        현대 부모 - 자녀관계와 조선시대 부모 - 자녀관계의 관계

        Children`s textbooks and women`s manuals were used to investigate parent-child relationships under the Neo-Confucianism of the Chosun Dynasty compared with the present. Current practices of filial piety (Hyo) have changed but are still based on Neo-Confucianism. In present-day child rearing, parents aim to love their children (Ja-Ae) and to teach them Neo-Confucian values.

        보육계산 확보와 배분에 관한 분석

        본 연구는 보편적 아동을 위한 보육서비스의 관점에서 여성가족부의 2007년 보육예산의 확보와 분배에 대한 분석을 통하여 보육예산의 효율적인 사용을 위한 방안을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 분석결과, 현재 우리나라 보육재정 총람은 보육수요에 대하여 완전히 충족하지는 않았으나 적절한 재정이 확보된 것이며 보육재정 확보에 대한 법적 근거가 안정성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 보육재정은 지자체에 대한 배분에서는 공정하였으나 시설별 유형에 따른 배분은 불공정하였다. 또한 보육예산의 배분에서 공보육 기반마련과 부모의 육아부담 경감을 위한 재정배분이 주를 이루었으며 아동중심의 보육환경 조성을 위한 보육시설 환경 개선, 보육인력의 전문성 제고 및 처우개선을 위한 항목은 부족하였다. 따라서 앞으로의 중장기 보육계획의 목표달성을 위하여 더 많은 보육재정의 확보와 보육환경 개선과 보육 인력의 전문성 제고 및 처우개선을 위한 보육예산의 배분에 대한 고려가 요구되었으며 지방자치단체의 보육재정의 확보 및 배분에 대한 심층 분석을 바탕으로 한 공평하고 효율적인 배분의 개념화가 제언되었다. This study purpose to analyze the sufficiency, stability, efficiency and fairness of financial support for child care in Korea. For this study, the 2007 budget of the child care of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family was analyzed. The results are as follows: First, the total amount of the budget was sufficient. It was obviously not enough, but if the budget were used efficiently, it could be enough to support the quality care. Second, the budget was made by the Child Care Act. In this law, there are many provisions for financial support for child care. Third, the budget is evenly distributed among children who need care in society irrespective of their territories. But the children who attend public care centers can get 30 times more money from the government than children in private care because private care centers did not get the chance to get a financial support from the government. Fourth, the budget was not planned or used efficiently because does not support developingchild care quality but only aids families. The suggestions to improve financial support for child care in Korea were as follows. First, the first step is to develop the child care system to define what public work is because private care centers work as the main centers for the child. Second, the government should try to invest the more money in improving the quality of child care.

        조선중기 양아록 (養兒錄)을 통해 본 아동 인식

        This study explored the conception of children as portrayed in a personal diary written the middle period of the Chosun Dynasty. The Yangalok is a daily record in which Moonkun Lee wrote how he brought up his grandson. The Yangalok is an important historical document, showing how people brought up their children and indicating their conception of childhood. Research questions included the definition of the period of childhood and a description of parent-child relationships. It was found that childhood was completed by age sixteen, the importance of the child as family member hinged on his position as an heir, and the parent-child relationship was defined by Chin(親), including qualities of both love and discipline.

        조선 후기 풍속화를 통해 본 아동인식

        This study of 54 folk paintings of the late chosen period analyzed the perception of children of that period. Three types of children`s activities were identified: children playing, children working hard, and children studying hard. Only boys participated in these activities along with their parents or grandparents: girls were relegated to the background, along the fence. Conclusions were that people recognized play as a natural part of childhood. children`s lives were defined by social status: children of the yangban (upper) class had to study hard for their family`s honor while children of the lower classes had to labor for their family`s livelihood. Children were recognized as members of a family and a community. Boys were considered important because they were heirs to the family fortune: girls were to be supportive of men and family.
