The YIG thin films were grown by liquid phase epitaxy method with various growing temperature and rotating speed. The ferromagnetic resomance experiment was peformed to study the magnetostaticwave modes of the YIG thin films. The magnetostatic surface wave and backward volume wave modes show periodic excitations in the parallel configuration. The parallel spectra can be well explained by the Walker and Damon-Eshbach theory. It turned out that the saturation magnetization was 135 emu/㎤. The average line width of volume mode was 0.48 Oe at the best fabrication condition that growing temperature is 840℃ and rotating speed is 135 rpm.
