쏨뱅이아목 (Scorpaenoidei) 어류에 속하는 꼼치과 (Liparidae)어류는 형태적으로 유사하고 오동정 가능성이 크며 체색 과 몸의 상대적인 크기 변이가 심하여 분류학적으로도 상당히 혼란스러운 분류군이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 꼼치과 어류의 자원변동을 이해하고 자원관리를 위해 국내 보고된 3속 10종을 대상으로 분자계통 및 분류학적 재검토를 수행하였다. 미토콘드리아DNA COI 영역과 핵DNA RAG2 영역의 염기서열을 이용한 분자계통 분석 결과, 물미거지가 분홍꼼치와 가깝게 유집되는 mtCOI 계통 결과를 제외하면 3속 (분홍꼼치속, 물미거지속, 꼼치속)이 대등한 단계통성을 나타내었다. Gilbert and Burke (1912)는 L. ochotensis와 구분되는 한국산 미거지를 L. ingens로 신종 보고하였으나, 본 연구에서 한국산 미거지는 일본산 및 러시아산 L. ochotensis와 형태 및 분자에서 잘 일치하 였으므로 한국산 미거지의 학명을 L. ingens에서 L. ochotensis로 변경한다. The snailfishes (Scorpaenoidei: Liparidae) is a large group requiring taxonomic reviews because of a potential taxonomic confusion due to its great similarity in external morphology between species and a variation of its body color with size. Molecular phylogeny and taxonomic review were conducted for 10 species in 3 genera reported around the Korean waters, which facilitate understanding interrelationship within its family, and further management of fisheries resources. Molecular phylogeny using mitochondrial COI (mtCOI) and nuclear RAG2 (nRAG2) sequences indicates that the reciprocal monophyly of the three genera (Careproctus, Crystallichthys, and Liparis) were supported except Crystallichthys matsushimae, being closely related to Careproctus notosaikaiensis in only mtDNA COI topology. Liparis ingens Gilbert and Burke (1912) was reported as a distinct species differing from L. ochotensis. However, in the present study, comparing L. ingens from Korea with L. ochotensis from Japan and Russia, the two species were well corresponded in their morphology and molecule, therefore, we suggest L. ingens to be treated as a junior synonym of L. ochotensis.

형태 및 분자 특징에 의한 한국산 꼼치(Liparis tanakae)의 집단 구조

Tanaka`s snailfish, Liparis tanakae (Gilbert and Burke, 1912), is distributed throughout the coasts of Korea. To clar-ify the population structure of L. tanakae, we analyzed the morphological and genetic variation among individuals sampled from three localities surrounding the Korean peninsula: Boryeong in the Yellow Sea, Jinhae in the Korea Strait and Pohang in the East Sea. Principal component analysis based on 20 morphometric characteristics revealed two slightly distinct groups (Boryeong vs. Jinhae and Pohang). However, canonical discriminant analysis clearly revealed three groups, separated according to locality. Pairwise differentiation index (FST) comparisons based on 762-base pairs mitochondrial cytochrome b gene sequences showed that Boryeong significantly differed from Jinhae and Pohang, but Jinhae and Pohang did not significantly differ from each other. Our findings suggest that Korean L. tanakae comprise at least two groups. Further studies using more sensitive DNA markers, such as microsatellite DNA, are required.

쏨뱅이목 꼼치과에 속하는 Careproctus colletti 1개체 (표준체장 373.2mm)가 강원도 동해시 주변해역에서 자망에 의해 체집되었다, 본 종은 양턱에 피침형의 날카로운 송곳니가 나 있고, 새공의 하단이 가슴지느러미 상단에 이르지 못하고, 가슴 지느러미 하단의 연조가 항문을 지나 길게 신장되며, 둥지느러미와 뒷지느러미의 자강자리가 어두운 점이 특징이다, 우리나라에서 처음 보고되는 본 종이 국명으로 "먹분홍꼼치"를 제안한다. A single specimen (373.2mm SL)of the snailfish Careproctus colletti was collected by gill-net at Donghae-si, East sea, Korea, This species is characterized by having the slender and stick- like teeth, lower end of gill opening not reaching to upper origin oecitoral fin, raus of lowerpart of pectoral fin long, reaching behind anus and margins of dorsal and anal fin dark, We described it as the first record to Koroan fish fauna, and proposod the new Koroan name "Meok -bun-hong-kkom-chi" for this species.
