electrical power consumption with the environmental conditions of humidity and temperature.
