도시민과 이용객에게 편리한 Sign System 관한 연구 -화성행궁, 수원성을 중심으로-

현대사회는 공공디자인의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 보기에 흉한 시설물들은 또 다른 도시의 시각적 공해요소가 되어가고 있는 것이다. 이러한 시각적 공해를 제거하기 위한 선결과제로는 상황에 맞는 시설물의 설계와 시공이 필요하고, 아울러 문화와 휴식공간의 확보가 우선이며 그러한 것들의 시각이미지 제안에 따르는 사인체계의 개선이 필요하다. 도시의 팽창과 확대는 문화와 휴식공간의 두 가지 이점을 충족시키지 못하고 부분적 발달을 유도한다. 이러한 차이를 줄이는 대안으로써의 전통문화 공간은 도시민에게 매우 중요한 자리매김을 하게 되었다. 커뮤니케이션 시대의 시각정보 전달매체인 Sign System은 도시를 효율적이고 체계가 잡혀 있는 유기적인 형태를 만들어 주기도 하지만, 반대로 도시를 더 복잡하고 혼란스럽게 만들 수도 있다. 그렇기 때문에 활성화에 대한 새로운 모색이 필요하며, 그 대안으로써 효과적인 Sign System의 정비를 통해 도시민의 편리뿐만 아니라 관광객에게 지역과 도시를 인상 깊게 각인시킬 수 있는 계기가 된다. 따라서 기능적인 면에서 체계가 잘 갖추어야 할 뿐만 아니라 그 도시의 문화도 잘 반영된 미적 아름다움까지 갖추어야 하는 만큼 기존의 전통문화 공간 Sign System의 문제점을 조사하고 대안을 찾고자 한다. The public design has been emphasized in the modern society with the ugly buildings and structures being the visual pollutants in cities. It is required to secure the cultural and resting place before everything and to design and construct the suitable structures in order to remove such visual pollutants. It is also necessary to improve the sign system as per the visual image proposal. The expansion of cities has failed to meet the above-mentioned requirements, that is, the cultural and resting place, and just induced partial development only. As an alternative to close such a gap, the traditional, cultural place has played a very important role for the city residents. As the visual information medium in the communication society, the sign system makes the cities more organically effective and systematic but may worsen confusion and complication in cities. Therefore, it is required to try to find new way to activate the sign system by effectively improving it for city residents' convenience. If it is successful, the tourists will be deeply moved the during their stay there. In this study, an attempt has been made to look into the problem with the sign system in the traditional cultural place in order to find the solution, as it should be equipped with the aesthetic beauty with the reflection of the culture of the city while functionally and systematically available.
