중소기업의 가업승계 결정요인이 지속가능경영에 미치는 영향

우리경제는 많은 창업 기업들의 경영자가 고령화 되면서 역동성을 잃어가고 있고, 기업들이 후계문제로 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이런 문제점을 인식하고 정부와 학계에서 많은 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 그 동안의 연구방향은 상속세와 증여세 등 기업의 금전적 부담을 덜어주어 후계가 원활히 이루어지도록 하는 연구가 주를 이루었다. 혜택을 받는 기업이 늘어나기는 했지만, 여러 가지 요인으로 인해 실질적인 도움을 받을 수 있는 중소기업은 많지 않은 상황이다. 세제지원을 통해 기업의 승계가 이루어지도록 하는 것은 한계가 있을 수밖에 없고, 기업이영속성을 갖도록 하기 위해서는 기업의 승계결정 요인들에 대한 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 이를 위해 중소기업 경영자가 기업을 승계하기 위해 필요로 하는 승계결정 요인들을 찾아보고 경제적, 사회적, 환경적인 책임활동으로 대변되는 지속가능경영에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고 연구하였다. 연구결과 경영자의 승계의지는 지속가능경영의 구성요인인 경제적, 사회적, 환경적 책임활동에 모두 유의한 영향을 미치고 기업가정신은 경제적 책임활동에서 조절효과가 나타나는 것으로 확인 되었다. 이번 연구를 통해 중소기업의 지속적인 발전을 위한 연구가 많이 이루어질 수 있는 기회가 될 수 있을 것이다. 우수한 기술을 갖고 있는데도 승계문제로 어려움을 격고 있는 중소기업에 실질적인 도움이 되고, 예전처럼 기업가정신이 충만한 대한민국으로 다시 돌아가 우리 경제에 활력을 불어 넣을 수 있는 정책마련에 도움이 될 수 있는 시금석이 될 수 있었으면 한다. Due to the aging of managers in start-up companies, our economy is losing dynamics while many corporations are facing the problem of successions. Recognizing this difficulty, multiple studies are being carried out by the government and the academia. However, the direction of past research has been on reducing monetary burden of companies as to ease succession. Beneficiaries have increased, but due to several factor, only few SMEs can receive real help. Tax benefits as an instrument of helping corporate successions has its limitations and studies on the deciding factors of corporate succession is required for a persistent growth. This study attempts to identity factors of corporate succession that can assist SME CEOs, and analyze their effects on corporate sustainability, which is represented by economic, social and environmental CSM. Research result showed that CEO s succession will have meaningful effects on CSM in terms of economic, social, and environmental aspect, that is, a subordinate factor of sustainable management, and that entrepreneurship has controlling effect on economic activity of CSM. This study will be an opportunity for future conduction of research on SMEs’ corporate sustainability. Hopefully, this inquiry will provide practical help to SMEs with excellent technology that face hardship due to succession issues and to the government so that it can create policies that bring the old entrepreneurship back to Korea..
