        산형과 식물의 세포분류학적 연구 - Angelica 속 및 Cnidium 속 식물의 염색체 수와 화분 결실도

        A comparative study on Angelica and Cnidium, the two genera of Umbelliferae growing in Korea, was carried about the cytology and fertility of pollen. The somatic chromosome number of Umbelliferae was found almost to be 2N=22. Both species of Kang-whal and Chun-gung were found to be in polyploid with different chromosome numbers each other. The pollen fertility among the species of Angelica was high, but Toh-chun-gung was zero percent. The species of Angelica have been generated with pollen fertility, but species of Cnidium with only root or rootlet.

        택사의 항균 및 항진균 작용에 관한 연구

        We previously reported the morphological, physiochemical characteristics of Alismae Rhizoma. In this study, we examined the antimicrobial and antifungal activities of 85% ethanol and water extracts of Alismae Rhizoma using disc method. Ethanol extracts of Korean Alismae Rhizoma showed antimicrobial activity on B. subtilis and S. aureus on the concentration dependent manner, whereas, Chinese Alismae Rhizoma revealed antimicrobioal activity on E. coli and N. gonorrhoeae. The water solution(500 mg/ml) of each lyophilized powder of aqueous extracts didn't show any antimicrobial activity on B. subtilis, S. aureus and E. coli, on the contrary, they stimulated cell growth slightly. Ethanol extracts of Korean samples showed antifungal activity on A. niger, but not on C. albicans. Neither A. niger nor C. albicans were affected by Chineses samples.

        택사의 생약학적 연구

        In order to clarify the originality of several Alisma Rhizomes, we investigated the differences of their morphological, anatomical and physiochemical characteristics. Morphological observation shows the variability of Alisma shape and quality. The diversities in morphological shapes and qualities of tuber were observed among different origins. Chinese product looked like corm shape, but korean's irregular shape. The microscopic observation of korean Alisma revealed the presence of irregular vascular bundle which was scattered transversely and longitudinaly, which was different from that of the rhizome. This facts suggest that the portion of crude drug in Alisma should be the corm rather than the rhizome. In the physicochemical differences, chinese Alisma contains larger amount of mineral elements such as K, Na and Ca than korean Alisma. On the contrary, protein contents in lyophilized powder of aqueous extracts in korean Alisma rhizome was significantly higher than chinese Alisma rhizome. The leaves and stems contained larger amount of Ca and Na than tuber, and may be used as the osmotic diuretics for chinese traditional medicine.

        난과식물의 생약학적 연구

        In order to estimate accurate originality of the important crude drugs, Gastrodia, Dendrobium, Bletilla and Cremastra spp. were investigated comparing their morphological, anatomical and physicochemical characteristics and antibacterial, antifungal activities. The results of the studies as follows: 1. In morphological and anatomical studies, Korean Gastrodia contained more mucilage duct and symbiotic fungi than imported Gastrodia. Korean Dendrobium contained starch grains but without starch grains in the imported Dendrobium from China enclosed with thicken silicified wall. The corm of Cremasta appendiculata contained raphides of bundles with mucilage while the bulbs of Tulipa edulis contained several various starch grains form. 2. In physiological and TLC analysis, crude drugs in Orchidaceae contained common constituents with fluorescence and much mucilage. 3. The EtOH extracts of Gastrodia, Dendrobium, Bletilla, Cremastra showed antibacterial activities against B. subtilis and E. coli (Dendrobium>Gastrodia>Bletilla>Cremastra). But, no antifungal activities against C. albicans, A. niger were observed.

        Aloe재배품의 형태와 이화학적연구

        There are about 180 species of Aloe which is a fleshy plant growing wild in the tropic regions. Among six species recorded in Pharmacopoeia., Aloe ferox Mill (Cape Aloe), Aloe barbadenis Mill (Aloe vera L.) (Curacao Aloe), Aloe perrxi Baker (Socotra Aloe) are being currently used, Main components are aloin, barbaloinn, aloeside, aloesin, aloctin, aloe ulcin and alomicin, etc. There are reports that Aloe is effective for the treatment of circulatory a digestive and skin diseases, diabetes, tumor, cancer, allergy, antibiosis and inflammation. In this study, three species of Aloe, Aloe arborescence, Aloe vera and Aloe saponaria, which are cultivated in this country, were compared with their morphological, histological and cytological aspects and investigated their physico-chemical properties. Especially the authors examined on skin disease of Aloe juices with Aspergillus niger`s hyphae.

        수종 자양 강장생약류의 형태 및 이화학적 성상 비교

        Anatomical and physico-chemical properties of some nutrient and tonic crude drugs have been estimated and compared. Resin duct and druse crystal were observed more in Acanthopanax Cortex than in Ginseng Radix. Bast fiber bundle and solitary crystals were abandantly present in Glycyrrhizae Radix. Mucilage crude drugs contained mucilage ducts and bundles of raphides as common components and their arrangements of vascular bundles were different. TLC analysis showed different patterns of saponin, flavonoid, γ-aminohutyric acid and sitosterols.

        수종 Inulin 함유식물의 생약학적 연구

        Taxonomic relationships between some inulin containing plants such as Platycodon and Codonopsis have been investigated comparing their contents of inulin crystals, resin, as well as TLC patterns of saponins and acetylenes. Although Platycodon and Codonopsis have been known to be close in anatomic characters, the present results showed that there were significant differences between not only in the genus but also in the species.

        한국 산약류의 생약학적 연구

        산약은 Dioscoreaceae에 속하는 Dioscorea batatas Decne의 근경을 건조시킨 생약으로써 우리나라 각 지에 자생, 재배되고 있는 생약자원의 하나이다. 고래로 자양, 강장약의 보기약이며 지사, 거담, 당뇨병에도 쓰이고 있으며 근래에는 마의 생체를 식용하는 자연건강식품으로 많이 애용되고 있다. 한방에서 쓰고 있는 산약(Dioscoreae Rhizoma)은 자생마를 증건한 것을 생산약이라하고 재배 마의 것을 식산약으로 분류하고 있어 생약학적으로 비교 실험하였다. 외부형태, 내부형태, 세포내함유물 조직에 결정형을 관찰하였으며 분말 검체 또 생체검체로서 화학적 분석, 물성실험등을 비교한 결과 성분적, 성상등에 큰 차이점이 나타났으며 생산약이 품질면에서 두드러지게 우수함이 인정되었다.

        한국산 천남성속 식물과 반하속 식물의 화학적 분류

        생약학적으로 중요한 약효를 지니는 Arisaema속 4종과 pinellia속 2종에 대하여 형태학적 특징과 조직구조 및 세포내 함유물을 비교하여 식물분류학적 지견과 물리화학적 측면에서 속간, 종간의 유연관계를 검토하였다. 외부형태적으로 유사한 천남성 종류들은 종간 종내에 형태적 변이성이 커서 종분류의 혼돈이 되고 있다. 天南星(Arisaematis Rhizoma)에는 여러종의 구경이 혼존되어 있고 근연속인 pinellia속의 종과로 혼돈될 우려가 있어 이들중의 생약을 형태적으로 정확히 분류하여 각 시료검체에 대해서 화학적, 생화학적 및 물리적성상을 비교 실험하였던 바 종간의 각형질의 차이와 성분, 성상등이 상이하여 화학적 특징으로도 분류될 수 있음이 제시되었다.
