이산군 G 상에서 정의된 Fourier algebra A(G)와 같은 작용을 보이면서 lacunary 집합들의 성질과 특성을 이해하는데 있어서 아주 중요한 역할을 하는 공간으로 Banach공간인 C_(o)[G] 공간이 있다. C_(o)[G] 의 성질 중에 증명이 주어지지 않고 언급만 된 것으로 C_(o)[G] 는 l^(∞)(G) 의 부분공간으로 C_(o)[G] 내에서 translation invariant 하며 흔히 알고 있는 Banach공간 C_(o)(G)의 two-sided ideal 이라는 성질이 있다. 본 논문에서는 C_(o)[G] 가 자신의 공간 C_(o)[G] 내에서 translation invariant 하며 C_(o)(G)의 two-sided ideal 이라는 성질을 증명해 보인다. In this paper we prove that C_(o)[G] is a translation invariant in C_(o)[G] and two-sided ideal in C_(o)(G) when G is a discrete group.

G를 극소컴팩트군이라 하고 λ를 왼쪽 정칙표현이라 할 때, L^1(G)에 속하는 임의의 함수 f에 대하여 f의 C^*_λ-노름은 일반적으로 계산하기가 어렵다. 그러나 특별히f가 유한개의 G의 개 정규 부분군의 잉여류에 받쳐져 있을 때는 그 노름은 개산(estimate) 될수 있음이 알려져 있다. 이 논문에서는 특별히 G가 이산자유군이고 f가 특별히 받쳐져 있을 때는 보다 나은 f의 C^*_λ-노름의 개산을 얻을 수 있음을 보였다.

Lacunary set 가운데 Leinert set, Sidon set, 또는 weak Sidon set 등은 오래 전부터 많은 연구의 대상 이였다. 또한 이들 set에 대해서는 많은 결과들이 알려져 있다. 그런데 Lacunary set 중 amenable set에 대한 정의와 연구는 1981년 Bozejko[2]에 의해 처음 이루어졌다. 그리고 discrete group 상에서의 amenable set에 대해 일려진 사실은 두 amenable set의 합집합은 다시 amenable set이라는 성질과 amenable set은 translation invariant하다는 성질이며 이 두 성질들은 증명되어 알려져 있다. 본 paper에서는 Bozejko에 의해 처음 정의된 U-sidon set과 amenable set의 교집합이 amenable set이 됨을 보인다. 또한 Bozejko에 의해 증명 없이 언급된 특별히 주어진 amenable group 상에서의 amenable set의 존재성에 대한 사실을 증명해 보인다. 그리고 마지막에 amenable set에 관한 두 개의 open problem을 남긴다. In this note we show that the intersection of an amenable set and a U-Sidon set is an amenable set in a discrete group G. And we prove that every subset of an amenable group is an amenable set which is mentioned without proof in Bozejko. Also we leave two problems open.

Regular C -algebra Norm에 대한 고찰

F가 r≥2의 generator를 갖는 discrete free group이고 f∈1¹(F)가 적당한 조건을 만족할 때 C*-algebra norm을 계산하는 공식이 알려져 있다. 그 공식이 F가 infinitely generated free group인 경우에도 유효함을 보이고, r≥2가 반드시 필요한 조건임을 반례를 들어보였다. Let F be a discrete free group on r≥2 generators. Under a condition on f∈1¹(F), we have a formular in [3] for computing the regular C*-algebra norm of f. In this paper, we show the validity of the formula for an infinitely generated free group F and that the condition r≥2 is essential by giving a counterexample.

A Problem on U-sidon Sets in a Discrete Group

Discrete group상에서의 u-sidon set의 성질들을 알아보고, 그중 한 성질에 대하여 자세히 증명하였다. 이 증명으로부터 동기를 얻어 u-sidon set들의 합집합에 관한 기본적인 문제를 제기하였다. In this paper, we give a detailed proof of a property of u-sidon sets in a discrete group, and we propose a question on a finite union of u-sidon sets.

The purpose of thesis is to make the students who are not interested in athematics have interest in mathematics by using information & Communication Technology(ICT), to understand the nathematical principles, to know how close they are to us through data connected with real life and direct manufacturing and experiment of cyberspace, to solve the mathematics for themselves, and to make mathematics teachers develop and make use of ICT teaching-learning manual. Let’s see the following thesis for this purpose. First, it was divided into 8 teaching-learning activity types in connection with characteristics and educational use possibility of Information Technology. It was analyzed into concept, teaching-learning process procedures, and illustration for teaching-learning. Second, gathered and analyzed the scattered internet sites about mathematics, and made use of the intenet sites for teaching and learning mathematics. Third, for effective ICT teaching-learning. I chose the teaching-learning main idea, objectives and teaching-learning activity type. and I checked the aility to use information Technology and then chose the environment and media for information Technology. And then I planned the teaching-learning strategy. Fourth, I developed and applied the teaching-learning model using information Technology, and analyzed the results. This ICT teaching-learning activities brought interests for mathematics, accomplishment motivation, confidence about mathematics, and sense of superiority to the students. In addition to my student became active in mathematics class through this ICT teaching-learning activities.
