The vulnerability of aircraft, especially rotary wing aircraft, has been an ongoing issue since their advent in combat operations during the 1940s. In this paper, representative sensors for survivability of those aircraft in modern battlefield are surveyed and top level requirements and parameters are defined. Also problems of multi-sensor alignment on modern agile and flexible platform are discussed and several techniques such as static alignment and transfer alignment are introduced.

The study was carried out to observe the external and internal structure of sex pheromone gland by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy in the Oriental tobacco budworm, Heliothis assulta Guenee. The results obtained are as follows. 1. The sex pheromone gland consists of a complete ring of glandular epithelium between 8th and 9th abdominal segments. 2. The cuticle overlying the sex pheromone gland is highly oscillated and has many microspines. 3. The sex pheromone-producing cells are considerably enlarged and have many granules stained by toluidine blue. 4. The cuticle overlying the sex pheromone-producing cells varies unevenly in thickness in an oscillating fashion and is thinner than that of other ordinary epidermal cells.

현재까지 Precocenes에 의한 조숙변태 유발효과는 몇 종을 제외하고는 불완전 변태류에 국한되어 있었다. 본 실험은 Precocense에 의한 완전변태류 곤충의 조숙변태유발 가능성을 알아보기 위하여 담배나방(Heliothis assulta Guenee)의 4령 유충에 처리하였다. 본 실험에서 PrecoceneⅠ과 PrecoceneⅡ의 조숙변태유발효과를 발견할 수 있었다. 처리 약량 내에서 PrecoceneⅠ보다 PrecoceneⅡ가 더 효과적이었고, 치사율도 Precocene Ⅱ처리구에서 더 높았다. 본 실혐의 결과로 Precocenes 에 의한 조숙변태 유발은 종에 따라서 완전변태류 곤충에 대해서도 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. Up to now, Precocenes have been reported to be ineffective in inducing precocious metamorphosis in holometabolous larvae. To study the effects of precocenese on precocious metamorphosis of holometabolous larvae, we tested the effects of precocenes on pupal metamorphosis of the Oriental tobacco budworm, Heliothis assulta, the major insect pest on the hot pepper in Korea. In this study, precocenes were effective in inducing precocious pupal metamorphosis in this budworm. In the range of doses treated in this experiment, precocene Ⅱ is more effective than precocene Ⅰ. In the case of precocene Ⅱhigh mortality rate was shown in all treatments.
