In this study two controllers are proposed assuming that information is transmitted <br/> among vehicles in sequence. In order to prove the advantage of feedback information<br/> redundancy, a system controller using headway and relative closing speed information<br/> is compared to that using headway only. The latter is proven to be inferior to the <br/> former and produced unstable response in terms of headway error. It is shown that<br/> the combination of control gain could generate the exculsive domains defined as<br/> (1) unstable (2) stable but uncomfortable (3) stable and comfortable ride.<br/>

A strategy for the implementation of vehicle longitudinal control system in exclusive single lane HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) facility is presented. In order to facilitate the control technology, roadway structure is redefined by introducing infrastructures which include<br/> transition, steady-state and exit area. Potential capacity benifits and geometric requivements for HOV lane entranes are assessed by means of simulation. The simulation take into consideration several factors due to a mixture of different vehicle types that includes: (i) different vehicle acceleration rate. (ii) vehicle mass and length. The simulation result shows that the roadway capacity depends on the mixture of vehicle types and their splits.<br/>

The purpose of this study is to introduce the standard of the Performance and evaluation method for Multi Ball Bearing Slide Rail. The major evaluation criteria include deformation (for durability test). Due to the difficulties in assessing the deformation of each slides directly, performance of the whole rail was analized. From finite element analsys and beam theroy, deformation of the multi ball bearing slide rail was evaluated. The evaluation method is shown for the performance of the static deformation and pulling force of the Multi Ball Bearing Slide Rail.

This study is to predict the roundness of Numerical Control Machining Tool and set up a displacement error database so that helps the operator to choose the right machining conditions to produce a product within the given error limits. Principles of learning of neural network is mostly based in Backpropagation Theory. From this study. the base was set to setup the database to produce precisely machined product by predicting the rate of error in the fabrication facility which does not have the environment to analyze it.
