As demand for energy improvement of existing buildings increases, the importance of building information to evaluate energy performance is increasing. It is necessary to collect and analyze energy performance related data since the operation or occupancy characteristics of existing buildings have a great impact on energy use. To manage the energy performance of existing buildings, the purpose of this paper is to survey and analyze the energy use characteristics of public office buildings in Korea, including operational conditions. Sampling was conducted and survey items were estabilshed based on the domestic and international survey cases. Next, we showed the importance and necessity of systematic investigation through correlation analysis between survey items and single regression analysis on energy consumption.

As the window-to-wall ratio of office buildings has been increasing, the ability to control the heat gain and daylight through windows has become important to improve the building energy efficiency. Internal shading system can be an alternative of reducing cooling and heating energy consumption because it can be automatically controlled according to the environmental conditions. In this study, the energy simulations were conducted to evaluate control strategies of interior roller blind system. The energy saving effects were analyzed for the various shading strategies in office building. Energy use for heating, cooling and lighting were calculated by COMFEN 4.1. The choice of shading strategy should be conducted considering window orientations and glazing types.
국내 건축물 에너지 효율화 설계 지원 프로그램 구축 방안

Due to the increasing demand for building energy efficiency, many countries have introduced the energy efficient building design support programs to help user"s decision-making. With these programs, it is possible to conduct parametric analysis for design variables as well as to find optimal ECM among numbers of possible combinations. This paper reviews current trends in simulation-based energy efficient building design support programs and analyzes their framework to derive some considerations for developing a new program in Korea. The process and interface of each program were investigated and compared. The structures of ECM DB and economic analysis model were also analyzed. Based on the comparative analysis, development strategies and considerations were suggested including function, restrictions, user-level, etc.
