        The teaching materials of the natural science in the primary school, which is only the organ of the compulsory education in Korea, are enacted on the base of the curriculum of the science education in the Ministry of Education in 1955, and in that year, the chairman of the A E C of the U.S.A. Dr. Straus warned the apprehensions of the science education of the Soviet Union. The Soviet had been concentrating their whole energies on the science studies of all the school education to the college from the kindergarden since 1980, in the long run they had brought the effect entering into the orbit in 1957 Sputnik Which was the first artificial satellite in the world. Ahead of one year, the summer in 1956, the faculty of MIT Engineering College of America and the present teachers of the junior and the senior high schools discussed the improvement of the physical education, and its object was based on the philosophy of the direction containing the scientific spirit and contents, contributing to the human life, inspiring the human creative power, recognizing the fundamental principles of the natural science, aparting from the former teaching materials described in the idea of the life-scientific philosophy. Consequently, they came to the need about the reform of all the textbooks of the physics, at last they estblished PSSC by the subsidy of the Natural Science Foundation and published PSSC physics. Presently, over CHEM-Study and the system of the science and the mathematics in the high schools of CHEM-Study, CBA, BSCS, ESCP, SMSG, UICSM, we saw the active movement, and with IPS of the junior high school, ESS, AAAS, SCIS, ESSP, Nuffield, of primary school appeared, and these spirits were spread over to the college. Including England and Germany, in Japan, Free China, Philippines, and India, and in Korea they are Introduced, and PESC was organized, and PSSC are moving actively, but in the primary school, they cannot escape delaying steps yet. However, I am sure the reform will be achieved all over the natural curriculum within a few years, and I selected this subject attempting to use them together with the teaching, materials in the present days. In conclusion, I certify that comparing, examining, and analysis about these will bring a great deal of advantages in the education of the primary school in the Science Korea.

        현재까지 전력생산방식은 수력, 화력, gas에너지에 의해 발전된 것이 우리나라의 발전방식이였지만 계속 늘어날 수요량을 「커버」하기 위해 자연여건을 최대한으로 이용(수력)하기 위해 많은 「땜」건설과 설비를 갖추고 있지만 안동「땜」의 발전방식은 「상류」의 수량이 한정되어 있으므로 수요시간에 발전으로 사용된 수량을 비수요시간에 역조정하여 양수시켜 발전수면 160m를 유지시키는 특징있는 발전방식이다.

      • X-線 源으로서의 HCP와 DPF裝置의 特性

        x-ray sources for lithography have traditionally generated soft x-ray by electron bombardment of solid surface. It`s conversion efficiency of electrical energy to radiaton is less than 0.1% in the soft x-ray range. Thus, high electrical power is required for practical x-ray fluxes. The power input is limited by heating of the anode, which ultimately melts or deforms. Even with cooling, by nucleate boiling through high velocity turbulent water flow, conventional x-ray tubes are limited to about 5Kw of electrical power for a 3mm diameter spot. High brightness x-ray sources is storage ring, electron beams, laser focus, sliding spark, gas puff z-pinch, dense plasma focus (DPF) and hypocycloidal pinch (HCP) etc. Among these, DPF and HCP devices characteristics is a good candidates for a source of high throughput, high resolution x-ray lithography (XRL) and pulsed nature of the sources further enhance the prospect of XRL. DPF has been studied for the soft x-ray lithography and other strong light sources since early 1980`s. In this paper, the principle of the DPF and HCP devices as a soft x-ray sources, emission mechanism of DPF and HCP plasma, principle of x-ray absorption and electrical circuit characteristics are discussed.

        다차원척도법을 이용한 우리나라 퇴적암 유래토양의 분류 및 해설

        토양의 중요한 5가지 특성 즉, 지형, 배수등급, 유효토심, 토성(속), 자갈함량 등의 특성을 이용하여 이 5가지의 특성을 복합적으로 인지하는 것은 매우 어려 운 일이기 때문에 이들을 새로운 차원에 적용시켜 그연관성들을 보고자 다차원척도법(MultidimensionalScaling)을 이용하였다. 퇴적암 유래토양의 각 특성별 구분기준은 우리나라전체 토양에 대하여 단순화를 시도하였다. 즉, 지형요인은 15 → 9개로, 토성(속)은 32 → 6개로, 배수등급 은 6 → 5개로 축합하였고, 유효토심(4개) 및 석력함량(3개)은 그대로 분석에 이용하였다. 지형요인은 산악지, 구릉지, 산록경사지, 곡간지, 선상지의 5등급으로 분류되었으며, 토성(속)은 사양질, 식양질, 미사식양질,식질의 4등급으로 분류되었으며, 배수등급은 “매우양호", “양호", “약간양호", “약간불량", “불량"의 5등급 으로 분류되었다. 유효토심은 0~20, 20~50, 50~100,100cm 이상의 4등급으로 분류되었고, 자갈함량은0~10, 10~35, 35% 이상의 3등급으로 분류되었다. 전체적으로 eigenvector면에서 볼 때 2, 3사분면에서 1, 4사분면으로 갈수록(왼쪽에서 오른쪽으로) 산토양 쪽으로 가면서 토성도 세립화하는 것을 알 수 있었다. Eigenvalue측면에서 볼 때는 뚜렷한 경향을 찾아보기는 어려웠으나 eigenvector를 기준하고 그 내에서eigenvalue를 고려하면 그룹들간의 차이가 많이 나타 나는 것으로 보였다. 이와 같이 약간의 예외적인 토양이 분포함에 주시하여 분석인자의 가중치를 조정하거나, 인자의 가감등에 의하여 군집내의 동질성을 개선할 여지가 있었다. 또한 동일군집에 포함되는 토양들의 특성을 보다 면밀히 조사.연구하여 기존의 분류단위를 재고해야할 필요성도 인정되었다.

