In this paper, a system with sensor network security mechanism which can be applied to home network structure is designed and it is implemented on a virtual network of a home network middleware. The basic structure of home networking middleware supports one-to-one (unicast) or broadcast communication mode between the lookup server and service nodes on the network. Confidentiality and authentication are key security factors of the one-to-one communication and user authentication is crucial for broadcasting mode. One of the sensor network's security techniques SPINS consists of SNEP and ${\mu}TESLA$. The SNEP ensures confidentiality and authentication, and ${\mu}TESLA$ provides broadcast authentication. We propose a SPIN based home network middleware and it is implemented by using the CBC-MAC for MAC generation, the counter mode (CTR) for message freshness, the pseudo random function (PRF) and RC5 as encryption algorithm. The implementation result shows that an attacker cannot decrypt the message though he gets the secure key because of CTR mode. In addition, we confirmed that a received message of the server is authenticated using MAC.

The Grosmont Formation is a massive, organic-rich carbonate deposit that subdivides into upper (UG) and lower (LG) units. Geochemical analyses of Grosmont carbonate rocks collected from wells 10-12-93-24W4 and 11-33-94-22W4 allowed us to differentiate the depositional and diagenetic conditions for these two units. The UG unit subdivides into three subunits (UG1–UG3) and consists of fine- to coarse-crystalline and subhedral dolomite. The LG unit consists of dolomitic limestone and calcareous dolostone with medium- to coarse-crystalline, euhedral to subhedral dolomite and calcite. These units also include small amounts of quartz, illite, pyrite, K-feldspar and other trace minerals. Petrographic and geochemical analyses indicate that the LG unit formed under influence of clastic sediment input. Isotopic ratios for UG dolomites suggest precipitation within a near surface environment under evaporitic/ hypersaline conditions. By contrast, the LG dolomite may have formed in a diagenetic environment at salinities lower than those inferred for UG samples, according to observed isotopic ratios. Both UG and LG carbonates exhibit 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.7082 to 0.7086) and δ18O values (–4.03 to –6.09‰ PDB) that are consistent with formation from Devonian seawater at temperatures ranging from 44 °C to 57 °C.

The Grosmont Formation is one of the massive bitumen-bearing carbonate deposits located in Alberta, Canada. Two cores (10-36-81-17W4 and 1-16-92-21W4) were collected from middle-eastern part of the Grosmont Platform. Geochemical data from both these two drilling cores and previous studies were used to identify the diagenetic characteristics of dolomite within the Devonian Grosmont Formation, composed of four sedimentary units (UG3, UG2, UG1, and LG). Upper Grosmont units (UG3 and UG2) were affected by dolomitization events on the near surface condition, whereas lower Grosmont units (UG1 and LG) were formed on the relatively shallow burial condition. The dolomites were formed by dolomitizing fluid originated from Devonian seawater. Isotopic results imply that formation temperature of dolomites within the Grosmont Formation ranges from 30 to 60°C, relatively low temperature.
