Compaction grouting system, the method which makes ground compact by injection of low slump mortar, was developed in the 1950's to repair the foundation of settled structure. Now it is used widely for densification of the loose ground, repairing of the dam core where sinkholes happened and improvement of soft ground. In this study the relation between settlement of the ground and effect of injection by CGS was analyzed in the case where CGS was performed to stop the settlement adjacent to the structure. Field test were performed for analysis of the characteristics of ground improvement. Piezometer and inclinometer were installed for analysis of the characteristics of compaction in adjacent ground. The result of this study shows that CGS is effective method to stop the settlement of the ground.
