Aluminum (Al) and copper(Cu) are non-ferrous alloys with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity but have relatively lower mechanical properties than iron alloys. Stainless steel(STS), an iron alloy, is a high-strength industrial material due to its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance compared to non-ferrous Al and Cu. In this research combined Al, Cu, and STS to fabricate as a functionally graded material (FGM) through a powder metallurgical process. The produced FGM exhibited lightweight and excellent surface hardness compared to copper and iron alloys and also showed higher thermal conductivity than single Al and STS materials.

The current situation and problems of the ‘Yongsan Electronics Market’ project site have been considered in various scenarios, and the design principle of “Less And More” has been applied. This design principle was inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s “Less is More”. The goal of this project is to restore the disconnected community among young people and propose a residential community utilizing public spaces. Through this, we aim to promote the integration of the local community and provide opportunities for people to interact and grow as a community. This project is expected to have a positive impact on more people and contribute to the development of our city.

In modern and contemporary history, Huam-dong’s past has a background in which it has no choice but to respond to rapidly changing social changes and waves, and the situation that continues to this day exists as a difference in terms of the landscape of the original downtown area. There are many low-rise housing complexes with high density on the slopes, but the area brings a sense of disconnected isolation as huge barrier structures are built. Therefore, this research point of view starts with solving matters viewed from the surrounding contextual perspective by providing a utilization plan rather than approaching them from the perspective of the problem. These are the things that should be reflected in the plan. Huam-dong provides a plan with the establishment of long-term memory rather than a series of short-term memories of moments amid continuous social changes. It constitutes a rebuttal of the structure that locality itself, rather than physical problems, has no choice but to create an autistic space on its own. With the path through the reconstruction of the path as the minimum memory medium, it is planned as a lateral response relationship to protect its unique character through connectivity. It is finally defined as the use of stagnant space by proposing the connection of memory, expansion, reconstruction, and opening of space through the reconstruction and association planning of space with autistic space.

The purpose of this study is to propose a new form of housing for the Korean baby boomers. Unlike the existing elderly generation, which has an image of being ‘poor’ and ‘inactive’, the new elderly generation is wealthy and has a desire to engage in active social activities. Therefore, we propose a new type of housing that can meet the characteristics of the existing elderly and the needs of the new elderly generation. In our proposed residential complex, the elderly can receive care services and individualized medical care if necessary, and can choose a place to live in stages according to individual medical grades. In addition, the complex will also provide single-occupancy housing for young people in the area, enabling them to interact with the younger generation through the sharing of common spaces. Seniors will not have to stay in uncomfortable housing nor leave familiar surroundings, and will be able to maintain close relationships with their neighbors.

Gwangju Station was at the center of economic growth as a major transportation hub in Gwangju. However, the area near Gwangju Station, which lost its function, declined, and accordingly, in line with new changes, not just a platform as a railway station. This proposal intended to accommodate new changes and provide a new platform as an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable foundation for Gwangju citizens.

‘Diversity’ includes several categories. For people of race, age, gender, culture, diversity includes both extroverts and introverts. And unit dwellings, villages, and cities are made by a group of people with diversity. We wanted to plan an environment in which a network of diversity can be formed and constantly intertwined through streets in Itaewon, where we think there is a street environment where this image of diversity is best expressed. So we planned a pallet-like complex where various people meet various scenes on the road and paint their lives.

The individualistic trend shown for the benefit of the people appeared as high apartments located along the Han River. This ignores the urban landscape and forms a high barrier to mask the color of Seoul, and violates the right to sunlight, view, and ventilation of the surrounding buildings. To solve these problems, we have actively attracted Tonggyeong Chuk and propose a new type of housing to accommodate various people in the isolated Ichon 1-dong.
