Background: Infants with deformational plagiocephaly (DP) usually present with cranialvault deformities as well as facial asymmetry. The purpose of this study was to use threedimensionalanthropometric data to evaluate the influence of cranial deformities onfacial asymmetry. Methods: We analyzed three-dimensional computed tomography data for infants withDP (n=48) and without DP (n=30, control). Using 16 landmarks and 3 reference planes,22 distance parameters and 2 angular parameters were compared. This cephalometricassessment focused on asymmetry of the orbits, nose, ears, maxilla, and mandible. We then assessed the correlation between 23 of the measurements and cranial vaultasymmetry (CVA) for statistical significance using relative differences and correlationanalysis. Results: With the exception of few orbital asymmetry variables, most measurementsindicated that the facial asymmetry was greater in infants with DP. Mandibular and nasalasymmetry was correlated highly with severity of CVA. Shortening of the ipsilateralmandibular body was particularly significant. There was no significant deformity in themaxilla or ear. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that the cranial vault deformity in DP is associatedwith facial asymmetry. Compared with the control group, the infants with DP werefound to have prominent asymmetry of the nose and mandible.

In this paper, robust digital watermarking scheme to transmit effectively the compressed medical image in mobile Internet. First, we compressed image using fixed length code (FLC) which can be classified by significance. Second, we add the error correction code to watermark data for robust transmission. Third, in order to maintain image quality, we embed with watermark bits in the least significant bits of the host image. And we transmit the watermarked image on a Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing/16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (OFDM/16QAM) and confirm its performance by the computer simulation. Last, we compare the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) performance of watermarked image and the Mean Square Error (MSE) performance of watermarking data which is corrected or is not corrected.
무선 네트워크에서 Snoop 프로토콜을 적용한 TCP성능 향상

TCP performs at an acceptable efficiency over the traditional wired networks where packet losses are usually caused by network congestion. However, in networks with wireless links in addition to wired segments this assumption would be insufficient, as the high wireless bit error rate could become the dominant cause of packet loss and thus TCP performs sub-optimum under these new conditions. As the main reason of this poor performance for TCP we may raise the fact that TCP cannot distinguish between packet losses due to wireless errors from those due to congestion. In this paper, based on the existing Snoop protocol, we evaluate performance improvement of TCP at the base station and throughput performance of a new protocol named AT(Adaptive-Timer) Snoop Protocol at the base station with multiple mobile host. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the throughput performance of TCP in wireless environment significantly.
무선 CDMA 망에서 WTR SAR 알고리즘과 RLP 를 고려한 WAP 패킷의 성능 분석

이동 단말기에 의한 데이터 통신 서비스가 증가함에 따라, 높은 에러율과 이동성을 가진 무선 환경에서 사용자의 요구에 의한 인터넷 컨텐츠의 접속이 효율적으로 이루어지기 위해 WAP 이라는 프로토콜이 제안되었다. 그러나, 현재 WAP의 전송 속도가 제한되어 있기 때문에, 데이터를 송수신하는 데는 많은 시간이 소요된다. 본 논문은 WTP-SAR(Wireless Transaction Protocol-Segment And Re-assembly) 알고리즘을 사용하여 WAP 패킷의 전송 시간을 분석하였다. 이러한 WAP의 전송 능력을 향상시키기 위한 한 방법으로 WTP에서 SAR 기능을 사용하여 상위 계층에서 내려온 전체 메시지를 분할하고, RLP(Radio Kink Protocol) 타임 슬롯에서 패킷을 전송한다. 그리고 차세대 시스템을 위한 무선 CDMA 망에서 다양한 RLP 계층의 크기를 고려한 WAP패킷의 전송 시간을 분석한다. 결과로부터 WAP 패킷의 전송 시간과 이에 따른 효율적인 WAP 패킷의 크기를 얻을 수 있었다. With the growth of data communication servie by mobile devices, WAP is proposed to efficiently access the Internet contents by user request through wireless condition that has a high error rate and mobility. But, because a transmission speed of WAP is limited, it takes many times to transmit and to receive the data. This paper has studied the WAP packet transmission time using WTP-SAR algorithm. As a method that is to improve transfer capability of WAP, using SAR function in WTP. total message down from upper layer has been fragmented and packet is transmited through RLP frame time slot. Then, we have analyzed the transmission time of WAP packet with variable RLP layer size on the wireless CDMA network for next generation systems. From the results, we could obtain the WAP packet transmission time and optimal WTP packet size.