      • Production of Dense Plasma Foci in Hypocycloidal-Pinch as a Soft X-Ray Source

        고출력 HCP장치는 단반형 전극으로 되어 있으며 고정밀 사진식각용 광원인 연 X-선을 발생시킬 수 있음이 연구되고 있는바, 고밀 plasma 초점은 압축되고 가숙된 plasma에서 생성되는 전류 sheaths와 sheets에 의해 형성된다. 초점이 형성될 때의 plasma밀도는 10(18)el/㎤이상이며 온도는 1KeV정도가 되는바, 이때에 밝고 해상력이 좋은 X-선이 발생된다. A new type of high-power hypocycloidal pinch (HCP) apparatus consisting of disk electrodes was investigated as a possible soft-x-ray source for a submicron lithography. Dense plasma foci are produced on the axis by collapse of the current sheets which compress and heat the plasma. The density and the temperature of the plasma reach Ne>10^(18)/㎤ and Te~lKeV when the energy of 20KJ is applied on the HCP device.

      • 高出力 pinch 裝置에 依한 苦蜜 plasma 現象

        Hypocycloidal pinch apparatus consisting of disk electrodes was developed and diagnostic measurements was carried out, it`s mechanism of dence plasma production has been made. By the Stark broading and CO₂ laser absorption, a plasma density is 10^(18)cm^(-3) and plasma temperature is measured with differential transmission of soft x-ray through thin Be foils, its temperature is approximately 1kev. The advantages of hypocycloidal pinch apparatus are improvements in 1) plasma volume, 2) plasma stability, 3) plasma containment time, 4) access to additional heating by laser or electron beams, and 5) the possibility of scaling up to a multiple array for high - power operation.

      • 원자력발전에 대한 검토 : PWR형 발전소 한국건설을 앞두고

        The atomic power as the origin of energies has been already converted to the peaceful purposes, and each of the countries has been completely hurried its development as a second fuel. In Korea, the bill of the atomic power was made in Jan. 1956, so that we have seen the positive study with the introduction of the atomic plant, TRIG A MARK (II) for studying. The supplement problems of the motive power for the demand of electric power increased day by day, must be found out its solution on the atomic power being developed in the advanced countries than Hydraulic, Thermal, or Gas., etc. Nowadays the atomic pile used for the motive powers, which has been introduced to the many countries, has been developed at the resemble cost compared with the past electric power generation, so that its technical problems and the rationalization of the management will be achieved the wonderful development in the near future. According to such a remarkable development, in Oct. 1963, the preliminary investigators for the establishment of the atomic power plants were sent to Korea by the International Atomic Power Organization, and they researched if the establishment of the plants will be promising, and then they made Korea Electric Power Company constructed the two atomic power plants, one is 500MW in 1974 and the other 500MW in 1976. In the first place, the Westing House Company of America was decided to take charge of the construction from Jan. in 1970. In the reactor types, the first plant was chosen the type of PWR among the following... BWR(Boiling Water-type Reactor), PWR(pressurized water-type Reactor), AGR(Advanced Gas Cool-type Reactor),and HTGR(High Temperature Gas Cool-type).., and the prearranged place and the needed expenses were already estimated. Desiring that the atomic power plants built, during the year 1970-1976, will be a great reformable moments for the rapid couquest of the electric power shortage, I`m going to analyze and examine the technical and economic possibilities of the construction of the atomic power plants and the devices of the available enforcement in the Korean conditions. I chose the above subject on the base of data which I have been collecting in my odd times, and in closing, I hope this little study will be able to be added to the growth of the Science Korea with the development of the economy lately.

        The study of electroluminescence has been begun that the two germans, B. Gudden and R.W. Pohl in 1920 examined the remaining light by dint of adding electric field at the fluorescent substance and from 1952 the study became brisk, in 1960 made a peak and afterward it was diminished. In this paper, I am going to investigate voltage, frequency, and temperature depence of the EL-phosphors, and that introduce the brightness waves, spectral composition, effect of radiation on electroluminescence and EL-phenomena in various materials (SiC, 3-5 compounds, diamond, Ba, Sr, Cu_(2)O, organic compound etc.)

        이와 같은 종류의 분극은 주변령역에서만 집중되었다면 효과적일 것이나 정성적인 생각은 매질의 분극은 전장향상의 정도가 감소된다 할지라도 일련의 계단상이 성취된다면 적용될 수 있으며 이와 같은 계단분극은 Diemer와 Zalm에 의해 국부적 형돌전리가 일어날 것이라 제안되었다. 트랩되기 전에 전자는 양의 경제면을 향해 약간의 거리움직임의 과정에서 국부적 쌍극자가 형성되고 국부적 전장을 감소시킬 수 있다.
